Sapphire began to smoke, "As soon as I'm done with him," she says, gesturing to the dragon, "I'm coming for you," she said in a low, menacing voice. Then she turned back to the dragon angling herself so that he was between her and the portal and shot a lazer at him.

(Sorry but its hard to keep track of four attackers)

 

Butajiri stood up and inspected the sword. It had a small scratch in the hilt, but was otherwise fine. "Even magical bullets cannot destroy the Trial Sword as long as I have energy to protect it!"

 

"Trivial." Seiryu said. He fired a flurry of punches at the fee ball and it actually froze solid. "Ha! Now you see that-" The huge block of ice hit him in the temple and he fell to the ground.

 

Nightfall still stumbled a bit, and he found breathing was hard. He soon breathed in deeply, and saw Sapphire in pony form for (technically) the second time.

"Sapphire..." He gasped. "Sapphire... Thanks..." He felt his chest, noticing the hole was gone. He stumbled of to a corner to try to recuperate.

 

((OOC: I'm not out of this, just giving Snailzuki time to see who is attacking him.))

"Look closer!" said Wits, then waited 'til Butajiri looked at it again. The bullet, charged up with latent energies, including those of the demon who had tried to freeze it, exploded. This was bad. The demons were still comoing through, and he needed to lock down the guys power. Wait...

 

He struck out at his aura, trying to lock down his power enough to harm the blade.

Butajiri systematically blocked and dodged Wit's assault. He was only hit with a few grazing strikes and from that he easily recovered. He held the Banshee Shriek in front of himself and smiled, "A valiant effort, all of you. It is unfortunate that you aren't strong enough!"

 

Seiryu stumbled to his feet only to be hit by Sapphires laser. He was enveloped in a cloud of smoke. When it cleared, nothing was left.

"GRAH!" Wits said. "What are you, a bucking god? No, you don't have the power to dodge EVERY SINGLE ATTACK! You are cheating, or some other nonsense!" He was livid with anger, and started to walk towards Butajiri. "You have no honor, sir! You are coward, feckless, incapable of even the simplest bits of respect towards anyone at ANY time! May your ancestors be devoured by manticores!" And with that, he jumped on top of Butajiri, simulatenously wrestling him and shutting down his aura with magic.

 

"I REALLY HATE YOU RIGHT NOW."

Sapphire's eyes sparked as she turned her attention from the vaporised dragon to the imp, "You hurt Nightfall, you are the reason Den is locked away deap inside me, and now, you are going to pay for it." Her horn glowed again and, sparks came up through the floor, from the generator she knew was underneath them. She gathered the energy and the lights flashed as she shot it at Butajiri. (It's semi-guided, it would curve in around Wit.)

[Cherry Blossom 864]

Cherry Blossom dropped the iron pipe and slowly flew over to the dragon. She landed right in front of him and her heart was beating in quick succession. "Um... E-Excuse me Mr. Dragon, but would you be so kind to convince your friend for you and him to go back in the portal?" she requested in a soft, but trembling tone.

(The only reason he's so fast is because the Banshee shriek makes him stronger.)

 

Butajiri tried to buck Wits off of his back. "I am not a god, I am a Legend!" He cried, "Get off!" Sapphire's blast struck him in the leg, he yelped in pain and the force of the attack separated him from Wits. "You hurt me!" He cried. After a moment of thought he spoke again, "Wait a second... you hurt me! That shouldn't be possible!" He looked down at his leg and saw an orange streak of paint.

 

"The Make-up of Thin Skin." Gama said. He was standing with Jack on the opposite side of the room. "I may be fast, but you must be very slow not to have noticed me."

Nightfall was just watching. He was shocked to hear Gama. He had thought he had killed Gama with his neck shot. He stood up and slowly walked over to Gama, not sure what to do when he got there. He just knew Gama should be dead...

"Gama... I killed you... What..? How..? You..."

Sapphire advanced on him, snorting, "My back knows your leg's pain. But I feel no pity." Her horn flashed and a cloud of miniture stiluettes apeered behind her. Her horn flashed again and she sent them directly for the line of paint on his leg. It may or may not be deadly, but it was going to be painful. She had all of the energy of a lifetime, and she wasn'tr affiad to waste it.

"I've seen stranger things," said Wits. He reared back his head and smashed into Butajiri's, then did so again. "But very soon, you won't." He pulled out his gun and fired at the blade, four times. "This is the end for you and your illk in this world, motherbuckers."

Cherry Blossom's eyes widened as the dragon was vaporized in front of her. There could be nothing else she could do, but try to convince Butajiri to surrender. She flew over to him instead and spoke in the same way she did to the dragon, "Excuse me sir, but is it okay if you would go back inside that portal thing and just make the portal go away?"

"Yes, it looks like you rubbed off on Gama." said Jack, "He dies the way you usually live, half assed."

 

"We will speak later," Gama said.

