Applejack, morning surprise

One morning Applejack woke up and was looking for her hat, stranegly it was on the floor she looked in it and jumped up in surprisment. This is the REAL gift for Clarity. I spended maybe an hour on it, and I was tired so, it's not perfect

not bad, really. You know from first sight what the picture is meant to express.

There are only a few parts you could put a bit of work in/ point out better: like, the eyes are a bit close together and the mouth looks like you look at it from the profile while the whole face is meant to be a half-front view, and the ankle of the left leg seems a bit too far...

 

the more you could probably make it look much more alive if you add shading (on the body and on the ground)

 

Of course I don´t know how long you are drawing, and those things are only meant as tips and it is really not bad, so keep it up!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I was just really sleepy and yea I had to finish this today. hah, I know not all people like it, buuuuut You can't do anything about it >=3 hahah, anyways. I hope you liked it

My pictures must all be dead then. Except that one digital art of two yoshies stargazing, but that was an exception.

 

Anyway.

 

It took me a while to realize that the gift is INSIDE the hat (not being the hat itself), and I'm confused by her hind legs being so high up (is she in bed, seen from above?). The forelegs also look short in comparison to the hind legs, and there's that perspective problem Your Friend/Yo Dawg pointed out.

But if you keep drawing, you'll improve.

Practice, practice, practice. Oh, and time. The two not-secrets to success in art (and a lot of other fields).
