Vinyl walked to the front of the platform and pointed toward the direction of the base with her hoof. "It's about five miles that way. You shouldn't need clearance to land, since most, if not all, of the base was deployed and killed. Don't worry, last time I was there, everypony was leaving."

Earth landed the craft down on the ground next to the base, and Vinyl Blade was right, it looked deserted. "I'll stay here and make sure no zombies come. I also want to make sure nothing happens to this thing." Air stayed as well. He felt the need to stay with his brother, you never know what moment is the last.

"Alright everypony! Let's get to it! Sorry Octavinyl, but I think I'll take the helm on this operation. Octavinyl and Flame, y'all're with me. We're going to go stockpile weapons. The rest of you go to that building over there and get as many MREs as y'all can carry. And Opals, y'all already know what you're doing. Stay here and look after Starbolt and the craft. Alright, let's go!"

Octavinyl just sat on the ground, fighting just wasn't her thing. Though she was surrounded by equipment that would greatly help them, she would never pick up a firearm and use it. "Hey is there anything like vests are armor that we can use? We might need it if we encounter those things again."

"Move it! They're going to be coming from everywhere as soon as that alarm goes, so be ready to run like the dickens! We don't need heroes, so if you feel like there's too many, run! On my mark! 1! 2! MARK!" Standoff (He introduced himself while they were landing) tore towards the specified building, the alarm blaring. Cue music!

Flame followed Vinyl Blade and Octavinyl towards a small metal building that looked to be an armory. I dislike guns so anything old fashion like swords or maybe throwing knifes would be nice, I am going to attempt building a rope dart out of this cord I found in the hospital so a smaller knife that I can drill holes in would be nice. He said pulling out a long thin piece of rope. I will do that later though, Right now I will just gather guns for everypony else.

Misty nodded. She'd rather listen to Vinyl Blade. She was superior to Octavinyl as a leader. Misty ran for the building that Vinyl Blade had pointed out. She scrambled inside and began gather as much MREs as she could carry in a bag she found inside. Turning around, she spotted a shadow in the distance. She made a blind dash back to the slab of earth. She just hoped whoever was with her had been keeping up. She emptied the sack and ran back for more.

"LEFT! GO LEFT! Good job! Look out in front!" Standoff is running behind Misty with another sack, shouting orders as he runs. "THREE MORE! We've got this in the bag!... HA ha ha! Oh, I'm funny." He empties the sack and goes back for another. "THIS IS JUST LIKE PLAYING LEFT 4 HERD 2!"

"You ponies really don't appreciate modern technology. Whatever, vests and other body armor are over there, bayonets are over there. I'll be over here, getting weapons and ammunition. Whatever you do, don't stray too far. There aren't any infected here, but in case we have to make a quick ex-fill, I want you two to be close."

Octavinyl found herself a small full-body white light combat suit with a riot helmet. As she put the whole thing on, she noticed a bunch of weapons lined up onto a rack. She tried to ignore anything that had to do with weaponry as much as possible, but it just seemed that whenever she watched somepony kill a zombie, it felt like they were killing an ill person.

Flame walked over to where Vinyl had pointed and took two bayonets, he then started putting hoof (I was about to say hand) guns and ammo into his saddle bag. I like using old fashion things because I took kung fu and trained specifically in rope dart which doesn't need ammo and it can be quite deadly, so I prefer things that I can reuse. And yes I quite when I turned 20, but I still prefer it. He said placing more ammo into his Saddle Bag.

Air Opal called after the scrambling ponies as they ran to and from the slab of earth. "Bring some weapons for Earth and I, it would be nice to have something to protect ourselves with." He looked at the modern weapons being piled onto the earth, as well as other things.

Octavinyl flew to the rest of the group and took off her riot control helmet. "Everypony I have something very important to say. I mean giving up my role as leader. I've been foolish with my tactics lately to keept fortified in that hospital and I keep putting you ponies, my friends in danger. I am also leaving the group to head out on my own, I can't let my stupidity get you, my friends, my family into any harm." She shouted as she then finished and turned around. 'I'm not strong enough to be with them...' Octavinyl thought to herself as a tears went down her cheeks as she started to fly away unarmed.

