[Marathon 562]

As he ran out of the room, hyperventalating, he stoped at the stairs to try and calm down but it didnt work. After a while he started to breath faster to the point he couldnt breath anymore. "Oh god, why cant i breath? i have to calm dow..." he didnt finish his thought before he passed out on the ground.

 

When he woke up he was glad to find that no pony was around. He quickly got up and headed to his room. He locked the door and got out a pencil and paper from his saddle bag and wrote to Bluebell. Almost having another panic attack is not what he needed. Each one becoming worse than the last he felt Bell wasnt safe with him anymore. As a matter of fact it was the one thing that was putting strain on thier relationship. He needed to see a therapist but he just didnt know where to go. He was just glad nopony saw him like that, he didnt want them to think he was...well crazy.

 

He finished writing the letter and put it in his saddle bag. Instead of mailing it, he figured he would diliver it himself. The flight shouldnt rake long and he would be back in not time.

Alona walked along a hallway studying some paintings that were on the wall thinking of what to put in her book when she remembered what one of her best friends had said about this hotel...

"Doesn't that sound like fun?" Alona asked her friend as she were eating lunch with her she had just finished telling her best friend Berry Cream about her plans to stay at the Platinum Woods Hotel.

 

"I wouldn't go to that hotel even if you PAID me!" Berry Cream said looking at her with wide eyes.

 

"why not?" Alona asked curious as to why she said that.

 

"I've heard that place has supposedly been haunted for years!" Berry Cream exclaimed.

 

"then its perfect for my new book!".

 

"its your funeral not mine" Berry Cream muttered as they continued eating.

Alona laughed at the memory "haunted? yeah right!" she scoffed as she continued.

Webnet quickly took a look around the room. It wasn't the best thing ever, but it looked like it would do.

 

There a bed, a desk with a lamp, and a bathroom. He just needed to set up the internet and computer to make it truly awesome in here.

 

He felt kinda bad for ignoring that one colt, but he was busy. He quickly began setting up everything.

 

"This could take a while." He said.

He slowly woke up as he noticed one of the strings had gotten out of tune.

Seems like I've been playing music in my sleep... Awesome. He thought to himself while he yawned loudly.

Feeling a bit more awake now... I guess I should eat... Haven't eaten since midnight with my brother...

 

He stumbled over to his bags to put away the lyre, before he headed for the door. As he opened it, he tripped on forward through the door, and landed on his back with his legs up the opposite wall from his door.

"Still not entirely awake it seems..." he said to himself, as he got back up on his legs and stretched his legs, neck, back and his large wings to the point everything made a light cracking-noise.

"Ah... That felt great..." he said, as he tilted over and leant towards the wall.

That was enough work for one day! She was finally finished with her work and was excited to enjoy the atmosphere of the castle she was working in. Iron Wing walked through the ancient hallways and looked fascinated at the strong build walls and the paintings hanging on them. As she walked toward her room, she noticed the decent brown mare from before. She had seen her in the dining hall. Iron Wing nodded at her. "Greetings. I hope you have a nice stay within this castle." Iron Wing said to her. It was nice to know that some ponies took their time to look at the paintings on the wall just like Iron. Then she heard cracking noises. Not far away she saw a sky blue stallion leaning towards a wall. He looked kind of tired, but Iron didn´t know for sure. She walked in his direction with her metallic hoove steps and asked him. "Um... are you alright? Do you need help or something?"

He noticed the armoured mare walking up towards him, asking him if he was alright.

"I'm fine..." He said, as he blinked and his pupils quickly shrunk to a really small size before coming back to normal size.

"This is sort of how my body thanks me for being up so early..." he continued, as he pushed away form the wall and stretched his wings and legs once more, making even more cracking-noises.

Marathon quickly made his way to the front door of the hotel. As he went he made sure nopony saw him. For a second he stoped and thought about just mailing it but thought it would be better to hand deliver. He heard a loud thump but disregarded it and quickly exited the hotel and went back to ponyville.

Hellcat stumbled out of the bushes and huffed shaking the rain out of her mane, "now where in the hay...." she looked up and noticed the sign that pointed to the hotel then blushed, "oh....that way." she chuckled, "even with all those years in the defense force and i still cant find my way around, id probibly lose my tail if it wasnt attached to my body."

