gaming The "How much can I sell this old game for" topic

So at a flea market I saw Secret of Mana for 70 bucks, just the cartridge. Now I know that's overpriced, but I have a boxed copy and a cartridge copy I got for free from a friend's grandma and I don't really like the game, so no emotional connection. I don't plan on selling the games to him, cause he'll rip me off. So I thought I'd ask you kind gents how much it's worth so I may sell it online, and save up for something better like a tablet or pony cards.

If you got any questions about how much your stuff is worth just ask, someone may deliver the answer you desire.

$50 would be the base price for sure -- I've seen them go for as high as $200, and as low as $0.50. It depends on the quality of the cartridge, whether or not it still has the sticker intact, the integrity of the cart pins, and most importantly -- you can sell it for hundreds of dollars if it's unopened and never been played. If it has been opened but you still have the box, it still could go for $80+.

Perhaps you could lend us a photo of it at multiple angles? Specifically, ones of the inside pins and the front face.

And on another note... :( how could you not like the Secret of Mana?

Okey doke here's the pictures.

The box has a tiny bit of wear, and I don't have the map the box claims it has.

I got the manual though.

The reason I dislike it is, well people were putting it up there with Chrono Trigger and Earthbound, but to me it didn't come close to that caliber of awesome.

And the first boss was the worst introductory boss ever.

well i had a boxed copy of breath of fire that i sold for £100 and then re-bought the cartage from someone else for £3, it all about who you sell it to because NeS game in the box are considered collectors items, so i'd say around $60 - $90+ it all about were you sell it and if there are any collectors interested

I hate it when people selling games at flea markets actually know what they're worth :(

I also hate it when PSN comes along and releases a ton of stuff online, slashing the prices of my hard copies :( I am not okay with my near mint copy of Persona 3 FES not being worth at least $40 anymore. Not that I'd ever sell it, of course :)

I know that feel, if Nintendo got off their ass and released Earthbound on the virtual console I wouldn't have to shell out 150+ dollars just for the cartridge.

There is such a thing as emulators, you know... Not as good as the real thing, but still, it's better than the alternative.

I've finished Earthbound and Mother 3 already on an emulator, but the fanboy in me strives to have a physical copy.
