books In regards to creepypastas

Hello, I am an avid reader of creepypastas, it's one of my hobbies, not writing of course, but reading them. Anyways, I've run into a bit of a problem... Not many of them are good... Too many rely on clichès and predictable story-telling to come off as "scary". Totally takes me out of the emersion of the story.

 

By the way, I realize these technically arn't books, but it is reading. Also I had to pick a prefix.

 

So I turn to the MLP forums for your opinions.

1. What is the greatest "creepypasta" you've ever read.

And if possible.

2. What is the greatest "trollpasta" you've ever read.

 

For me, the best creepypasta that I've read so far is "the cymbal dragon" and you can find that here,

I'm assuming you know about Ben Drowned, the Creepypasta-turned-ARG, but if you haven't, the original arc is well worth reading, especially with the accompanying videos on this YouTube channel. (The videos are in reverse chronological order on that page, so for the full experience, watch them from the bottom up and ignore the first 3. I mean, the last 3. The ones with a dude talking in the thumbnails.)

 

Candle Cove is another extremely good one with an interesting presentation, and a pretty quick read.

I'd say BEN. About that Zelda: Majora's Mask haunted catridge.

It was good, but the videos were clearly hacked roms. And in some point, he even used Ocarina of Time sections. Lol, he wasn't fooling anybody.

 

However, the scariest creepypasta was one I read like year and a half ago: Smile.dog

That thing was scary.

I'm not the biggest Creepypasta fan, and I'm actually a huge wuss when it comes to horror in general. I've spent many sleepless, paranoid nights telling myself I shouldn't have done that read that creepypasta.

 

So yeah, thanks but no thanks.