The dark green mare smiled and followed the path up to the hotel and blinked, seeing nopony outside no greeters and lightly rapped a hoof on the door, after noone answered she shrugged and pushed the door open.

"hello?" she poked her head in and looked up and down the main hall but seeing nopony she frowned, "now.....where in the blazes is everypony?"

 

The Amareican trotted fully inside and shut the door behind her, before shaking her entire body to get most of the water off "no use standing out in the cold rain."

Webenet has finally finished and looked at his handiwork. It was all set. Now he can go on the internet again. He gave a little squeal of delight as he found that it worked perfectly.

 

He decided that now would be a good time to check up on the other guest. Maybe apologize to that one he ignored.

After she walked for a long time Alona found herself back in the lobby and noticed a sopping wet forest green unicorn with a white mane and tail shake the rain water off of her "since when did it start raining?" she thought as she walked back to her room.

hellcat frowned and looked around, noticing a pony, "hey can....." but she walked away too quickly for hellcat to ask anything, "you...and shes gone..." hellcat lowered her eyelids, "buck."

walking up to the reception desk, hellcat removed her saddlebags and rang the bell, undoing the top button of her camoflauge uniform, "anyone home? or is this a self help hotel?"

Marathon walked back in through the doors of the hotel now extremly wet. Luckly the letter didnt get to bad. He walked up to the receptionist desk and set the letter on it, he looked the at the new pony. He took out a note pad and pencil and wrote that he needed the letter sent to ponyville. He then turned and went to his room so he could dry off. He was to angry to hold a decent conversation. When he made it to his door he looked at the one room that pony who ignored him stayed. He went up to the door and knocked and loud. "Im going to give this pony a piece of my mind." he said to himself as he waited for the door to open.

As Alona returned to her room she plopped on her bed to relax she thought about the past few hours since arrive how semi crummy it was, and how alot of stuff went wrong "even though today was crud but hopefully tomorrow will be better" she thought as she got under the warm covers and rolled over and went to sleep.

[Marathon 562]

Just after knocking Marathon had second thoughts about being mean to the pony. He then backed away and slowly walked to his room so that he could give a chance for the pony to open his door and see him. He finnaly made it to his door and inserted the key. He opened the door but stood there a second hopeing that he would open his door before he decided to close his door and dry off.

"Hmm... if everything is ok, than i wish you a nice day. If you need anything, just let me know...." Iron Wing replied to the sky blue stallion. She went on to her room, not far away from here, and entered to change clothing. She bathed quickly wash herself and polished the armor anew. Iron put on her armor again and left her room. It was time to relax a bit and to look what the guests were doing. She went downstairs as she heared a pony calling.

Iron noticed a green unicorn standing next to the reception and waiting for somepony so register her. "Hello there!" she started to the green unicorn. "I am not on duty but i´ll help you with registering. Maybe the reception worker was needed elsewhere. We just started to hotel so we are still looking for staff members." Iron Wing said while putting out the registration form and a pen. "Please tell me your name and the time of your stay. If you have any wishes about your room, i´m sure we can handle that." she said friendly to the unknown pony. Of course the reception wasn´t part of her job, but she enjoyed every variety of work within this hotel.

As the armoured mare left, he stood back up from his stretching, and with his long legs he started walking unsteadily down the hall - with the occasional bump into a wall.

"So bright... But where doth one go to eat around here... And do they have sweet chilli-sauce... Those are the questions." he said to himself, as he went down the stairs to the first floor.

Webnet decided the best place to start looking for ponies to interact with, would be at the first floor. He quickly dashed towards the stairs. Unfortunately, he went a little too fast. He ended up tripping and falling down the stairs. It hurt a lot but he was alright.

 

He then saw a sky blue colt. He walked over to him to take a closer look.

As he got down the stairs, a younger unicorn zoomed past him - apparently falling down the stairs. As the unicorn got up on his feet he saw it started walking towards him.

 

Zhooves stopped walking, and stood still there at the bottom of the stairs, looking down at him as the unicorn came closer without a word. He gave him a questioning look, wondering what he wanted...

