private Life in Canterlot

Pale stopped at a large spiraling bookcase. She levetated one of the books out of her bag, the purple magic making the cover appear darker then it actually was. She looked up, the book floating along after her gaze, and found the spot it belonged in. She slightly moved the other books aside and put her own away. It fit inbetween the other books perfectly, like putting the last peice of a puzzle in it's proper spot. Pale let her magic fall upon a shelf with a few missing books; some were falling into each other because of the empty space. She looked over at Iron. "So, which books are you looking for?" She asked while the books reorganized themselves.

Pale smiled again and glanced at the books she was fixing. The purple glow faded from them and they settled, sitting tall and organized, despite a few missing. She walked around the spiraling tower of shelves, reading the titles. "Ah, here we are. Game of Throughs..second book.." She plucked the book off the shelf with her magic and levetated it near Iron. "This one?"

Pale gave him a closed-eye smile. "I've been thinking about it. A few other ponies have suggested it to me, though I haven't gotten around to it yet." She opened her eyes again and blinked at him. "..Are you alright? You seem tense." She raised a hoof off the ground a few inches and tilted her head slightly.

Pale frowned. "You don't seem fine." She set her hoof back on the ground and sighed. "If you're sure though. Are there any other books you're looking for?" She asked, gazing around the massive shelves, still keeping her eye on him incase he tensed up again.

Pale looked down, thinking. "Edgar Stallion Poe." She mumbled to herself, shaking her head. "Um..let's see." She swatted her tail to him, a motion to get him to follow. She walked along beside the bookshelves to the poetry section. She stopped at the edge of the circle of bookcases, then looked up at him. She noticed the way his eyes glistened and how his face was that he was lonely; probably missing somepony back where he'd come from. Pale sighed quietly and turned around, taking a few steps in the direction the novels were in. "I'll leave you to it."

Pale looked at him and half smiled. "No problem. Is there anything else you're looking for?" She asked while picking a few books up with her magic. She stacked them into a neat pile. A book fell from a shelf nearby and she levitated it towards her; she hadn't seent his book before. She studied the cover; no title. She frowned and drew her attention back to Iron. "Sorry. Um..books, right. Anything else?"

Pale thought for a moment. "The lounge is currently in use by a poetry class...you can use my office, if you wish." She lead him down the main hallway, then through a few isles of bookshelves, and opened the door at the end. A quaint little room; a big desk, neatly organized, books scattered neatly throughout the room. A big plush chair sat behind the desk, and it was lit to her liking. Dark, but enough light to see everything in the room. "You may use it as often as you like, I don't use it often."

'aaand done!' Dawdraw spoke out. Claudia looked at the drawing he made. 'Great work, Dawdraw!' Claudia complimented. As always, blushing, Dawdraw responded: 't-thanks.. Claudia..' 'Don't you think so too Lemna?' Claudia asked her friend cheerfuly, but Lemna wasn't thinking about drawings. 'Hmm... yeah.. this could definitely use this new spell I've been working on..' Lemna mumbled while tasting and tinkering the lemonade. Claudia couldn't help but overhear the waitress about her job. 'Waitress!' She called out. 'Could I ask you a question?... What do you think of your job?'.

AcroSplash trotted through the streets of Canterlot, staring and taking everything in. She never knew when her parents would decide to leave, so she had to make sure she remembered every nook and cranny. "Wow," she breathed when she caught a glimpse of the Canterlot Castle. She'd never been there before but the older circus ponies had. Her mom had told her that they had once had the chance to perform for Princess Celestia herself!

She gave a little 'squee' as she thought about how she would flip through the air, and make Princess Celestia and maybe even Princess Luna, smile.

Pale giggled and waved her tail at him. "No problem." She used her magic to shut the door and wandered back to the front of the library, helping out ponies as needed. Her eyes kept going back to the book with no title that was under the desk; she hadn't seen it before, and she knew almost every book in the library. She sighed and starting stacking the returned books into stacks depending on genre.

~Time skipping a few hours ahead~

Pale waved goodbye to the last pony in the library before shutting and locking the doors. She sighed and hung her head, ready to fall asleep. She walked to her office and knocked on the door, waiting for Iron's response.

Spring Breeze was a bit confused. Did she say anything wrong?

She looked over at Shooting Star. He seemed to ask the waitress something, but before she could answer, somepony called her.

After some hesitating, Spring decided to go over to them. "I'm sorry, are you allright? I was afraid I said or did something to startle you."

(OOC: Sorry, I didn't feel like it was my turn, but it seemed to die out. Or did I miss anything?)

((OOC: Yeah, it seems like the players are separated in different groups now. I'm sure you didn't miss anything, but it got a little bit confusing. At least for me... ô-õ))

Shooting Star quickly turned back to Spring Breeze when he noticed her approach. "No no no, everything's fine, really!" He laughed nervously, thinking of what to do. He barely knew where the kitchen was, and he didn't even know if there was somepony else working there. Star was starting to regret the help he'd offered. He sighed nervously once more. "I, uh... I'll go get your drink now." He trotted slowly towards the room he believed to be the kitchen, staring at the waitress with a helpless look on his face.

