Applejack: I really couldn't decide, but I'd say Unicorn, because of a deviantART drawing I saw.

 

Pinkie Pie: Pegasus, no doubt. It fits her personality.

 

Octavia: Unicorn; she looks like the type of pony to be dignified like Rarity.

 

Apple Bloom: Pegasus, because of all her excitement thingies? XD I can't decide. >.<

 

Big Mac: Unicorn, because he's so reserved and everything.

 

Golden Harvest/Carrot Top: Unicorn, because I think it would match her curly mane.

 

Berry Punch: Pegasus, just cause she looks like one? XD

 

Diamond Tiara: Unicorn; it matches her name, and I can so easily imagine her having one, eyes narrowed in evil...

Silver Spoon: Unicorn, but for different reasons from Diamond Tiara. She looks really cute with it in my mind's eye.

I really really really like how they are;

 

However i put them all for unicorn's because i can't imagine any of them with wing's.

 

Applejack: Magic + heard working = every job every in Ponyville done and million's of apples for everyone!

 

Pinkie Pie: See can already break the 4th wall, imagine if she also had magic? she already has super speed to so magic would effectively make her the most powerful pony in all of equestria!

 

Octavia: Magic would really ,help her with chello + she could probably just play the entire orchestra on her own with magic

 

Apple Bloom: Magic here so that she can make her cutie mark appear with magic <3!

 

Big Macintosh: Hard working already? give magic and his output will increase 10 fold!

 

Golden Harvest/Carrot Top: even more food and can be produced with magic they can make the perfect condition's and even greenhouses more easily with magic!

 

Berry Punch: magic more punch = win!

 

Diamond Tiara / silver spoon: magic because she is spoiled already, now she really doesn't have to get anything for herself, just use levitation magic!

Honestly....I coudn't decide at all by picking for Apple Jack and Big Mac.

At the end i picked unicorn because it would help her with her work in the farm.

Same goes for Big Mac.

Hmmm, seeing a lot of detailed responses! If there were actually an episode in Season 3 that had the ponies switching wings and horns, that would be very interesting.

For Apple Jack I went with unicorn. Using magic may make work easier on her.

 

Pinkie I went with unicorn. To see her use magic would just be funny.

 

Big Mac Pegasus.

 

DD and SS, I also went with unicorn just because they act like some unicorns.

 

As for the others I just guessed, cause I had no idea for the others.

Applejack definitely pegasus -- I think she would love to be able to fly and compete with rainbow dash on that level.

 

Pinkie Pie -- Unicorn. Really, could you see Pinkie Pie with wings? She has enough devices to let her fly if she needs to but -- pinkie pie with wings.... It would be like giving a cat wings.

 

Big Mac -- Unicorn. I could see him having uses for it, and I see him as the most studious apple (although that could be fanon bleeding into canon). He is just the quiet type in the extreme.

 

Other than that I went with the flow.

I would not see Big Mac as a pegasus at ALL, I mean, all that muscle and his big bulky shape would not fit any type of pegasus wings
