Is this actually your first? I've heard many peoples' first attempts and this is much better than them. Your understanding of the percussion beat is already more advanced than mine was when I started. A few suggestions though:

 

The "water drop" blip noise (idk how to describe but I think you know) is kinda screechy. Perhaps you could turn down the resonance on it? Which synth plugin are you using?
