(that was kind of godmodding, but I'll let it slide because 1 I hate this character and 2 I was planning on this anyway.)

 

Risho took a second to asses the situation, then he fell on his knees and groveled once he understood it was hopeless. "I... Butajiri is at the asylum! That's where he's making the portal! Please don't kill me! I wouldn't have pressed the button, I swear! I'm just a lower class, I don't know any better!"

Sapphire stares at him, "Wow. You really have 0 loyalty. Like, literally. Are all demons like this? No matter, you are strange. You didn't even put a bolt on the battery compartment." She dumps the batteries out onto the sidewalk, and stomps on the button sideways, crushing it to peices.

 

("I'm sorry Snailsuki, but I really really really thought it was polisble. Den can't really build strong walls anymore, and I can throw a knife with perfect accuracy. Seriously, it's why Den won't let me enter compititions. And then all I had to do was catch it. You coulda fought me for it; I thought that's what you wanted... I have to go to bed now, so Octi won't get mad...)

"And now you'll let me go?" Risho asked with tears in his eyes.

 

"He cannot be trusted." said Jack, "I say we kill him. No other option seems wise. We cannot save this city if we spare all the demons that cry for their lives."

 

Risho reached out his hand to Nightfall. "Come on! You believe in mercy don't you?"

"And now you'll let me go?" Risho asked with tears in his eyes.

 

"He cannot be trusted." said Jack, "I say we kill him. No other option seems wise. We cannot save this city if we spare all the demons that cry for their lives."

 

Risho reached out his hand to Nightfall. "Come on! You believe in mercy don't you?"

 

Nightfall stared at the demon thoughtfully.

"You know, Jack," he said, never moving his face or eyes from the demon. "The police station has been rigged to blow up. Not by us, but by someone in there. I agree he can't be trusted; who knows if he'll do the same thing and betray us? But like I said about the police station.. Maybe we set him there. He'll be alive, as he wants, and he won't be free, as we want."

Den and Sapphire liked this idea. There was enough C4 in the building to send it in a large fireball. "I vote aye, aye captain," Sapphire said, saluting.

 

Maven stood off to the side and sighed. "All the villains in this place seem to be at least a power level stronger than me. And now all the good guys seem to be half a power level tougher or more," she mumbles softly under her breath.

Den and Sapphire liked this idea. There was enough C4 in the building to send it in a large fireball. "I vote aye, aye captain," Sapphire said, saluting.

 

Maven stood off to the side and sighed. "All the villains in this place seem to be at least a power level stronger than me. And now all the good guys seem to be half a power level tougher or more," she mumbles softly under her breath.

 

"All right, Sapphire."

Nightfall looked over at Maven.

"And you? What do you say? You haven't said much, and I would like some participation from you."

"I really hope she isn't still saying things like not having a family or not being strong... it kills me when she does that," he thought.

Maven shrugged innocently, "I guess C4 sounds nice. It's explosive, and kills things," she says distractedly. She starts thinking about her standings, and it's not very positive; 'To strong to get an average colt, not strong enough to get a friend, magically incapacitates my orchestra, what else will go wrong?'

Risho lay flat on the ground and held out his arms to be cuffed. He only needed one of them to come a little closer.

 

 

The demonic insects had doubled in the last hour. The city was now crawling with them in nearly every inch. In some places the bugs were walking on top of each other.

Sapphire shivered and Den was standing there. He took out his hoofcuffs, saying, "I got this one sir." He kicked the button away and approached carefully with the hoofcuffs. He's frowning, having taken the threat on his family very personally.

Nightfall looked outside and saw many bugs. He nudge Jack in his ribs and point outside, whispering to him.

"Oi. We best hurry up and find Butajiri."

He turned back to Den for just a moment.

"Wait, Den. First, the demon must tell us where Butajiri is... And NO LYING."

He then looked back outside.

Risho waited for Den to come close enough to reach, then sprung from the ground and swiped at his neck. "You little waist, die!" Honor, fairness, loyalty, they all meant nothing to him, and he did not plan on acknowleging them.

As Nightfall heard this, he spun around. His mind quickly shifted from bugs to traitors.

"Damn it! Damn you!"

