Dimitri wiped sweat off of his forehead and sighed. He cautiously walked inside the house and entered a corner. "I don't know if I can manage this..." He whispered under his breath as he took out his flask and took a swig. Dimitri stared at the others in the house. "Maybe if I eat something I'll feel better..."

"Oh stop Draco, you're embarrassing me. Though I really think you should visit a clinic." Cherry Blossom added along the way. When she was introduced to Letrix she blushed at Draco's and Letrix's remark. "Wow I never knew that I was that pretty, but I'll never know what I look like. Or what you guys look like."

 

Draco said teasingly"Oh come now Cherry i haven't taken that many knocks to the head to warrant a visit to the clinic. And cherry as long as your happy with the compliments I give you I'm happy plus if i make you laugh that's also a good thing"Draco escorted cherry inside.Draco looked at dimitri"Hey didn't i deliver a flask to you once or amI just imagining things or was it that i accidentally put a hole in your wall when i was trying to deliver a package to Celestia"Draco was racking his brain trying to remember"Oh well"Draco ruffled his feathers slightly and stretching his wings straight up then curling them back onto his back.

Cherry Blossom accidentally hit her head on the doorway as she walked in, "Ow," she said to nopony in particular. She put a hoof to her head and just continued flying in. She wasn't sure of what to do; Cherry Blossom didn't go to parties very often and she was a bit shy around ponies she hadn't met.

Wind Melody finished her last melody before nodding her thanks to the listeners, who now turned away and made there way home or wherever they were going. She quickly took apart her flute and threw it into miniature case, which she then placed into the saddlebag. She scooped the small amount of bits she had made into her saddlebag as well, before carefully lifting it onto her back and making her way passed ponies playing, exercising, or anything else you could do in the park.

 

She had received the invitation just that morning, a casual party at her old friend Letrix's house. She bumped into a colt dragging a taxi behind him, and she hurriedly apologized before stepping back to let him pass. Looking to make sure she didn't bump into anyone else, she continued onward. Letrix's house was already in sight, and it looked cleaner than usual, but her eyes could have been fooling her, the sun casting beautiful shadows on the building.

 

She slowed her pace as she drew nearer. Beads of sweat rolled down her face, but she quickly wiped them off her brow. She had nothing to be afraid of, this was, after all, a simple party. A simple party with friendly ponies, right? She approached the door, reaching out her hoof to touch the small doorbell.

Draco put a comforting wing onto her back gentlely"You know that if your uncomfertable inside we can go outside"Draco whispered into her ear comfortingly. He cared greatly for his friend maybe even loved her but he wanted her to be comfortable.

Dimitri still stood in the corner. Awkwardly staring at everypony and drinking from his flask. "They'll never accept me here....I'm a freak." He thought as his eyes shifted from left to right. He let out a big sigh and headed towards the middle of the room. "Better do it now than never..." He thought as he trotted slowly around the room.

Letrix heard the doorbell go and opened the door. "Hello, Its great you could come. Please come in." Letrix said to Wind Melody as he signalled too Vinyl Scratch to start the music. Letrix then began to look round the room to see if anypony would like to chat. He was very eager to find out more about his guests.

"I-I think all be fine in the house. If that's okay with you." Cherry Blossom let out sigh and continued to just sit with Draco. She turned to his direction and asked him, "You're being so nice to me all of a sudden. Do you have something to say to me?" she giggled.

"Thank you Letrix, good to see you to." She trotted in and took a look around. There were a few, no, more than a few ponies there, but the house wasn't filled to it's max. She comfortably headed in the direction of a white pony who's mane reminded her of a cherry blossom. Hoping to find some conversation in this nice looking pony. Unfortunately, the mare kept flying around the house, and it was hard to keep up with her. Eventually giving up, she turned and headed toward the kitchen, her stomach groaning with the emptiness it always had after she played her flute.

"I-I think all be fine in the house. If that's okay with you." Cherry Blossom let out sigh and continued to just sit with Draco. She turned to his direction and asked him, "You're being so nice to me all of a sudden. Do you have something to say to me?" she giggled.

