Welcome to the Platinum Woods Hotel RP!

This will be a Slice-of-Life focused on the relation between the characters, therefore no deaths, gore, summoning villains, etc.

 

Be very careful to not make your OC any sort of threat to the other players. If you're planning in having one of those "mental breakdowns" that would end up injuring the other characters, then I'd ask you to re-think your character's backstory a little.

Anyway. First of all, I wanted to hear about how's everyone enjoying the RP. I want to hear complaints, suggestions and whatnot. A small activity check would also be great, so tell me how often you're currently posting, or if you noticed any other player's sudden absence.

Secondly, it would be nice to organize a few things regarding the RP. For instance, tell me your character's room number. From what I saw in an earlier post, the rooms go from 1 to 20 through the hallway in the first floor, and 21 to 40 upstairs.

Third and last: I'm planning on joining back the RP (finally). I've just finished a new OC that I created specifically for this RP and I'm planning on making him the butler or the manager of the hotel. This OC is Benjamin Von Dusk. Tell me what you think of him~

 

Once I re-join, I'll be controlling those supernatural events that I promised. :3

Well, since my character is the only staff member available to talk to, i have my hands full of work. It´s like everyone appears suddenly in the reception and wants a room. Because of some early confusion, some character got themself a key with random room numbers. But i think thats ok i guess since a castle has a lot more rooms than just 20.

 

To tell the truth, i´ve had alot of fun most of the time. But i think i´ll just answer the questions in the correct order.

 

First of all

It´s fun. A bit chaotic, but fun. It would be fine if we would have some more staff members or something like that. Since you offered to play the manager, it would be fine if you take that role. I am not in charge of the roleplay, but since i am the only staff member with my OC and everypony keeps asking questions, i decided to describe the hotel some more. I wrote that some areas a not accessable at the moment because they are repaired or not finished with the construction. I described some features of the hotel like that:

 

 

Ground floor: Main hall, reception, dining hall, inner courtyard, garden, rooms from 1-20 and of course the stairs that lead up- and downstairs.

 

First floor: Dancing hall, party room, lounge, rooms from 21 - 60, swimming baths,

 

Second floor: Rooms from 61 - 100 ,

 

Third floor: balcony

 

 

Other things i didn´t think about until now since everypony is usually within the ground floor and first floor. If the hotel looks totaly different from my description, you can change that of course. And i think that @@AustralianFries , @ are a bit absence and there is not a single post until now from @@iAmAYellowSquirrel .

 

Secondly

Since i am a staff member, i think i´ll have one of the first rooms within the hotel. I´ll choose room number 5.

About your character: He looks totaly like a manager. So you should play him as the hotel manager. Personaly i think he may be a bit too gloomy. If you think that it fits within the scenery we have build up so far than i won´t have a problem with that. But if you want to have at least a bit of fun, you shouldn´t play an complete emotionless pony with an unpleasant atmosphere. Iron Wing will defenetiv keep her distance to this character.

Yeah, I actually thought of Benjamin that way: scary and repulsive, in order to add up to the hideous atmosphere of the hotel. I personally think it'll be fun to roleplay with him.

 

Perhaps, if he's going to be the manager, Iron Wing and him could already know each other as working partners. But, of course, with some sort of tension between them. What do you think?

Of course most of the time Benjamin is satisfied with the working power of Iron Wing, but maybe he doesn´t like beeing near her because she is military and armored. Perhaps something happened in his past with the military and his cutie mark?

 

Or she looks with her armor like a knight of this old castle. Perhaps sometimes he sees a ghost if Iron Wing is standing within a dark corner? ... Well, it´s just a suggestion. ^^

Russia (In this case, that'll be Benjamin), is always smiling, and doesn't seem to have other emotions, while e.g. Lithuania (In this case, that'll be Iron Wing) are always scared of what he might do if he gets even the slightest mad... So it'll be like Benjamin is around watching over Iron Wing's work, and Iron Wing is almost always completely creeped out whenever he's around/she discovers him...

I actually already have a vague idea of Benjamin's whole background story... I just would like to keep it a mystery for now for the sake of the character himself~

 

I may reveal some stuff along with the RP's flow. Believe me, it will be fun.

It's a castle: It has a hundred rooms, I don't think sharing would be a good excuse. However, we could go along with that and say that you two were accidentally designated to the same room. Sounds reasonable to me, since Iron Wing is the only worker in the hotel (for now) and she might have mixed things up.

 

That's just a suggestion though.

Well, I never specified what time it was. Although I dod asume that more some had passed in my absense, my latest post could refer to my character taking a nap and after waking up, not remembering what had happened in the previous hours...

 

However I will go edit my post to be a bit more clear as to what happened. Again, sorry bout that slip up. I thought more time had gone by
