gaming WoW:MoP, Thoughts?

Well, after many server issues (detailed here: http://mlpforums.com/topic/33956-rip-blizzard-servers/) i finally got to play MoP yesterday, and so far all i can say is that its alright, leveling seems to be considerably faster than previous expansions, 85-86 took me no more than 3 hours, whereas 80-81 i remember taking considerably longer. We only get 2 normal MoP dungeons to start with so i can only vouch for those being rather decent.

 

It will come down to the end game, it always does with WoW (and most other MMOs) but so far its looking alright, besides the server problems. End game will have to be brilliant to hold me on the game though.

 

 

What are everypony else's thoughts on MoP? anyone considering buying it?

i stop play at cataclysm, wow really lost its appeal, so idk how the new one is but i can say that deathwing was like the last major end game thing they had left, and i believe there just pull random things out of a hat now to make more money and to keep players in. itll never be like the good ol days of vanilla wow.

Honestly, one of the things I hated about post-Vanilla WoW was that gear took a greater precedent than skill in the game, and the faster leveling because you'd have people hitting level cap that have no idea what they're doing with the class. Such as a Heroic Nexus I did in Wrath with a group talking crap about me using Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros, but I assured them if my DPS was too low I'd switch to my legitimate weapon. I was doing 40% of the group's damage. The fury warrior, the most outspoken against my shiny orange weapon, was doing 400dps, at level 80. I posted the damage meters and legitimately asked him how we was only doing 400 damage (I honestly wanted to know), and he got saddlesore, and rage quit the group. Rest of the group asked if we should find a replacement, and I told them, "No, it's not like we haven't been four manning it since the beginning anyway." We all laughed, and finished the heroic. The worst part is, though, is that Blizzard caters to these people and rather than making it so they have to learn how to play, they just nerf anything that gives them trouble. "What's that, Icecrown Citadel is already on farm status for almost everyone in the world, but there's a handful of people that still can't clear it? Nerf it immediately!"

 

 

That, right there, killed WoW.

Server problems right after an expansion comes out it's normal coming from Blizzard, it happened when WoTLK came out.

WoW is now so easy that is not even fun, i tried cataclysm and when i saw that the game helps you to chain your skills it made me tear off my face.

I think WoW:TBC is the best expansion of WoW, difficult raids, good storyline, and it was so awesome when you got to fight Illidan in the Black Temple, i still can't beat him...

The essence of a true MMO has been lost in WoW, which saddens me up... i don't think i can trust Blizzard anymore.

Ya'll probably did not notice, but i've not been on the forums in a while, MoP has consumed all of my free time away from university work. Questing wise they are my favorite quests so far and the dalies/rep system means that at level 90 you still have a lot to do, which is cool. I'm yet to do a raid, but the Heroics are quite fun as are the scenarios.

I have never played WoW, but the Panda Bear Ninja I see in the advertisements looks really cool. Can people play as pandas now?

Yes they can, Panda's are a new race and can be either Horde or Alliance (you get to choose at the end of the starter zone), there is also the new Monk class which is interesting.

 

They also added Farmville and Pokemon to WoW with the ability to have your own farm and to have "battle pets" that can have battles with other pets.

Well we just got MoP, and today I shall be playing it with the expansion, I have made a Pandaren Monk, so that I can try the new features. I have read a few good reviews of it and I cannot wait to play it with the expansion pack. Hopefully the new race and class is fun to play, if not I think I will stick to my pally.