Ruby followed the orders from Vinyl Blade and the flow of the bigger group of the ponies towards the buildings. She find a armor west that fit her rather well and some guns and ammo that was small enough for her to use with more ease, yes the spear-thing had worked this far, but who said it would last? The sight of the gun made her head spin at first, but she quickly tried to shrug it away and continued to pack things.

Silver Heart had followed Vinyls orders and grabbed some armor. She felt very awkward after putting it on, she wasn't used to wearing anything more than a dress or coat during winter. It didn't so constrict her movement so much as it just bothered her. Silver Heart was concerned for Octavinyl, she hadn't really rested enough over the last week. Octavinyl had been under a lot of stress and unnecessary guilt. Silver Heart listened as Octavinyl made her announcement and started to fly away. Silver Heart ran after her friend, knowing that a pony couldn't survive out there all alone. "Octainvyl wait!" Silver Heart shouted, as she ran.

Octavinyl turned around at the sound of Silver Heart shouting. She landed back down on the ground and looked at her friend, "What is it Silver Heart?" She asked as her ears were drooped while staring at the ground. "What do you want, there's nothing I can do anymore."

Silver Heart slowed to a walking speed. "What are you doing? Why are you leaving? You really shouldn't leave, at least not by yourself," Silver Heart said as she walked up to Octavinyl, "especially without a weapon. You can't blame yourself for everything that goes wrong."

Octavinyl looked back at Silver Heart and replied, "I need to leave so I wouldn't do anything stupid anymore. IT'S ALL MY FAULT THAT I'VE PUT YOU ALL IN DANGER!" she yelled as fell to the ground and burst out crying. "It's all my fault that L-Lapis died!." The pegasus added as she laid her face onto the ground.

Misty loaded the last of the food onto the earth platform. She had been just in time to hear Octavinyl's announcement. The weaker pony had stepped down of her own accord. And, Vinyl Blade would make a much better leader, even better than herself. "So, who's going to be leader now? I don't think we even voted for our last leader." she said with a sly grin. She was glad to see Octavinyl step down. But Misty felt the foolish stallion had wasted his life for nothing. He had showed initiative that the white mare did have. He sacrificed himself for a worthless pony who'd get herself killed if she left the group. But she kept it to herself. Silver Heart looked like she had it under control. Misty put on one of the vest and took up one of the stockpiled guns.

Silver Heart took a step back when Octavinyl yelled, she never did care much for confrontation or loud noises. She lifted Octavinyls face from the earth and hugged her. Silver Heart was silent for a few moments, letting Octavinyl cry. "I know it's hard for you but you can't just kill yourself, Lapis wouldn't want that. I believe he'd want you to stay safe. If you don't want to put us in dager anymore, you could just step down from being the leader and let someone else lead."

"I-If only I wasn't leader at first, then he would be still alive!" Octavinyl replied as she was hugged by Silver Heart. "I-I can't even stand to pick up a weapon. I can't help you guys at all!" she added as she was feeling miserable and just horrible. Octavinyl started to lose hope of everything.

"You can still help, you can help me with the injured. I can barely keep up with everypony. You don't need to be out there killing them to help us. Between Starbolt, the Opals, Misty, Vinyl Blade, and the others we have enough people focusing on offence and defense. We need more ponies on the support side."

Octavinyl tried to stop crying and nodded, but she still couldn't get Lapis out of her mind. She was still feeling guilty for him and was still feeling upset at Misty. "I don't know if I can help ponies by patching them up properly, I mean I never went to medical school." She replied as she toof off the light suit, she just didn't want to wear something that was made for combat. Octavinyl would still need armor so she settled for a small white medic suit.

"I know it's hard to go on without him and I wish there was something that I could do to help you. I can show you how to patch them up, sadly it really isn't that special of an ability to do...nor is it that hard to learn. And even if for some reason you can't help with the medicine side you would still be helping with the morale side. Most of these ponies look up to you as the leader and if your suddenly disappeared, it would have been a huge blow to their morale. And if you ever want to talk, I'm always willing to listen."

"Okay..." Octavinyl replied as she put the medic suit on. She was wondering if she would mess up on medicine, but at least she would try. "Where do we get started? I don't any of us are really injured at all." She added as she looked around to see everypony busy getting supplies.
