Den stirred, working slowly inside his own head to wake up. In his brain, he imagined connections that his spirit self was putting together. His legs began twitching, and he groaned.His eyes fluttered and his spirit-vision began to haze over. Come on...

 

(Unless you can give me a way you can control him through a bug that has been taken off his body and crushed by an external force, it would be very hard for me to do as your RP post says.)

The red demon spread its tentacles to grip the floor. "Fear me pathetic mortals! I am from your very worst nightma... Why aren't you scarred?"

 

"It's probably because you aren't intimidating." said Butajiri. He was annoyed that he had to wait for the stronger demons to arrive.

 

"Oh come on! My hands have fracking mouths on them!" The creature roared.

 

"Yes, and I'm sure your nightly ritual is fantastic. Now will you just go kill things?"

 

The monster sprung into the air and lunged at Nightfall. "I will not be made a fool!"

Maven sprang from her position and sliced off the demon's lower half, (And don't you dare tell me this is god modding. Even LOWER class demons have regeneration *Rolleyes*) landing on the other side. She hoped that this way, Nightfall wouldn't be to bothered by the demon. She turned and faced Bukajiri. "To scared to face us by yourself, had to bring the rest of the party," she joked loosely. (Actually, that's one of the reason's I'm confused. Demons are famous for their regeneration powers, and very few of them we've faced so far have actually used this power. Not even Nightfall...)

(These are Yu Yu Hakusho demons, none of them had regeneration powers. o3o Also, I wont call godmodding on anything you do with the weaker demons, they aren't forth it.)

 

The demon fell to the ground dead. Two new demons crawled out of the portal, each with the same upright posture as Risho and Gama. "This isn't about me facing you! The time for that is long past!" Butajiri said. The demons jumped over Butajiri. One clawed at Maven, and the other at Nightfall. Butajiri stood back and observed. These demons were still weak, but the stronger ones were soon to come.

Cherry Blossom ducked for cover immediately when a red demon appeared. She started whimpering with her hooves covering her head and softly saying, "Mommy, daddy, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make you two proud..."

 

She looked up when Maven cut off part of the demon, but Cherry Blossom was speechless.

Nightfall rolled away from the demon, then struggled and got on his hooves.

"And here's the end of it all... Of course. Sapphire isn't here, and Maven is. Well, that makes things awkward. Doesn't the good stallion always have his mare at the end when he dies? It's never some other good looking mare... until now..."

"I." Wits said, wit ha finality. "I am not happy." He drew from all the energy that was surrounding and focused it, using his body as a generator to turn it into a new, and relatively more deadly form. "I am not happy at all." He launched a wave from his body, targetting the energies surrounding and encasing them, eradicating the threats, trying to push back the opponents. From there, he focused on the portal, looking for the off "switch" the vulnerability that would allow him to collapse it. As attacks came his way, he dodged them.

Maven spun her sword into an upward slash and watched as the demons hand came of. Her eyes glowed again and she whispered a song verse into the demon's ear. It had, afterall, thrown all of it's balance into the slash. The demon screeched and held it's head, falling to the ground. She looked over and saw the other demon trapped in... something.

 

 

Den moaned, and his eyes opened slowly. His vision was blurry from the ammount of electricity that had went through his body, but he got shakily to his hooves. He swayed, shivering and now Sapphire's vision was blurred. "Cherry," she said softly, trying to yell. Her body wouldn't really listen to her...

Through all of the loud commotion Cherry Blossom immediately heard somepony call her name. It was the mare Den who had called "Sapphire", but were sharing the same body. She immediately turned to the direction of Sapphires voice and saw them downed onto the ground. They seemed to have been knocked unconscious or just paralyzed, but Cherry Blossom started flying towards them.

The Demons were destroyed along with a few more at the entrance to the portal.

 

A cold chill entered the room. The demons that were attempting to escape seemed to be afraid of something, and backed away from the mouth of the portal.

 

"Well, It seems we have found a true demon this time," said Butajiri.

"My left... saddle bag... medical suplies... get the stimpacks *Couphs* and adminster one... to me," she managed. It took a lot of effort, but she shifted so that her left saddle bag was exposed, "Be... careful. Somepony else... is here . Trying... to use... robotic... mind control..." She groaned.

The sword was the juncture of the portal.

 

"Tell me Butajiri..." he said. "What kind of dishonorable coward is afraid to be hit even once?"

 

As he spoke, he began to weave an entrapment spell in his mind and checked the timelines for the most probable course of actions and what would lead to the best result. He also reached for his gun as carefully as possible.

Nightfall got up.

"Maven, Den, Sapphire, Wits... It has been good to know you..."

He limped over and kissed Sapphire.

"I may not be back... Just know I loved you too..."

