Celestia and Luna's talents/parents

Since Celestia and Luna control the sun and moon, maybe their parents were the ones to create to universe.

One created the stars and the moon and the other created the sun and earth, when they finished they put their two daughters on Equestria bestowing them the power to control the sun and moon, then retired to another universe.

Maybe Celestia and Luna's power to control the sun and moon are skills passed down from thier parents.

 

Its a generation thing maybe.

But Celestia has been raising both the sun and the moon while Luna was gone.

 

I think being a alicorn is more then enough skill, to be able to fly as well as do magic is an amazing ability on it's own

I don't know how long alicorns are suppose to live but... Celestia has lived one heck of a long time.

So I don't know maybe she was just created or placed somehow?

I don't really see how she could be just born normally. Same with Luna of course.

I would say they are sort of "gods" in equestria but they where not around forever or anything

I think Celestia and Luna's parents created all of Equestria and then 'retired' (died). The powers of controlling what their parents created were passed to both Celestia and Luna but Celestia got more of it because she's older. That way, she was able to banish Luna and raise both the sun and the moon by herself.

 

I always imagine Celestia and Luna's aprents as super tall Alicorns. A male with a long grey beard and a horn worn with age, blue eyes and a white pelt. And a female with weathered wings that reflect the stars, pink eyes, and a dark blue pelt.
