She smiles, blushing. She tilts his face up so he can see her smile, and then kisses him intensely. She enjoyed every moment of the kiss, hoping he felt the same. Then she broke, gasping. "That... That was better than brownies," she breathlessly exclaimed, happy.

Nightfall was shocked by the intense kiss. He kissed her back, but still couldn't really believe it. When she broke, his eyes were wide. He looked around, blinking, trying to make sure it was reality. He looked back at her. If it wasn't...

"That... that was..."

His cheeks were still deep red, but he had enjoyed the kisses.

Lapis stared incredulously at the beast. "Your master is dead. But don't worry. He left me with your final order. Die!" he proclaimed firing more bolts. He had no idea how he'd take down the shielding, but hopeful the stupid thing would accidentally drop it's guard. The way it kept hitting it's head against the could work in his favor. If he timed his attacks to the slamming, the monster would be nothing more than a scorched pile of body parts in no time. Afterwards, he'd make his way to the doctor's lab and finish what he'd planned on.

The creature tred to jump away from Lapis' attack, but he was hit in the leg that had once belonged to Imajin. His hoof flew off, leaving only half of the leg intact. The leg grew back into the shape of an axe.

Nightfall looked down. He lifted her head up, and hugged her gently, but firmly.

"I know you love me, Sapphire... And I love you, too..."

He closed his eyes and laid his head down on hers.

"I don't know why I didn't say it earlier... But I really do love you, Sapphire. I really do..."

He too was happy.

She hugged him back fiercely and protectively. "Please don't leave me," she says softly, almost tiredly, "I'm not sure if I could continue. I think, without you... I think I would be... Insane," she murmurs, dropping of at the end. She seemed a little sad, as if she was over thinking it.

Nightfall thought about this. It meant that he might have to resign his title as captain of the police force. He wondered what would happen then. But Sapphire's heartbeat brought him back to reality. No, he couldn't betray Sapphire. As happy as she was normally, betraying her would only kill her.

Lapis backed up, increasing his shield's level. The ax reminded him of something, but he pushed it from his thoughts. All that mattered now was completion of his goals. "How about we make this easy? Lay down on the ground and I'll eradicate you. Sounds good, right?" he said, wishing to make this quick. He was a very busy stallion. He launched two more bolts at his foe.

 

((OOC: I guess I can leave Lapis in limbo while I wait for Snail. I'm not a part of the others' things right now, so no problem.))

She sighed contently, leaning into him. Then she layed down next to him, closing her eyes. Her breathing slowed and light hit her pelt, following the rise and fall of her chest beautifully. Her breathing stabilized to a steady pace; she was beginning to fall asleep.

Its six o'clock, They have on hour. Wind thought, writing a couple words on a piece of paper, Sticking it to the body of the guard from the bank. He picked the body up and flew out the window towards the Equestria State Building. (I know, I know. It was the best I could come up with.) Once he had arrived downtown, Wind flew towards the building towering over all the rest.

Nightfall lay down next to her. He closed his own eyes, and hugged her as his breathing became more and more steady. He drifted into the dreamworld... His dreams started off a bit horrible, but got better and better. His dreams put him in favorable positions...

Den's brother came in and saw. His eyes widenend and he wrote a quick note explaining that he had to go to work, and then left, presumably to go to work.

When Sapphire stirred, Nightfall was awoken. He himself stirred. When he got up, he stood up, blinking. He wondered what that piece of paper on the table was, since both Sapphire and he were asleep. He then remembered Den's older brother. He read the piece of paper, but only really caught on that he had gone to work.

Sapphire came back with some edible food, "Let's go see what there is to see at the station, shall we? I wonder if they'll have brownies... Oooh, maybe they'll have dohnuts. And coffee. And other nice ponies. And maybe we'll watch movies!" She ggiggled and started prancing.

But it seemed Sapphire's heart was set on going to the station. Nightfall looked around his uniform for the keys to the station, and started walking out of the door after he had found them.

Nightfall was tired, and it was showing. He didn't have too much of a tolerance for anything he considered unimportant, or silly. They got close to the station before Nightfall realized that he was maybe being to insensitive.

She grinned, "Don't worry, I blame it on your blood-loss," she says, continuing to nibble on the brownies. She sees a large stack of letters on the desk and did the AOL "You Got Mail," voice impression. Then she skips in, noticing echos. "Woah, this place is like, empty! ECHO!" and it actually echo'd. "And reports are pooring in about some ponies being killed..."

Lapis retched with disgust. The horrible thing had thanked him. It completely drained all the fun out of the kill. "No matter, I have things to tend to." he said to no one in particular. Lapis was beginning to wonder how all these weird things kept happening around here, yet no one freaked out. And the police never seemed to show up either. There was clearly something very wrong going on here. He shook his head violently. He was starting to fade into himself again. Block B of the unused parking garage at twenty-first street was very easy to get to. Not seeing any form of defense, Lapis approached the terminal and typed in 'recreation'. He hoped the doctor hadn't set him up.

He sounded nervous, confused, angry, shocked, and scared.

"Sapphire... We have a situation."

He blinked a bit... he felt like this was taking him down... he couldn't faint here, now, but he was...

"Sapphire... they've all resigned... almost all of them..."

His knees buckled under him as the tunnel appeared. He felt like... worse than before. A physical chill had come over him.

At first she didn't understand, "They... resigned? You mean all of them just... quit? B-b-but Den says crime rates are already up! We NEED them! I... I d-don't feel to good..." She rushes off to the girls bathroom and retches. When she came out, she had become he, and Den. Was. Furious. "All of them? Fine, we don't need quiters. Lets see if Celestia can spare some royal guards," he spits a small bit of blood at the doorway, "Spineless, honorless, courageless fillies," he mutters angrily.

A deep and masculine, yet mechanical voice spoke from the terminal. "Oh, I told the doctor to remember the new password was taboo! It doesn't matter. He kept on using recreation as the password as if he had never changed it!" The voice's tone changed. "Hello new user. I am this terminal's virtual personality. I would tell you my name, but my manufacturers never loved me enough to give me one. So sad."

Nightfall had found a way to repress all the horror he had seen, but it was coming up as events turned for the worse. His pupils had almost disappeared. He looked pitiful and like he was on the edge. He tried standing up several times, but kept collapsing.

"Wait... Get me to Celestia if you can... I'm..."
