Stingray 44 September 23, 2012 Author Share September 23, 2012 Thanks! The more detailed works took a maximum of about three hours. I usually make these after my scheduled bed time. Usually have to have the TV or some music on so I don't feel bored out of my mind while doing them. Of course I enjoy drawing, it's just that I don't handle uncomfortable silence that well when I'm doing something like this. You say you were thirteen when you drew your first drawings? Needless to say your pencil technique is insanely skilled. One wouldn't expect such intricate details from human hands. Just amasing. The concept art even seems believable! The Escape shuttle really caught my eye. Something I would consider though; if the escape shuttle is needed, would you launch away from the vehicle at that angle? I guess it would depend on the angle at which you are being attacked from. I always come up with an explanation like that with any technical fault I might make... But anyways, that's a factor not to worry about in this scenario. Civilian ship and crew, no threats but the alien itself. Helicopters are indeed a passion, and I'm currently writing volume one of a series of books on Russian rotorcraft. However, I consider it more of a side interest.
