New Princess Cadence toy?

I don't know if this has or is currently being discussed but did anyone notice the new Princess Cadence toy commercial that recently showed up? cuz I sure did!

 

Anyone else agree/think she looks almost exactly like that thing they called Princess Celestia that was pink (Pinkestia?) but with a diffrent color mean, tail,hoof things and wings? I think they used the old "Princess Celestia" toys and just tweaked them! what do you think?

Well this one does look similar to the old one...

 

My bet is they used the same mold, but the color is a bit different

I always see the MLP toys in walmart, but I'm always disappointed because of how little they resemble the real characters. but yes, I agree. it's like they took the exact same mold and just added a few details hoping no one would notice.

I like the plushies better anyways.

I do not blame Hasbro at all, they are satisfying their primary target which are little girls, but really, they should be more aware of bronies and do more other kind of toys.

I KNOW!!! its so super annoying that Hasbro makes the freaking toys but doesn't have the sense to make the toys look even remotely correct!!!

yeah, but hell, I'm willing to pay as long as it's not $500. that looks so legitimate and not many people would have it, so I'd feel so honoured lol. but yeah, hasbro sucks when it comes to toys.

I live in a small town so the closest one to me is an hour away but we don't go very often and I litteraly have to drag my mom to the mall!

 

yeah, I live in a town where the population is 1000 and my dad is the only one that drives. he hates shopping, so I rarely go to the mall, especially Hot Topic, which sucks since that's my favourite store and it has mlp merch. Edited October 10, 2012 by derpy_muffins14

*Ahem* I own both and can say that yes. They are the same body mold. The only difference between them is the color (Cadence is a darker pink) and the wings. Cadence has the nice molded wings that make her more show accurate, while white/pinklestia still have those weird sewn wings. The voices are different obviously, and I actually REALLY LOVE Cadence's voice box, as she has a clip of "Love's In Bloom" on her. The rest is your typical "My dress is SOOO PRETTY!" And "Today is my WEDDING DAY! " But she still sounds good. Her colors are actually spot on, though I do wish they had stuck with the original gradient in her wings that the prototype had. Ah well. Hasbro loves its shortcuts.
