Putting his sword onto a clip of his belt, and putting the shield on his back, he jumped into flight and tackled Cherry off of the burning demonoid. Tears streaming down his face, he says to Cherry, "Wake up! Please, stop this... This! Stop hurting yourself!"

Rando's clay armor and battle pant managed to reduce the amount of damage he took from the repeated blows. When the flames subsided, his skin was red like smelted metal. Touching him now would be like touching lave. "It's been too long since I've used this technique. Scales of The Inferno!"

Nightfall kept swinging at the demon, hard blow after hard blow. He wished Maven would sing a song or something. As soon as this demon was dead, he could continue on with his work at the office... maybe even hunt down that mare that threw the knife at his chest... He jumped up for another solid blow.

Cherry Blossom fell backwards, again because of Den, but her forelegs were being covered by some black liquid she was drooling out of her mouth. It seemed that they were regenerating the skin on her forelegs, but she immediately got back back up and charged at Rando again. This time, she tried to outflank Rando by going all the way behind him. Den's tears didn't affect her actions as she monstrously howled again and went back to attacking the demon.

Rando caught Nightfall's blade by slapping it between both of his opened palms. Ignoring the pain that came from the lightning, which was excruciating. He tossed the sword aside, possibly sending Nightfall with it if he held on. This gave him little time to counter attack Cherry's assault. So he jumped above her, letter pass beneath him, and landed behind her. "You have caused me pain that I did not wish for." he said to Nightfall, "I will kill you for that."

Maven groaned as she woke up; the battle was still going on. She shakily got to her hooves and put the flute to her lips, playing a song for fortitude.

 

Den could hardly see threw the tears, and angrily shook his head. He walked to Cherry Blossom and tried to drag her off of the molten figure. Sapphire was trying to kick some sense into him, but he was to concerned about Cherry to listen. If you put Den's thoughts on a scale, the Cherry Blossom section would take up 95% of the weight, with .01% his own safety.

Nightfall had held onto the blade, and landed up against a rock. Which hurt him a lot. He got to his hooves, his left side throbbing. Again, he saw the demon and his mind decided to charge. But instead, he took off, flying upwards, again trying the trick where he slammed into the demon. But this time, he held the sword out in front of him.

Cherry Blossom pushed Den away behind a tree and tried to latch onto Rando as she turned around to him. She tired to gouge out his eyes and bite down and constantly chew down on his forehead. Cherry Blossom was targeting for crushing Rando's brain beneath her sharply formed teeth.

Rando grabbed Cherry Blossom's torso with his agonizingly heated hands, ignoring her scratches at his face. She was stronger than he thought. He held her above his head to act as a shield against Nightfall charge. He easily could have dodged, but he preferred to see him hurt her instead.

Nightfall saw this, and tucked away the sword at the last second. He couldn't kill Cherry Blossom. The end. He wouldn't kill her. And it was a cowardly thing to hold her in front of himself...

"This demon is beginning to damage my calm."

Again, he crashed into the demon.

Den was shaking and he stabbed the sword, point down, into the ground. He held his head and cried; Sapphire felt pity and sympathy. "You're not dead, Den. She recognized you! Come on, Den, fight with her! Support her, prove you're her partner in more than just name." He stared at her, and the tears stemmed. His eyes hardened and he picked Sapphire up. She grinned as the sword point began to glow; he had re-merged their spirit-link. He glared at the lava-clad demon, and something popped into his head. He charge the demon and lunged, yelling, "Sapphire Thrust!" The whole sword turned white and shimmery. (This is an attack using their direct spirit-energy in the form of a sword.)

Rando released a barrage of searing flames from his arm into Cherry Blossoms body, then threw her at Nightfall. "A simple but deadly technique." He said to Den, "I already know something similar." He held out his hand and created a similar red blade. "Spirit Sword!" he held it tightly and parried Den's strike.

Again, he crashed into the demon.

Nightfall lay on the ground, half conscious, and not knowing how the others were fairing. All he heard was swords clashing, but it was as if a really loud explosion had just happened close by. He blinked as he got up. He felt blood trickle out of his ears. He charged at the the demon, really slowly.

