Everfree Recap:

1. Yeah, the Liege and Zecora are seperate from Everfree. He used (and abused) House Everfree to further his own gains. Zecora is sort of like Sauruman from Lord of the Rings, serving a higher (evil) power while plotting to advance his own position.

2. In the Astral plane (as I have it anyways), there are a large number of powerful magical beings that are constantly competing for supremacy. They routinely absorb/consume the souls of ponies who pass into the afterlife, destroying the pony's essence/identity in the process.

3. The Liege is one of those entities, but he has gone rogue.

4. His intention in Equestria is to collect enough souls so that he can trigger a 'Consolidation'.

5. The 'Consolidation' would combine the neccesary amount of souls into a singular being, with the Liege in control.

6. This created being would be purposed towards ending the cycle of conflict that goes on in the Astral Plane by conquering the other competitors.

7. The Everfree Forest is a conduit through which the souls of every pony in Equestria who dies is stolen.

8. As the Forest grows, more souls can be collected, as well as more powerful souls. (Such as Dragons, Minotaurs, etc.) Which would speed up the process.

9. There is a central point at which the souls are collected: The Well of Those Passed. These souls produce magical energy as a byproduct of their existence, which the Liege uses to power his army's weapons and strengthen his servants.

10. 'Legion' is a powerful but newborn entity created by a small scale 'Consolidation'. Though it took thousands of Souls to make it, the true Consolidation would likely number close to a hundred thousand. (Estimate.)

Rarity is the one who ordered it in the first place, the 03 director was the one who gave the command, and Silverpoint's OC, Swift Nimbus, was the one who had an active role in it.

 

Rarity has enough intelligence that says how powerful my OC's magic is. Thanks to to a small conversation with Dusk(Nightfall), she found that she can have my OC give Dusk's weapon her power. Not only that, she also knows that she formerly had a high status in House Moon and Star, so that means more information to sell to the highest bidder!

Gah, so want to get the Six Gifted out in the field and get the Composer's plans rolling but I need to wait for everyone to get back together and get the Composer's songs written.

Sorry about that but at the same time we all know what will happen. Even before the Six Gifted I made it very clear that there would be two outcomes... either blood and chaos with the Houses in ruins or the ponies of Equestria get their heads on straight and bring harmony back into the land.

 

Unless the Elements of Harmony come back together and are reawakened there will be no winners.

On Stardream I will try to tone it down, haven't really played her yet so I need to get the right setup for her.

I realise this, and I'll probably settle into it soon. There is one thing I'm wondering though; will the Guardians actually use force if necessary or are they mostly passive? This could actually become very interesting if the Guardians were willing to use more questionable methods as opposed to being your stereotypical lawful good paladin types.

They would be willing to use force but only if they can get help as they aren't large enough to take on lets say one of the Houses or the Cult. They also wont be perfect, they do stand for what is right but as they say desperate times may call for desperate measures.

This of course counts using the services that changlings can provide, despite what they are and what they have been known to do. Though arguably they wouldn't be much of a fighting force. Dragons could also be a possible means of help as well as any other groups that do not follow any of the Houses or the Cult, even stray griffins and zebra.

But aren't changelings like anathema to Harmony? And dragons aren't exactly the type to go to the Ponyville Weekly Friendship Sing Along either.

 

For some reason I imagine them as being a bit like a cross between the Blades from Elder Scrolls and a religious order in organisation. Basically I imagine them as wanderers who are constantly recruiting to build up a group of elite operatives who can spread the word and convert more ponies to their cause due to being founded ages ago and after years of peace they've been largely forgotten so need more members to make them effective again.

No changlings are not anathema to harmony, they are simply a race that freed on love and are willing to take the place of ponies' loved ones to do so. They are scavangers of sort, even predators and if anything a harmonious society is the best feeding ground as such how things have gone down hill are making things worst for the changlings.

 

On that second part that is actually an interesting idea, one I may use if you allow. They are an organized force though, with a strong leadership if perhaps having a young mare inexperienced with guiding others at the helm... though she does have advisers that are older and wiser that help, one especially who had Celestia as a mentor.
