Tonights topic isn't going to involve any 80s music, I know can you believe it! Tonight topic is about the Big Bird ad Obama made, I do not know if it is just me but I see a thing messed up with it. The ad states that Romney wants to shut down PBS and kill Big Bird. So here is were they twisted Romney's words, He said that he wanted to cut its Federal Fundings. PBS well be just fine without government money ( we are in enough debt anyway. ) So I will post a link to the ad and share your thoughts about it. Im Brohoof117, Stay 20% Cooler

Big Bird - Obama for America TV Ad - YouTube Here is the Obama ad. If you ask me and keep in mind that this is in my opinion, I think it is a bunch of trash, I think that this is Obama's way of a coverup for him apologizing to Lybia

Yeah I agree PBS would be fine without the government money... Obama just wanted to appeal to mothers... This is why I usually don't get involved in politics, all it is is each side twisting the truth to make their case look better.

Honestly, I'm not sure why everyone at PBS thinks Romney is going to shut them down. PBS will be fine, even without its funding. Even if Romney does cut its funding, it would just make the channel like any other channel. They'd have to have... COMMERCIALS!!! Oh horror!

Sesame Street is not going anywhere, folks. It is one of the biggest merchandising cash cows in the US. They sell more toys and products based on the Sesame Street franchise than any other children's franchise in existence.

Yeah, Sesame Street has generated around $300 million dollars alone in revenue in the past couple of years or so, what with it's vast merchandising and all. I seriously doubt that if PBS was cut government spending that it would be the immediate demise of the show. If anything, I'd think it would be better for them to go their own route and not rely on government sanctums.

The ad was very stupid too. Romney simply stated that there wouldn't be as much government assistance with the network if he was nominated, which is perfectly fine. It's not like he's literally out to destroy PBS. The ad cut out a LOT of the vitle points Romney tried to make. And hey, I'm a full-blown Socialist, and I'm siding with Romney on this one!

Couldn't have said it better the whole thing was just a cover-up for Obama's mistake that he made with Lybia. Also I think the commercial was a very childish move on Obama's part imo

Of course, it isn't a true U.S presidential race until both candidates have made asses of themselves. Whatever, can't wait till this political debacle ends so that we can go back to giving a hoot.
