FoxyCryptid 4,330 October 3, 2012 Share October 3, 2012 I got a Wacom Bamboo Create and this is the first pic I did from scratch on it. What do you guys think of it? I'm not sure how well I did. 6 "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. Acoustic Cloud 2,202 October 3, 2012 Share October 3, 2012 I think that looks really good for your first tablet drawing ever... they are kinda awkward to use at first, you even did shading /)
Zygen 6,066 October 3, 2012 Share October 3, 2012 (edited) Looks pretty good to me I think that the color of red you used however looks a bit to red for big mac.. something is a bit off with the color to me it seems. Also I don't know if its theres somehow a lack of detail or something missing, but it feels like something a bit off. I can't exactly tell what. Anyways it's still very good for you first tablet drawing! It has shading and it is very cleanly drawn. and of course much better then anything I will ever draw(Which is good because I'm no artist so if it was worse then something I draw well... That would probably be bad. Edited October 3, 2012 by Zygen 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! FoxyCryptid 4,330 October 28, 2012 Author Share October 28, 2012 (edited) I did up a pic of Applebloom with my tablet, i got a little more into it and experimented more with this one since I had the hang of using the thing. http://shobonimaster...bonimaster&qo=0 Edited October 28, 2012 by Shoboni "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. Rainbow Skywalker 642 October 28, 2012 Share October 28, 2012 I was wondering which tablet I should buy, and judging by these ( and the fact that I know you are already a great artist ) it doesn't seem it would accurately reflect one's drawing skills if I chose a wacom bamboo tablet. I do however like the apple bloom drawing better than the Big mac one. Signature by Azura みぞれ 恋人 (:

I do however like the apple bloom drawing better than the Big mac one. It really feels just like using a pen, it's just that some of the really good stuff of mine you saw is years old and I've gotten rusty due to laziness during that time. It takes some getting used to on it, I think it just came easier for me because i was already passable with a mouse by the time I got a tablet. I definitely recommend the Bamboo Capture I have(it costs about $107 in Best Buy) but there is a slightly cheaper model that has less bells and whistles. And thanks:) "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. Silverwisp the Bard 2,354 October 28, 2012 Share October 28, 2012 Not bad for a start. Big Macintosh left hindleg needs some work and his left frontleg has a bit too much shading on it. Outlines should be coloured, not black. For better results sample colours from a screenshot/googled pic. My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. kirbyboi 588 October 28, 2012 Share October 28, 2012 (edited) Woah...this was drawn on a tablet?! Thats really good...especially since it was your first time!! If I ever drew something on a tablet, it'd look like this But anywho, it's really good. Love how you drew Big Mac, and the shading is well done. Just make his hair a bit more orangey, and your good to go! Looks great!!! Edited October 28, 2012 by Pixiesong
thegoodhen 698 October 28, 2012 Share October 28, 2012 That's cool! I especially love the shading; the eye looks very fine, too. It's a pity you decided to save it as jpeg, though. Png, and given the rather limited color palette, even gif would be a better choice...
TheFabulousPony 102 October 28, 2012 Share October 28, 2012 Considering it was your first tablet drawing, its fantastic lol I am not an artist, but from what I've heard (and seen) the first drawing is always hard and such.