He sprinted up towards the demon, not thinking ahead about his own safety, as he often didn't. Once with in a reasonable distance, he jumped up, pulling his right hoof back, and swinging it forward quickly in an attempt for a mighty blow.

 

(I remember. And i've wanted to use this move for a bit...)

The change between Den and Sapphire was instant; tired eyes to angry eyes. She dropped the cuffs and brought the knife up in a block skidding a little. Then Nightfall crashed into the demon and she had a little trouble seeing. She jumped back, watching.

Risho was flung onto his left side as he came in contact with Nightfall's hoof. He slowly tried to crawl back to his feet, but found moving to be quite difficult. Eventually, he managed to stand up. He had an open gash on the left side of his head that hushed purple blood.

Nightfall got ready to rush again.

"Demon, don't move, or I'll strike again with twice the force!"

Another Nightfall dropped from the ceiling, as if he had just appeared from there.

"And when I saw twice the force, I mean it!"

The two Nightfall slowly started trying to get the demon either cornered, or if that didn't work, working themselves so they would be on either side of him.

Scratch had left Manehattan on a plane headed to Las Pegasus.

Octavinyl checked out of the hospital and got the information of her new apartment complex. She started flying towards the place, but on the way she noticed the city was changed. There was never this much criminal activity here in Manehattan. This had deeply upset Octavinyl as she flew towards her apartment complex.

Risho held his arms out in a defensive posture. "I... I wasn't trying to hurt him! I swear! I was just fooling around!" He said as he began to back away.

 

"I've had enough." Jack said, "Admit your cruelty, and your punishment will be swift."

 

Risho took another step backwards, "No more! I give up!" He turned around and tried to run away.

Both Nightfalls ran after him.

"If you were giving up, you wouldn't be running!"

Large leaps and bounds slowly took their toll on the main Nightfall's side. The scabs started breaking.

"Get back, you coward!"

The second Nightfall made a jump for the demon's legs, while the first Nightfall jumped up in the air, boosted himself with his wings, and tried to tackle the demon.

Cherry Blossom finally made it to the Manehattan police station, but she was signing up only to feel stronger. She didn't like the feeling of being downpowered and she was going to try to change it. "Well, looks like I've made it here. I can't wait to be a stronger pony!" Cherry Blossom thought as she reluctantly flew into the police station. It seemed there weren't a lot of police officers inside.

Jack pointed his hoof at Risho and channeled a bolt of lightning at him from his horn. Risho was struck in the back and is core (heart) went into shock and exploded inside if his chest. He fell forward and rolled to a limp halt.

 

Feeling Risho's death, his brother immediately returned to the Fade to seek a new partner.

The Nightfalls fell into a heap. Nightfall got up, and the other Nightfall was gone. He stood there, blinking, as if he was trying to remember what had just happened. He reached back with his right hoof and felt a small ooze of blood leaking out. He looked lost, dazed, confused.

Sapphire looked at Nightfall a little sadly. He'd changed more than he realized, and Sapphire was still trying to figure it out. For so long, she'd had to protect him, now things had changed. It didn't stall her from throwing her knife hilt-deep into the back of the demon's leg, however.

 

(Yah, Police station's rigged. We're holding Windward in there. Bombs can't be defused; vibration sensitive.)

She then retrieved her knife and looked at it. The blood was purple and sluggish; it wouldn't drip off her knife. She frowned, feeling that it wasn't a good sign and cleaned it on the asphalt, "So, the next demon, when will that be?" She grinned slightly.

Cherry Blossom noticed some noises that sounded like struggle inside. She had no clue what was going on inside, but she just stood in front of the police station gate.

 

Meanwhile Octavinyl decided to move to Cloudsdale, because of the events that had occured to her.

"I can't predict the times, Sapphire... In fact, I feel like I'm losing it. Sapphire, help, please... Maven... Where are they?"

He started spinning around, looking at the bugs. He had forgotten only he and Jack could see them.

"Where did they come from? Where are we...?"

Maven looked at him, "Nightfall, whatever you're seeing, we can't. Trust me, to us, it looks like you're chasing your tail," she turns to Jack, "You're demon makin' him crazy, or just giving him insigt to something the rest of us can't see? Because we really don't need another crazy pony." *Gestures at Sapphire*

 

Sapphire: "He-ey!"