As he watched the pony who had previously ignored him run to the first floor, Marathon sighed and closed his door and quickly grabed a towl and dried off. He then made his way out to the first floor as well. When he reached the stairs he saw the pony and a light blue colored stalion. The green one had fall as it looks. "Well i better go see if hes ok." He said to hemself, but then he noticed the new mare he had saw earlier and Iron. His mood suddenly brightend as he saw his chance to fix things with both ponys. He made his way down the stairs and nodded at the light blue and green ponys. When he got to the receptionist desk he took a second to gather his thoughts.

"Hey, just wanted to say sorry to both of you since you're both here. Im Marathon, i didnt mean to ignore you." He said to the new pony. He then turned to Iron, "And sorry if i made things awkward between us last time, i just thought it was strange that you were watching us as we came in." He smiled warmly to both the mares.

Iron Wing was surprised to see the black stallion from earlier next to reception as she looked up. The green unicorn was a bit busy Iron guessed, so she took the time to talk to Marathon. "Oh, nice to meet you Marathon. I was watching because i got interested. You are one of the first guests in this hotel. Since i am in charge for the maintanance and the main repairs in this castle that have to be done, i have to be sure that every guest feels comfy." she said with a little smile on her face. "Actually i am a military guard from Cloudsdale. But since i have worked on construction sites in the past, i was chosen to give a helping hoove on this project." she explained.

Webnet faced the blue colt first. "Hi, I'm Webnet, internet expert. What's your name?"

 

He then noticed the black colt coming this way also. When the black colt finished speaking, Webnet then spoke.

 

"Sorry about ignoring you earlier, had a lot to do. Anyway I'm Webnet, nice to meet you Marathon."

He bowed down a tiny bit as he replied to the unicorns question:

 

"Mm... My name is North Light, and my family calls me Nordlys... But most ponies calls me Zhooves. I do... Music, art and a little bit of tech-stuff..." he said, not sounding too confident with there suddenly being other ponies passing and around...

"Webnet? Intresting name, nice to meet you. Umm, whats exactly is your cutie mark?" Marathon asked slightly confused as to what this Webnets mark is. Hes never seen one like it before. Atleast he was making friends. For a while he stared at the mark on webnets flank.

Hellcat blinked than shook her head and smiled at iron wing, "sorry, i get a little spacy sometimes, then again, its beacuse i dont get much downtime in the military, so i dont get to drift off as much, but about the room, i dont care what its with, im used to sleeping on a cot, so a comfy bed is all i ask for."

she smiled over at marathon, "nice too meet you, and by the way, my name is hellcat, whats yours?" she tilted her head with a curious but freindly expression at the blue pony.

Felix had to squint to see the old rundown castle in the middle of the dense forest from the sky. He sighed in relief, knowing that he could give his wings a break. The flight there had been pretty uneventful, boring, and just plain long. The opposite of Felix's taste. "If the flight was going to be long, why couldn't there have at least been good scenery?" He wondered. The tough and rugged stallion descended as the castle became more clear. There were no trains, or any method of transportation that he knew of, that would get him to his destination. Flying was the only option. (Well, there was walking, but that would have been even more boring).

Princess Celestia had let Felix have some time off. The ESS had been particularly busy during the last two months. He had worked 60 to 70 hour weeks rather frequently, and did deserve a break. Celestia rewarded the leader of the special unit some time off for his dedication to protect her.

His hooves touched the ground, making little noise. Felix's wings felt rejuvenated as they tucked back next to his sides. "It's about time." The 25 year old muttered to himself. He walked into the castle, looking at his surroundings. "Actually, this isn't so bad." removing all of the thoughts of the negative reviews he had read. Advancing towards the receptionist, he asked for a key to his room. She gave it to him, and pointed him in the right direction.

On the way, Felix passed a few friendly looking ponies. But he was too tired to say anything. He flashed a semi-smile, said "Hello" in the nicest tone he could possibly muster, but kept walking towards his room. The hallway seemed endless, and his saddleback was getting heavier at each trot. Finally he reached his room. "Second to last room on the left, guess this is it..." He unlocked the door, and stepped inside. Immediately after closing the door, Felix dropped his bags. His back felt relived. He jumped onto the bed, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