Den stared coldly into his eyes, "Did you kill that being too? Or is he still useful to you?" He disengaged, jumping back and letting the force of the block drive his opponent of balance. The he lunged again with a downward swing intended to decapacitate him.

(Fighting six characters at once, Nightfall. I can't make him a pushover. He's still not invincible.)

 

The strike hit Randos neck. The paint and clay kept him from being killed, but again he felt pain. "Why?" He asked them all. "Why are you still fighting! What does that accomplish? You know you can't win, yet you continue! Do you wish for death?" He kicked at Dens chest at an attempt to create distance between them.

((OOC: It may be fair, considering it is 6 of us, and one of him. Though he seems to be growing weaker by each attack.))

 

Cherry Blossom got off of the ground and started walking back towards Rando again. A rib was sticking out of her torso, but she wasn't alarmed by it. She was void of fear and pain as she kept moving towards her target. Cherry Blossom ripped out the rib and black liquid dripped out of her torso. The rib bone was also colored black as she was about to jam it into Rando's chest.

Nightfall slowly got closer and closer. He knew he would have to make this blow count. If it didn't, he and the others might die. He had to get the demon either running or dead. And he had to do it now. He lifted the sword up and aimed for the neck, like Den had just done.

Though the sword was too dull to pierce Randos defense, it carried with it more strength than he had expected. Rando was unable to keep his balance and was brought down for the first time, crashing into a tree. The look of surprise on his face told exactly how he felt as he stood back up. "That was very impressive. I apologize for underestimating you all."

 

"Nightfall, step back!" Jack commanded, "Now!"

Den flew backwards, forelegs extend to from his side, and hit a tree a few yards away. He slid down it onto his hooves and saw Cherry rip a rib out of her chest, and use it as a shank. He also noticed that he'd chipped some of the armor off of the pony. Maven's fortitude song (that everypony skipped over reading) strengthened him a little and steadied his swaying. He cautiously approached, looking for an opening.

Nightfall stepped back, slowly. His ears were still ringing, and there was extreme pain everywhere. He slowly made his way over to Maven. Her song made him a bit stronger, and he was glad she wasn't being so quiet. Otherwise, he would have felt awful. He wondered what Jack had planned.

Cherry Blossom rushed to Rando and stabbed her rib into his chest. With all her strength, she tried to pierce the clay armor and puncture an organ. She pushed the rib with both of her forelegs while letting out a constant monstrous growl at the same time.

(I understand that cherry is a wild animal right now, but jack said to stay back for a reason, and she may very well have just killed herself by getting near Rando, unless she can heal really really fast.)

 

Rando dropped his hands to his side as she attacked. His eyes became bright white lights with no expression but rage. He let out the same scream that he had during his first energy release, but this time it was as loud as thunder. The energy he had kept locked away in his body was released in an explosion of demonic power. Any nearby trees were instantly incinerated. After the Red aura and smoke cleared, Rando appeared in an enormous crater. He now had horns sticking out from his temples. "Now you have seen it." he said, "Power absolute."

Cherry Blossom ignored what he said continued to try to stick her own sharp rib into his lungs. She had no intention of backing down and was going to do everything in her power to eliminate him. The fog around her became thicker as the aura began eating through her black coat. Her red eyes didn't move away from its target and was shining with more red.

Rando no longer found enjoyment from Cherry Blossoms savagery. He shifted to his spectral form just long enough to get away from her. When he reappeared, he had a small green ball in his hand. "I hate to end this fight so quickly, but it's really time that you died." He held the ball between both of his hands and started to charge it, making it expand in size.

 

(You probably shouldn't charge at him strait on any more.)

Cherry Blossom unfolded her wings and started flying hight into the air. She flew at him from mid-air and held the boken rib in an act of a missile. As she flew at him with all her speed, a ghostly light flew all around her as a purple light was trailed behind her. A ghostly deathboom, who knew?...
