"Well alright if you say so." She replied as she went to grab some of the supplies to start a fire. She then gently put them on the ground and asked, "Can somepony start the fire?" as she went to get some water.

Bumble replied, "I'll start the fire, it can't be too hard." She leaned in and grabbed two of the flint stones lying on the ground and smashed them together over the wood. With no immediate result, she tried repeatedly a few times before the fire finally started blazing. Sitting back in an upright position, she called back to Octavinyl, "Fire's a-blazing!"

"I'll clean the vegetables." he said, grabbing a pot to wash them in. Turning around, he saw the pony lighting the fire.

 

"Name's White Lightning, by the way." he added, before turning back around to grab the vegetables.

Octavinyl brought back a bucket of clean and non-stagnant water. "Can somepony boil this water for me? I don't think it'll be safe enough to drink until we boil it first to make sure." She said as she put the bucket 2 feet away from the fire.

"Hi, my name is Bumble Berry." Octavinyl then came back with a bucket of water. Octavinyl asked if someone could boil the water to make it safe to drink. This time she stood up and went over to the bucket, picking it up and carefully placing it over the fire. She then looked around for something to cover the bucket with. Not seeing anything, she sat next to the fire, watching the water until it would start bubbling.

Using a bit of water to clean the vegetables, he turned around when he heard Octavinyl shout out. Bumble Berry responded right away and started heating the water. Remembering he had to cook the vegetables afterwards, he turned around and said:

 

"Give me a shout when it's cooking, so I can throw in the vegetables!"

"All right, it should be a few more minutes," Bumble replied, noticing a small amount of steam rising from the water. As one or two minutes more passed, the first bubbles came up, seconds later turning into a rapid stream of bubbles. "It's ready," Bumble shouted without turning an eye from the bucket.

Hearing Bumble shout the water was done, he grabbed the vegetables and carefully dropped them in the water, making sure not to spill any of the scalding hot water.

 

"That has to cook for about 10 minutes...in the mean while, let's grab plates and forks and knives and all so we can dive in right away!" he said, getting back up again to grab the necessary supplies.

 

Hey, you haven't been socially awkward for the last 10 minutes. Good. Sigh, I should stop being so negative about myself all the time.

 

His smile disappeared a bit, now replaced by a rather troubled face. He wondered if they were just being nice because they didn't want to hurt him or were actually happy he was here.

Bumble stood up and cantered over to the pile of supplies, seeking out a plate, fork and knife. She then returned to her seat and patiently waited for the vegetables to finish cooking as the other ponies started to grab their plates and eating utensils.

Setting down his plate, he looked around again. It seemed as if nopony had noticed they have been cooking. He didn't had a lot of time to think about it though, his, or rather their vegetables were done.

 

Walking back to the fire, he took the pot off the fire and shouted: "Alright, supper's ready!" holding up the pot of vegetables. He grabbed a salt & pepper set and walked back to the waiting group of hungry ponies.

 

"Alright, Bumble and Octavinyl get some first, since they helped cooking it." he said before proceeding to give everypony their meal.

 

But at the end of his round giving the ponies their food, he looked back in the pot and saw... nothing.

 

"Ah ponyfeathers.... forgot to keep some for myself." he mumbled, looking in the now empty pot of vegetables with a disappointed face.

Octavinyl saw the look on White Lightning's face. She got an empty plate and put half of the vegetables she had onto the empty plate. She then handed it over to White Lightning. "Here you go, we can't let the pony who cooked for us starve now." She said as she went back to slowly eating her supper.

Quillusion who had just walked out of her tent smiled. She had smelled the food cooking, but she had been late, so she didn't get any. She didn't want any anyway. She walked over to where the others were eating and sat down, not talking.

Octavinyl saw Quillusion who didn't have any food or plate and walked over to her. "Here you go." She said to quillusion as she shared her meal with her. "Well is that everypony? Wait where's Morning star?" She added as she went into her tent a few seconds later.

As Octavinyl passed some of her vegetables to White Lightning, she tried some of the food and found it rather exquisite. "Wow, this is fantastic, I look forward to eating this type of stuff the next days." Her next thought was that she should contribute more to making food than making a fire and boiling some water. "I'll make breakfast tomorrow morning, if you ponies don't mind. I think I found some eggs in a tree somewhere near the bus."

"Oh I don't want any." Quillusion said, giving it back. She watched the other ponies eat. She never talked to them, she really did not like talking. "Oh Quillusion you silly pony, look what kind of mess you got into." She asked herself.

His ears perked up when he saw her putting half her meal on his empty plate. Looking back at her he gave her a smile.

 

"Thanks. You helped out good too." he replied.

 

Sitting down, he grabbed some salt, sprinkled a bit over his food and started to eat it slowly, enjoying his own meal. While eating, he overheard Bumble Berry talking about how she liked the food.

 

He glanced over to her and replied with a smile: "No problem, just give me a shout if you need anything else. Oh, and you can do breakfast tomorrow, I was going for a flight in the morning anyways,"

 

He then noticed another pony he hadn't met yet refusing the plate of food she was given.

 

She doesn't look very comfortable...eh, nevermind, let's enjoy my own meal first.

"I can't possibly eat all of this, besides you need to eat too. It's not good to starve on just the second day of camp." She responded. "Is something troubling you? You seem upset, so what's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothings wrong, I never eat a lot." Quillusion replied. She didn't want to tell them how much she hated camp. This outdoors stuff wasn't her favourite thing to do. "Oh I wonder how long this camp last."

(OOC: Guys and girls, isn't this the first day of camp? I spoke to Embers earlier, she said this is the first evening on the first day of camp, not the second one. Just saying, I want to avoid more confusion.)

"You never eat a lot, but you never said you never eat. This isn't too much, a single bite can't hurt now can it?" She added as she pushed a carrot towards Quillusion. "Something is wrong with her, she seems pretty upset." She thought to herself.

Looking up from his plate, he saw Octavinyl talking to Quillusion again, seemingly worried about Quillusion being upset.

 

Why isn't she eating? A simple carrot can't hurt you, right?

 

Smiling at her, he said: "What's wrong, not a fan of carrots?"

(Whoo you guys seem to post the most when im at school!! Seriously two whole pages in about 10 hours.....Also White Lightning to your earlier post this morning i didn't say the other ponies were sleeping just me.)

 

Blaze smelt something it smelt really good so he flew to the source of the delectable scent and he saw alot of the other ponies helping each other make something. "Ill just hold off the question for Lightning for now right now i wanna eat" Blaze thought. He figured he'd want to help somehow so he just asked the group as a whole

"Fine." Quillusion said taking the carrot and eating it. "Wow that was good.". She looked up at Octavinyl. "Did you help make that because it was very good." She said smiling.

Embers yawned and walked out of his tent, his eyes were blurr, he was still half in a sleep, and in his dream "whaaaat?" He yawned and looked around "You guys wake up to early" *yawn* (D: grrrr, 3 pages and i just got back from school)

He saw Quillusion finally take a bite of the carrot she was offered.

 

Looking at her again, he said: "Heh, see? The food won't kill you or anything, and don't worry, this camp is gonna be fun."
