parso didnt believe shade, but he did as she said, he got his bags and placed them on his back, and picked up the metal pole he was using as a weapon

"alright Pinkie, you think you can trot-it or do you need me to carry you everywhere"

"i think i can trot, Parso. but i wouldnt mind getting a free piggy-back ride"

"somehow, i thought you'd say something like that"

parso smiled at his pink curly maned friend

"alright ladies, once Shade gets back we're outta here"

he sat down and waited for Shade's arrival

Fluttershy was still weeping silently to herself when she suddenly heard a light thumping at the door. She was scared out of her mind.

 

'How?! How did they find out I was here?!' her mind was racing as to what her next move would be, what her next move COULD be. She decided to look through the small gap still left in her window, she wanted to see if the problem was bad enough to act upon.

 

She soon wished she hadn't.

 

"App..." the words were caught in her throat, "Apple...bloom?" she said, her tears now pouring like rivers. For the lone filly zompony was there, beating at her door with a vacant expression while the others continued thier moaning, unaware of the fillys' attempts.

 

Fluttershy had no idea why Applebloom would be the only one beating on her door, perhaps it's out of some semblance of memory she still had when she was alive. "She..... She never...*sob* never e-even got her cutie... mark..." she slid away from the window, even fillies and colts were fair game to these abominations of nature. Fluttershy never wanted to scream in frustration like she did now, but she knew if she had, she'd invite the same fate unto herself, and as bad as dying would be, it was harder for her to think of what she would do to other ponies and animals if she ever turned.

 

"Nuh- No.... Why? Why like this?" she crawled over to her saddle bag, some animal strength pain killers and bandages in her bag, she sifted through them until she found what she was looking for. Her photo album, she looked at the pictures of her friends and the animals that she'd helped. "Why can't it go back to the way it was..?" she asked herself quietly, holding the photo album close to her as she wept.

 

as shade was coming back from scouting around the forest... she sees flutershys house with some zomponies around... she thinks

 

maybe there will be some extra food there...

 

she goes to the house... sneeking and silent killing zomponies that got in her way... she entered and looked around the house... as she steped... a loud creek came from the floor...

Seafoam heads back into the camp. All of these ponies seemed to be somewhat prepared She didn't have anything. It all happened so fast that she couldn't get anything from her house and everything had been cleaned out from buildings. Umm... Hey every pony... I don't actually have any supplies. My house was swarmed so fast... they devoured everything.

as shade was coming back from scouting around the forest... she sees flutershys house with some zomponies around... she thinks

 

maybe there will be some extra food there...

 

she goes to the house... sneeking and silent killing zomponies that got in her way... she entered and looked around the house... as she steped... a loud creek came from the floor...

I won't die like this!" she shouted, she then readied herself, and drawing from a strength she never knew she had, managed to buck the baracade off, as well as shattering her window, she then stashed her album into her saddle bag and was off. As if the initial stinging in her back hooves wern't bad enough, she managed to cut her wings upon jumping out of her window.

 

"Ahh...ngh" she wenches as she tried to flap her wings to gain altitude, but it was for not, she would have to glide back down or risk spiraling out of control. As she hit the ground she began to gallop towards Ponyville... Or rather, what was once Ponyville, 'If I could just make it to Twilight...' she thought to herself, "If she could just be alright, then maybe she could research a spell or something to turn this whole thing around!' as she galloped, she left a blood trail, seems as if one of her cuts is deeper then she knows.

Split Focus shifted the log he was sitting on.

"What i wouldn't give for a bed right about now" he thought to himself

He was sitting outside the conversing group, his baseball bat leaned up next to him.

He kicks back and relaxes and sees Rainbow Dash enter the camp.

Rainbow Dash saw that everypony was full of emotion and thought of the day's events... She didn't like touchy feely conversation so she avoided the conversations.

Split Focus motioned for her to come join him.

She sat down on a large rock adjacent to him.

"heh... you don't want to talk about the day either huh?" Split focus asked rainbow

"Nah, I prefer to go by the moment" she replied

"yeah, that's we have to do now for survival..." he said

The two continued to converse...

shade: she was.... erm... she just passed out, that's all...