 

Butajiri was hit by Sapphire and put into agonizing pain. He was no longer able to protect his sword, and it shattered when impacted by Wit's bullets.

 

The portal disappeared the moment that The Banshee Shriek was destroyed.

Wits collapsed in exhaustion. "Can... can somone else take of this? I'm... kind of tired..."

 

With that, he promptly fainted, totally exhausted. it was sort of a habit. He fainted a lot, because he had a lot of energy, but not terribly great amounts of strength at times.

Nightfall stood there. Gama was still alive. Sapphire had her own body. The portal was down. Somepony who knew a lot about magic had fainted. And the newest recruit seemed to be getting a bit over her shyness. His mind couldn't keep up. It stopped and stayed at the part about Sapphire. He turned and looked at her, just sort of staring bluntly.

Sapphire took out a pair of hand cuffs magicaly, and cuffed him roughly and tightly, "You are under arrest for the assualt of police officers, disturbing the public, attempting world domination, being a general nuisance, plotting the death of a police officer, and a number of other things, including royally pis*ing me off. You have no rights whatsoever as you are not a citzen of equestria. You are lucky I don't kill you where you stand." She magicaly bent some of the nearby benches and tables into a cage and fused them to the flor around Butajiri. She connected them to the Asylum's electricity, making it electrified. She snorted, and sat down as her vision blurred. It took her a moment to relize she was crying. And then, in a flash of light that wasn't very bright, Den apeered, sprawled on the floor.

"Hey Dimwit, you have a case to close." Jack said to Nightfall.

 

The Banshee Shriek turned into a splintered wooden handle. Butajiri was wailing on the ground in pain. "This can't happen! You were supposed to be lower class! I shouldn't have lost to a couple of ponies! How are you so strong?"

Cherry Blossom flew over to Maven as soon as it was all over. "Did you see me out there? I was so assertive today!" she said reluctantly as she smiled. It seemed that she was over excited in what seemed like a major accomplishment to her, but at least it was what she chose to believe.

Maven smiled faintly and patted her on the back, "One small step for ponies, one giant leap for pony kind," she mumbled. Then she dropped her hoof, "Oh, Nightfall, that case isn't the only thing you have to close." She walked up to the charred remains of her cello, "You owe me a new cello too."

Nightfall sighed.

"Yeah, I'm gonna get on that, Jack."

He looked at Maven.

"And I suppose it will have to be fast? Was this... Was this Delphina's? If so, I owe her great apologies. And if not, I owe you great apologies."

Nightfall remembered he didn't have his saddlebag, so he didn't have with him the papers to close out the case. Still, he walked over to Sapphire.

"Hey... Sapphire... Are you ok?"

"Procedure 1- asses damage and make sure everypony is ok..."

(I guess Sapphire didn't change into Den) She groaned, "Fine. I'm fine. Just tired. Are you fine? Do you need a brownie? How's you're stomache?" She was concerned, and got to her hooves. She flung herself at him, hugging him, "I... I can't feel him, Nighty," she whispered sadly, "He's... gone. I felt him just... leave." Then she nodded over at the cage, "Can I be a cop now?"

 

In a park a few minutes of walking away, a bright flash apeered, and a blue pegasus in police ponie's clothes collapsed. He groaned and looked at his hooves. What happened? One moment, Sapphire was breaking through my body, the next... here? What the heck... He looked around, The park near my house. Should I go home, or report?

"Wait... Isn't the police station still rigged with explosives? I-I mean what are we going to do without a headquarters?" Cherry Blossom asked out of curiousity as she was about to kick the floor again, but this time she stopped herself from doing so. It seemed irregular for a police force to operate without a base.

(I guess Sapphire didn't change into Den) She groaned, "Fine. I'm fine. Just tired. Are you fine? Do you need a brownie? How's you're stomache?" She was concerned, and got to her hooves. Her hug made him feel better and warm.

"Thanks, Sapphire... My stomach is fine, by the way. Who stitched it up? They did a great job.."

"That's my handiwork. But Cherry Blossom helped," she said happily. "As for Den... I'm not really sure what happend to him, but he's not... here," she said, pointing at herself. She tapped her chest and looked down. A few tears left her eyes, and then she blinked. She could feel him; he was getting... closer? And was carrying something...

 

Meanwhile

 

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 100 BITS! IT'S A CELLO!" Den slammed his hoof into the ground. The shop keeper was unimpressed, "100 bits means 100 bits." He snorted "I'll not pay a penny over 60." "75?" "Deal." They shook and Den dumped his savings on the counter. Then he hooved it over to the Asylum. I better get some re-enbursment. I don't think my appartment costs that much!"

Cherry Blossom smiled at Sapphire's remark. "I-I'll be going to the police station, that is if nopony minds." Cherry Blossom said to everypony as she waited for a few seconds then flew out the door. "I might as well head to the police station and see what I can do about the explosives," she thought as she flew out of the asylum and then to down the street.
