Speedy was trying as hard as she could, but she just couldn't hold them off. She noticed the dynamite and flew over, catching it right before it hit the ground. ((Mission: Impossible style!)) She landed on her back, but quickly got up and looked outside the door.

"Hey! Hey, you! I believe this is yours!"

She threw it back outside in the middle of Sunburn's group.

 

Meanwhile, Nightfall was extremely lost and confused. He disengaged his power form and walked over to Wits.

"So, this guy is the embodiment of the seven sins? This world gets stranger and stranger every day..."

He looked over at K. He made a clone of himself and set it up on the top of the entrance to the mine.

Wits' kick met the back of his behind and bounced off, but Den looked mortified, "You want me to kiss him AGAIN? N-n-no! Cherry Blossom is right there!" He blushed, hard, and saw the look Wits was giving him. "Ugg! Fine! If we here about this back in the office, I promise I will punch you harder than I punched Nightfall!" Even so, he creeped slowly towards the other pony, hesitating.

"Keep him distracted. Sapphire, charge," Wits whispered in his ear, then slinked over to Nightfall. "Charge your sword. We're going to go for a single flurry of blows while Lust is preoccupied." Sapphire and Den could share information, so he wouldn't have to elaborate on his plan to her. He began charging a spell with lots of energy, making it a lightning charge on her.

Sunburn quickly slapped his wrist delaying the explosion by a couple of seconds-- just enough time to leap up and kick the dynamite, sending it flying back at the warehouse. It exploded just outside the door, damaging it further.

 

Several police officers rushed up beside Speedy, 5 in all. They looked concerned by grim and ready, and began firing their pistols, which made an effective suppressive fire net, limiting the amount of dodging space the attacking ponies have.

Den relayed the order to Sapphire while standing in front of Lust,"So, I uh, I guess you liked last time?" He looked very embarrassed, blushing bright red, with his wings fluttering nervously.

 

Sapphire thought about, and decided on a laser. She began charging energy into a point above her horn, angling herself so she wouldn't hit Den.

The blast knocked Speedy back. She blinked, noticing the officers there. She got up. There were a few minor cuts and bruises, but nothing too much. She leaped up and began divebombing the attacking ponies, using gunfire as her "bombs."

Sunburn smiled, and at once all of the ponies melted away suddenly retreating, except for Sunburn. he dodged one of Speedy's "divebombs", and went for a grapple,effectively using her as a shield and trying to get a good lock on her.

"Come now," he said. "Let's play nice here."

He rubbed his head with his free forehoof. He glared at Wits.

 

"You first! Go away!"

She stopped dive bombing them, and began shooting at the ponies who were running from her. However, she didn't notice she was closer to Sunburn than she thought...

Wits gave a lighthearted chuckle and prepared for the snap. "Right when Lust goes in for the kiss," he muttered.

Sunburn went in for the grab and pinned her hooves behind her, preventing her from firing anymore. He pulled out a pistol as a sidearm, aiming it at Speedy, which kept the cops standing ready from firing. He gave a menacing grimace and when he was at a safe distance, bolted with Speedy in tow.

 

"Step one," he said, as mob member rejoined and secured her tightly.

 

"Check."

"Do you think I'm stupid?" Lust asked. "Because I can hear every word that you're saying. The time for kisses is over. That's why I'm wearing the mask." He jumped backwards and landed a few feet from the entrance of the cave. "Even I won't accept that offer from the dead." He turned and ran into the mine, leaving a trail of rose pedals behind him.

"HORAY, I mean, ehem, uh, that's really to bad. I was looking forward too that." Den looked extremely relieved that he wouldn't have to kiss a colt infront of his boss, co-workers, marefriend, and soul fragment; he'd never hear the end of it. Then Sapphire discharged her energy and singed his nose tip, "De-en! That's not how you treat a colt!" She walked up to the mine entrance, "Um, excuse me, Mr. Lust? I would like to apologize for Den being a heartless foal."

Wits grunted. "Only way forwards is onward." He pulled out his radio and gave same quick orders in a low voice, and then walked into the mine, illuminating his horn and looking for traps and whatnot.

 

"This could be bad..." he muttered. The odds of a character as lively as Lust trying something could only end badly.

"I'll leave my soul cone up there," he indicated to the top of the mine's entrance, "in case anypony comes. Or in case we need to find a fast way out."

 

Speedy couldn't get out of the grip of her captors, but she struggled, wriggling and trying to hit others with her hooves. She wasn't thinking about hurting herself or ruining her look then, as she might have been earlier.

"Let me go! Let me go!!"

 

((That was the purpose; get Speedy captured. I thought it might lead at least most of Sunburn's men away from the station.))

Lust ran out of rose pedals at a very convenient spot. He was at an intersection in the mine, a large, hollow cave where five tunnels connected. Karasu had already lit this room with torches a few hours earlier. He sat down and waited for them to follow.

I'll I need are some basic things, and you can go free as the wind. You are called Speedy, are you not? And what are doing, brownnosing with the police? That's downright cowardly, y'know."

And I know every criminal in this town. You used to work for one of my bosses. And you are going to help for a very nice paycheck." He grinned. "I know how it works. Try and clean up you act, but are never free of greed. And I hear you like guns. Let me tell about my guns..."

She had stopped when he had mentioned she had worked for one of his bosses. She didn't remember, but she may have seen a pony like this one before.

"Your guns... You cannot possible mean muscles."

She laughed at that prospect.

"I've found somepony already."

She blushed a bit, still laughing, although it had turned to a nervous laugh.

"Really?" Sunburn said. "In honesty, I meant munitions. But blackmail works just as well as bribery. So you are going to help us, or you little friend is going to suffer very dire consequences. And by dire consequences, I mean a quick grave. Save your petty threats. You are going to help us, or both of you are going to die."

Maven to a breathing break and followed the other ponies, including Den and Sapphire, into the mine. Following the rose petals, they came across the opening and awaited orders.

Karasu patiently waited for them all to enter. He was clearly more patient than the previous two personalities. "I assume that since my previous two forms were defeated because they underestimated you, you assume I will do the same." He brushed away any stray hairs that were in his eyes. "I also assume that you are well aware of what my touch can do."

Den paled, "Enlighten me, what exactly can your touch do?" he was suddenly very very afraid, I'm not going to become some sort of g** s** slave, am I? Oh Celestia, please, no. Nonononon! Just about anything, ANYTHING, other than that. Especially not with this pony, he creeped him out too much.

Karasu pulled another rose from his mane. Using his left front hoof he brushed the pedals, then tossed it into the air. Within moments, the airborne flower exploded, letting chafed shreds of rose pedals lazily fall to the ground. "My touch may bring fear and pain, but it can also bring pleasure."

"Oh god, you ARE going to turn me into a s** slave!" He turned to leave and Sapphire tripped him.

 

"Oh no you don't!"

 

"I signed on to take physical punches, not to become inslaved by a colt who likes my body!"

 

"You are an officer Den!"

 

"Someponies really don't know when the other colt is joking."

Wits smacked Den upside the head. "Den, you are a police officer. We are not going sacrifice you to be a sex slave to some psychotic pony. I would die before I let that happen. Just stay calm and get ready to fight. He's Lust. He can't stay still for long. Eventually, he's going to have to move."

"... If he touches my manly-hood, and I become a slave of body, I would like you to know I blame you personally," he fought the urge to slap Wits back, especially since he wasn't actually going for the door. Wits seemed to be forgetting about Cherry and Patches, both of whom he cared about very deeply, both of which were right here.
