Im just a little shy and unsure when it comes to such regular games, where there isnt really a specific topic and my posts feel kinda out of context to all the conversations that you all have..

And in a similar Tread in an German Forum people actually told me to leave multiple times and said im annoying 

So im still concerned when im posting in such treads here

Or do you just want to know what i know about Silent Hill in general? 

Yes, i know Silent Hills, i know there was a Demo called P.T. and ive seen Lets Players playing it, so i know what the game was about, i also know that there are two games inspired by Silent Hills, which are being made right now, Allison Road and Layers of fear. 

Which games ive played so far :

Played Silent Hill 1 - 4, Origins, Shattered Memories and played a little bit of Homecoming.

Ive also seen a complete Lets play of Silent Hill - The Arcade and some of the Mobile Games.

Also ive watched both Movies

Well, i dont know how many games you have played, so i dont want to spoil everything...umm, i guess you mean the God, that you have to fight at the end, right? Because i never heard the term Sungod before 

Its hard to explain, because Silent Hill is a game, in which you are supposed to question your sanity,so..

They maybe pray to their god, and tell everyone they want to create a paradise but i mean you can see, how messed up the World looks in the " Otherworld " .

The world is full of monsters, blood and rust. All the people in the town have dissapeard , because they got probably killed and..if they god would be any good, i dont think all this messed up stuff would happen 

Thats why your character want to destroy this god, because it seems to be more like a devil.

But then again, some games point out, that much of the stuff that happens in the game, could just happen in your imagination and that the monsters you kill, are actually the towns people, that you see as monsters for some reason.

But i personally dont believe that theory, because this " Towns People " kill you right at the start in the first game, thats not what normal people would do, if someone visits their town

I like this place too, or as Vincent would say " Fascinating " 

Thats why i play those games, because of the Other Worlds

But here is the thing, you say, if they wouldnt blindly kill this god she would fix things up...but did you forget that this God killed the priest in the first Game, i mean this god literally blindly kills the people that believe in her.

 

Micheal Kaufmann believes in this God, and is part of the Silent Hill Cult and almost gets killed by one of the Monsters.

Both Dahlia and Claudia, who hardly believe in god, died because of this god.

 

And then there is the Fact that God constantly looks different, in Origins, God looks literally like the Devil, in Sh 1 god is some sort of a Goat Monster, in Silent Hill 2 god takes the form of someone dead wife for some reason ( at least in my opinion, god is james dead wife monster ) and in part 3, she looks kinda like Cheryl, but not in the slightest like the Person in the Picture you just showed me.

 

And then there is the Fact, that there was a Religion in Silent Hill, but the people of the town changed many facts to make the bible much more like the christian bible. The town was build on a holy place, that was destroyed by the new townspeople of Silent Hill.

So god, since she doesnt really belong to the christian believes, would be clearly angry at the people in Silent Hill and who knows if she even is this God from the Picture, when Part 2 tells us, that nobody really knows what a place Silent Hill was before all the new people moved there.

Personally, I think that the otherworld is affected by the emotions and beliefs of people, and the various orders of people trying to bring the Sun Goddess back into the world are crazy psychopaths, so the god and various other beings born from their beliefs and emotions are also crazy and psychopathic. Maybe if some kind, sane people started to affect the otherworld, it would become a nicer place.

That's right... Personally, I think that the otherworld is affected by the emotions and beliefs of people, and the various orders of people trying to bring the Sun Goddess back into the world are crazy psychopaths, so the god and various other beings born from their beliefs and emotions are also crazy and psychopathic. Maybe if some kind, sane people started to affect the otherworld, it would become a nicer place.

Well, Dahlia wanted power and control over anything, Claudia did go so far, that she killed people to get to her goal and Walter...well walter was a total psychopath who didnt even believed in their god, so that explains why god looks completely different in part 4 and just looks like a really hurt person. ( even though some fans say, this monster would be walter himself, but...nah, i think this thing was god ) .

 

I kinda would like to bring this god back, i mean if god helps to make this place a better place...but then again, maybe this god is really nothing more like a Monster, i mean in Part 3 they explain, that God grows stronger from pain and suffering...so you kinda have to by psychopathic or have to have a really sad and tragic backstory to even give this god power.

And then the people say, that this otherworld are just living Nightmares, from the people that go to the town...so that basically means, that gods world ( the other world ) can only be created if you have a really horrible backstory and that probably means, that you also would be some sort of..psychopathic then.

 

It just seems like Silent Hill is more of a purgatory and this God is more of a Devil. Or in other words a Judge that Punishes you for your sins. Like the Pyramid head from Silent Hill 2. Silent Hill just seems to be some sort of Hell.

But then again, no sane person has ever tried to awaken this god, so...who knows? 

Maybe God just becomes the Devil, because of the People that try to summon her, like you said
