Hiya, welcome to the board!

 

I took a look at your artwork, and while it's kinda rough around the edges, I think it has promise. Perhaps the best thing you could do is investigate using layers and the magic wand tool. I also recommend drawing at a higher resolution - that way lines will be much smoother when you resize it back.
