I NEED HELP!

Now then, this is an odd thing to ask for, but I am in desperate need of a name for my latest OC (my personal favorite thus far). She, basically, reprosents all desireable sin (lust, envy, vanity, ect) which plays a large role within my story. Her talent is for the arts (song, paint, ect) and she has a very bipolar personality on occassion. I don't have the refrence with me currently, but I was thinking perhaps you could just throw sume ideas around untill I color and upload her? I also need some possible color scheme ideas for her.

 

Interesting Facts:

 

* She is a unicorn

* She has paws on her back legs

* She is ADORIBLE

* She is capable of using her music as way to lure victims (siren's song?)

* She has a swirl-shaped scar on her right shoulder that actually seems to be appart of her markings

* Her markings (cutiemark) consist of a paintbrush, several elaborate designs, paint, and a few random musical notes.

* She occassionally wears a ribbon wrapped and woven into her tail

* She has an odd horn shape

* The pads of her paws are multi-colored

* She has an almost innocent apperance at times, but can also appear quite mature

* She doesn't actually know she's beautifull, but is secretly obsessed with her scar (obvious reasons I won't mention) and can be very envious of others, even though she sometimes presents it in the form of compliments

* Despite all of this, she is evil and very complex

* She has a generally calm personality towards others, but can be very grim and morbid

* Basically, she is FAR to complex to explain here

Um..I either combine words of whatever their special talent is, use something completely unrelated, or come up with a name. (My OC Pale Camera is an exception, I used a name generator then created the pony).

Yeah but....I have so many different OCs it becomes hard for me to name my characters. I also kinda dislike the random name-combinations that are FAR too close to their cutiemarks. Ponies are born without cutiemarks afterall.

Because of the representation of sin and seduction i would call here either Eve like the story from the bible (no hating its just a reference) or i would call her Circe or Calypso ( the two seductresses from the Odyssey)

Ah, I like both of those suggestions (though I think Eve would be a little too....ironic for my taste). I'll have to think about it, but thanks for the suggestions.

 

I can't seemto find a name that truly captures her essance. So far I've found:

 

Iris (too common)

Eris

Adra

 

I think I like Eris best, but I still need some more suggestions.

I think Eris is very good. I actually have a character I named Eris *laughs*

The name suits your character very well, since she is the goddess of strife and chaos.

Or Invidia (simply Latin for envy).

Allright,

i'll go with Eris then

 

Eris reprosents death (made some changes) and Alora now reprosents life. Ironic really, because they're best friends that come from the same realm (it's a bit complicated, not sure if I shoud consider then sisters or not).
