http://mlpforums.com...ow-do-you-draw/ also theres a blog from Honeypuff that a tutorial too (if you can find it ) this might help but also try looking at tutorial so you can get into the habit of getting the shapeing of you ponies right, also something you can do is watch episodes of MLP and the pause it when you get a ponie pose you would like to have a go at drawing then draw away

edit: here Honeypuff tutorial http://mlpforums.com/blog/70/entry-240-%E2%99%A1tutorial-how-to-draw-ponies-pinkie-pie/

Here are some tips for drawing ponies: Make sure they have 4 legs, 2 eyes, a mane and a tail. Unless they are young you probably also want them to have a cutie mark, I would also not recommend making them half air plane or half basketball.

As for the eyes, well you want to make sure you have a pupil and an iris. If it's female then you want to consider adding eye lashes.

But really, practice. Yes, you can learn tips and stuff, and get a general idea of how to do it, and that's all good stuff you should do, but at the end of the day, practice, practice and more practice is what will get you there :)

Yeah I've been wanting to get better at this myself. That old saying about practice making perfect is actually 100% true. Nobody's born a great artist, they all have to hone their abilities much like how athletes have to get themselves in shape.

Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here

Well when I draw ponies I usually start of with basic shapes and lines, so pretty much looks like a stick figure at first. Erase. Give it it's actually body shape with no face or hair, just the base. Then I start drawing Features, such as eyes and hair and noses and whatnot. Cutie mark next and then if u like to make it look awesome, I scan it and trace it again on the computer, using multiple layers for colors and parts. I hope this helped u out a bit

I begun with out-lines... It helps getting you used with the shape I guess. I did so like 2-3 times, and now I draw them without more than a couple of guide-lines (mainly for the face/head)

So I took this personality-test... And apparently, I'm most like Fluttershy~
2015- edit - not too much has changed, but now I'm a wee bit more like Twilight~