Parso jokingly said, trying to strike a nerve in both Split and Rainbow Dash. after receiving a dirty look from both of them he burst out laughing

"oh come now, I was only kiddin' on the first half of that, but serious on the second, you need to grab your gear, pronto"

Parso's leadership skills were bad, but this was urgent. though he thought, Shade is taking an awful long time, maybe she found the others. he thought about going out and looking for her but restrained that thought when shade finally arrived

The two got up, snickered a bit, and rejoined the group.

Shade had just returned with Fluttershy. Fluttershy didn't look so good. But she was safe and that was important.

"So once we pack up what is the plan shade?" asked split focus

Shade lets go of pinky and picks up the stuff... And checks up on flutershy...

 

Shade: probably some reactions from the loss of blood... Come on we need to keep going...

 

Half way to Zecoras shade feels the pain of the scratch on her face... She looks at her right wing... Witch seems to have healed...

She shakes her head and keeps walking...

 

Shade: there it is... Zecoras hut in the distance!

Soooo... Seafoam, is it? I don't recall ever meeting you prior to this little incident... Well I'm Applejack, and I reckon it must've been mighty frightening... Ya know, runnin' from those zomponies and all, 'till Parso found ya...

 

Here have this cupcake I found back in Ponyville. Its a tad dry now, but other than that its in pretty good shape.

 

AJ sees the trees thinning up ahead..

Rainbow Dash could see the outline of the hut through the foliage

"aha there it is..." she exclaimed

"I've never met zecora" said split focus

The group was nearing the hut...

Some rustling came from the bushes near by, the group froze for a moment. The rustling ceased, and the group continued onward.

Parso gripped his metal bar tightly, that rustling could be anything, but he wasn't gonna take any chances.

"why would anypony wanna live out here?"

"because she's a zebra, silly!"

"...that doesnt answer my question, but whatever"

they continued to the african-themed shack

"looks like someplace forgot to take down their nightmare night decorations"

She was looking for what made that sound... She saw Zecora lying down with a pool of blod around her...

Shade: ZECORA!!!

She gets to her and investigates the zebra...

Zecora: cough* cough* zomponie give no mercy, don't hesitate to end them... Cough* take what you need cough* for it is no use to me... Someone you seek is near... All... You.... Need... Is......... To......... Coughhhhhhhhhhh*

 

Zecora died right there...

Shade with her eyes watering...

 

Shade: those damn ponies will pay for this...

The bushes begin to rustle again

"I think we have company..." said rainbow dash

"ya' don't say?" replied split focus.

"this isn't the time t-"

zombponies began to enter the small clearing from the bushes

Dash readied her knife

Split focus raised his bat

The zomponies started after the group, their numbers about 20 or so. They were very hungry...

 

"don't worry we can take 'em" said split focus, he failed to see a unizombie.

"Everybody heads up!" dash pointed out the zombified unicorn...

"everypony hit the dirt!"

everyone crouched but shade, to which Parso dove forward and brought her to the ground with a thud. after getting a death stare. he made a face meaning 'sorry but i had to'. he crawled into the shack, looked for a bottle of flammable liquid, to his luck, Petroleum. a few moments later he stormed outside, brandishing a bottle with a rag on fire sticking out of it. a molotov ponytail

"chew on this you ugly bastards!"

with a leg-dislocating throw, he managed to hit his primary target, the unizompony, also torching a few other zomponies around it. the groans became more of screams until they stopped moving. his foreleg was in pain as he never threw anything that hard before

"argh! you're gonna have to deal with the rest"

Seafoam smiles at AJ. Thank you... but we should probably focus on the current situation. I'd love to get to know you better when vicious undead beasts aren't trying to rip my face off. Okay? Seafoam was terrified but she tried to act tough in front of the others. She had all ready made a fool of herself twice now. Umm... Back in my home town I used to practise knife throwing... so I'll see what I can do. She takes her knife out and throws it with deadly accuracy and nails a zompony right between the eyes. It staggers backwards into another zompony and they both fall back into the fire Parso created.