He limped as fast as he could to the entrance of the portal. Of course, he only thought jumping in the demon world would close the portal. He had no other plan.

Cherry Blossom frantically searched through the saddlebag on Sapphire's left. After a few seconds she finally found a stimpack and gently administered the needle into Sapphire's right foreleg. Cherry Blossom looked around to be sure of Sapphire's warning.

 

Just then she noticed Nightfall quick;y limping towards the portal, "Captain what are you doing?!"

A powerful gust of cold air burst from the portal. The wall on the far side of the room impacted with the gust of wind and cracked open. A loud cry of rage came from the portal. "I am Seiryu, The Ice Dragon!" A tall, blue skinned, humanoid form stepped from the portal. He had a blue jacket with a golden dragon painted across the front. He curled his right hand into a fist and punched at the far wall. Even though he never touched the wall, a sheet of ice formed on it in the shape of his fist. "I suggest you all come at me at once." he said, "That way the last one of you won't be lonely."

Sapphire felt as if the flood gates to her energy had opened up and she rolled onto her feet. "He's going to jump! Don't do it Nighty!" she sprinted at him, and tackling him. "It's the sword Nightfall! The sword controls the portal," she starts crying, "Don't do this kind of thing! It's stupid and reckless and makes me want to stop baking brownies and sulk!"

 

Maven resumued her defensive stance. "Everytime a word comes out of your mouth Bukajiri, it makes me want to sing a song about an imp during multing."

Nightfall stopped, and looked back and forth from Butajiri to the demon. He spotted Butajiri's sword, and lunged at him.

"Come on, just gotta close this portal and clean up... Gotta save the others, even if it means dying myself..."

"Butajiri, only cowards use weapons and dodge attacks! You aren't a coward, are you?"

Wits unleashed his entrapment spell, going for a quick bind of Butajiri hand, then firing a bullet which he enhanced with an anti-magic aura, using foresight to try and get the best lock.

 

"I've got too break the portal..." he muttered, then shouted at the others; "Get that guy back in the portal! I don't care what you have to do, just do it!"

Cherry Blossom shrieked as she saw another demon come out from the portal. "Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh!" she constantly repeated as she curled herself into a ball position. She saw an iron pipe and she quickly grabbed it to protect herself. Things just couldn't get any worse for her...

Maven nodded and positioned herself infront of the Bukajirir, and infront of the draconocian demon. Her eyes, still glowing, narrowed, and as if her bow remembered her song from before, spectral flames burst into life. She stood silently infront of the dragon.

(Dawn, he isn't a dragon, he's just an ice demon with an overactive imagination and a need to make himself sound more important than he actually is.)

 

"ICE DRAGON!" Seiryu punched in the direction of the bullet, incasing it in Ice and causing it to fall to the ground. He stepped between Butajiri and his attackers. "So you want to go one at a time? I can do that too."

 

Butajiri held the sword tight to his chest as Nightfall jumped on top of him. Wow, is this guy retarded or something? He Placed his left front hoof on Nightfall's chest."Sandari!" A burst of energy shot into Nightfall's chest at point blank. He can't survive that, right?

The bullet's magic field barely shrugged off the ice, and mid-flight Wits infused it with more power, forcing it onwards, getting it to the sword with all his might.

 

"NIGHTFALL!" Wits said. "Don't believe in yourself! BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU! YOUR HORN IS THE HORN THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS! You need to get him back into the portal."

 

((I don't even read the manga, but I couldn't resist. Also, Snailzuki, you're running into god-mod territory here.))

Blackness. Then light. Then ever increasing unbearable pain. Nightfall stood up and staggered back, not noticing anypony but himself, Butajiri, and Sapphire. Everything else was non-existent in his mind. He stumbled towards Sapphire, wondering why his chest hurt, and what the sticky fluid- he looked down. Blood. Everywhere. He was tracking it across the floor as he had stumbled. The pain... Sapphire... His mind collapsed as he fell to his knees, then crumpled on the ground.

That... was Sapphire's very last straw. Den felt it, even though he wasn't in control; his final barrier breaking. Like a chemical change, there was a flash, a big bang, and a heat wave. And then a white unicorn with blue eyes and a blue mane stood where a blue, femal pegasus once did. And she. was. pis*ed. Her horn glowed and Nightfall's chest sealed up. She turned to the dragon and charged up a fireball as big as her head. She shot it.

Butajiri stood up and inspected the sword. It had a small scratch in the hilt, but was otherwise fine. "Even magical bullets cannot destroy the Trial Sword as long as I have energy to protect it!"

 

"Trivial." Seiryu said. He fired a flurry of punches at the fee ball and it actually froze solid. "Ha! Now you see that-" The huge block of ice hit him in the temple and he fell to the ground.