 

"Hey as long as iI get time with you I'm happy"Draco said as he scooted close to Cherry."But I do want to ask though what do you think of me Cherry"Draco gentlely turns cherry's head towards him so he can see her face. Dimitri creeped back into the corner of the room. The music seemed to relax him, but he was still nervous. "I'll just let somepony initiate in conversation with me first...no need to seem pushy and all." He thought this to himself as he swayed along to the music.

"Dimitri, You seem a little anxious, are you okay?" Sky asked Dimitri as he began to walk up to him. "You should try loosening up a bit. Maybe you should try and find a marefriend that would help you chill out a bit, right?" Letrix wasn't sure if he was giving Dimitri good advice or not but at least he was talking to somepony.

Dimitri woke up from his trance. "Huh, oh I'm not anxious...I just...never been to a party before. I'm still adjusting to life here."

 

Dimitri started to stroke his beard anxiously. "Oh would you look at that, my beard seems to be tangled! May I use your restroom perchance?"

Draco began to sttutter slightly as he drew circles on the floor with his hoof. He was never one to talk to a mare like Cherry as anything but a friend when it came to the matters of the heart well he would stutter then he would either try to change the subject. But he was cornered by this one pretty mare.Draco steeled his nerves and said"Alright yeah i do have something to say Cherry I like you. That doesn't sum up the feelings I have for you. I love you Cherry, I uynderstand if you don't want to be my marefriend but i can understand being your friend but would you like to be my special some pony?"Draco laid his chips on the table(metaphorically) now we'll see if his gamble pays off."you don't have to answer now but later ok i just wanted to let you know that i'll be your friend either way" Edited October 2, 2012 by dragon4111

Quillusion set down the book she had just finished, and looked at the clock. After looking at it for more time than most, she realized she was late, late to the first party anyone had ever invited her to. She quickly ran up to her room, checking herself in a mirror on the way there, as she grabbed a brush and ran into the bathroom. She started to brush her mane, making sure it was nice looking, before heading out. She started to get nervous, it was her first party she had ever been to. She walked slower and slower as she neared the house, having second thoughts about this. But it was to late she was already at the door. She slowly raised her hoof, and knocked rather quietly.

Gemstone was checking his gem inventory in his gem volt. As he finished he looked at the clock on the wall. Dear sweet Celestia!Im late! Locking his volt and running down stairs. Cherry Blossom blushed heavily and grew silent. She hadn't known that Draco had developed feelings for her. Her mind was racing with trying to find what to say back, but she stayed silent and just smiled at him. It was the only thing she could do at this point, she became extremely nervous.

He smiled back at her gentlely as he kept his wing on her back comfortingly."don't get nervous Cherry after all you just received a love confession from a friend.all you need to do right now is think about it and enjoy your night" Draco said slightly. He sighed."i wish sometimes I don't know that I can talk to mares better. I mean with you i sometimes stutter Ican't help but be shy around them"

Quillusion slowly turned around upon hearing another pony arrive. She had no idea how many would be here, she was hoping not a lot, but from the sounds coming from inside, it sounded like a lot. "Oh, um, hi Gemstone, my name is Quillusion." She said, quietly. She was really nervous now. Pull yourself together Quillusion, you can do this. She started to repeat to herself. "It seems as if I am not the only pony late now." She said with a nervous laugh

Dimitri looked around the room and smiled. "I guess I can try to talk to somepony. I am not good at conversing yet, but now is good time to start I guess." Dimitri straightened his beard out and gave a determined look. "I'll make a new comrade at some point tonight! I'll just give it my all to not be a nervous wreck!"

"Ah sure Dimitri it's upstairs, first right." Letrix said as went to go answer the door. As he opened the door he saw Gemstone and Quilusion. "Hello, please come in. It's a pleasure to have you both here. Make yourselves at home." Letrix said to the pair as he looked at his clock.

Draco looked around slightly"The house is rather spacious.Looks like Vinyl Scratch is playing a song right now.besides the couch we're sitting on right now there's not much besides the punch bowl and assort ment of food."Draco sighed slightly"You know how bad i am at describing things Cherry. Besides I like just sitting here with you"Draco said with an embarrassed tone.