//Gotta keep up guys. It's a popular rp, a lot of first-time rpers joined.//

Pale opened the door quietly. "Hello. I regret to inform you that I must close the library, and I must escort you out." She smirked at him. "Do you have anywhere to stay while you're in Canterlot?"

Pale laughed quietly. "You can stay with me if you want to. Or you can make other arrangements." She started turning the section lights off with her magic. "I have a few guest rooms, and no guests. So you may come with me, if you wish. Either way, I have to kick you out of here now." She smiled.

Pale smiled and nodded. "Alright. Come on then." She turned and shut all the blinds as she walked, locking the escape doors and shutting off any remaining lights. She led Iron out of the library and locked the huge main doors, then turned back to him. "I live a few blocks down."

"It's no trouble. It'll be nice to have company." Pale lead him down the road, a few blocks down, like she said, and stopped at the edge of her property. Red roses were growing everywhere, as well as sprawling plants with no flowers at all. She walked down the little smoothstone path and unlocked the door, then let Iron go in before she did.

Pale watched his reaction as he looked around. She half smiled to herself, then giggled quietly as he hit his head. "Are you alright?" She asked, walking up beside him. She guided him to one of the living room chairs and made him sit down. "Would you like some tea?"

Pale smiled up at him. "I'll go put the kettle on then." She walked into the kitchen and levetated the kettle over to her and filled it with water, then put it on the stove. She pulled an assortment of teas out of the cupboard and walked back into the living room, the boxes of teas floating behind her. "Which tea would you like?"

Pale giggled and nodded. "Alrighty." She walked back into the kitched, the tea he chose infront of her, and the rest trailing along after her. As she put the teabag in the kettle, she put the other teas away. She started humming quietly as she swirled the teabag in the water. She levetated it up and brought it as well as teacups back to Iron and set it on the table infront of him, then poured the tea.

Pale sat on an opposite chair and poured herself tea. She blew on it quietly and sipped it, looking around her house. She felt awkward; she hadn't had company for a while. She sipped her tea again and looked at Iron. "..Are you alright?" She asked quietly, lowering her teacup.

Pale blinked a few times. "We're alone, it's ok. You can tell me what's wrong." She said, sipping her tea again before she set it down again. She took her glasses off and sighed quietly, then pulled the bobbypins out of her mane, letting the curls fall around her shoulders. She looked at him again, and raised an eyebrow at him.

Lark went out that morning and looked at his food stock.. Low... again... Lark sighed, I'm gonna have to go back into Canterlot, aren't I? He shuddered at the thought. Last time he went into Canterlot, he definitely had a negative experience, and that had been many years ago. Ugh... Oh well... I'll just get in and get out... he thought, heading off from his house in the forest into the city.

As he approached the city, the trees seemed to part away, showing the grandiose stature of Canterlot. He sighed and though Let's get this over with... and he entered the city. It didn't take him long before he realized he was lost... Not knowing where anything was, and having experienced many a bad attitude in Canterlot, he decided to just simply walk around and try to find any place to keep his food stock in good shape. He wandered throughout the city, avoiding talking to absolutely anypony, for what seemed like hours. Eventually, he realized he couldn't keep walking aimlessly and decided to go into a cafe.

Artemisia brushed aside her braided gold mane from her face as she pulled her luggage behind her. It was worn and rough around the edges, covered in coffee mug stains and stamps and stickers from distant cities and countries. The wheels clattered loudly as they fell in and out from in between rocks on the cobblestone road. Her cape fluttered in the slight breeze exposing her cutie mark, a map of the known world. She made her way down the streets of Canterlot where she grew up. She had not been back since she left when she was 16, she was 19 now (she also went on a trip when she was 15 but returned sooner) and had seen parts of the world most ponys never saw and spoken with the creatures there in their native tongues. But finally she was back in Canterlot, back to search for her family who supported her and encouraged her gift with languages.

She slowed down when she realized she was lost. It had been years and she had never been in this part of town before. Although she could make her way throughout the world without getting lost she could not manage the winding, maze-like streets of Canterlot. She tugged on her bag when it got stuck in a rut but could not get it unstuck. She sighed and sat down on top of it, missing the home she once knew.

Eventually she spotted another pony walking into a cafe and shouted at them "Excuse me, would you mind helping me get my luggage out of this rut, it's stuck."

"Hm?" Lark heard the mare ask him for help, "Oh.. sure, no problem..." Well, so far I'm not running into the same old stuck-up breed I usually do... he thought to himself. He looked at the bag for a bit, trying to decide the best way to get it out... He circled around it, then pushed it around and eventually managed to ease it out of the rut, then slowly pulled it out, making sure the luggage would not get broken or damaged. "Here you go... Say, uh.. you have any idea where I can go to get food? I'm, uh.... running low..."
