Yeah, I'm still interested in joining. I can start this up as soon as you're ready. In that time, I've joined another RP, so I know the jist of this now.

 

You seem to have an interesting character. To be so young, yet so world weary, it's tragic but badass. Sword and shield is also a nice combo that offsets my dual-wielding rather well.

You didn't fail at anything! I just want to get to know who I'll be working with a bit before the real adventure begins. My posts were merely observations as to how appropriately diverse our skills seemed to be.

-Whoops, forgot to add our version of Daring Doo.

 

So . . . . when exactly is our que to meet up? You made the premise clear. (Wonderful idea to use a news broadcast. That framing device doesn't make the presence of far-flung adventurers being in Ponyville so contrived.) We've established our characters' motivation to get to the bottom of this, for reasons of personal loyalty, curiosity, responsibility, etc. Given the "audience" an idea of who we are. Now what? I guess I'm really asking if it would be all right for me to enter the scene, as it seems I'm the only one who had to travel a great distance to get there. (Why is Ponyville the ONLY place bronies wanna live? No love for Canterlot, the pony version of MINAS TIRITH!)

Well, Addem's work and life revolves around magical energy. He uses it to power his machines and his home, and to aid him in experiments. Living in Ponyville with Twilight Sparkle, he's got a continuous source of magical residue (magical energy left behind from spellcasting). Were he to live in, say, Canterlot, the energy thrown off by the massive unicorn population, not to mention the two beings that effortlessly control the sun and the moon, would completely override his capacity and probably end up killing him.

He owns a cottage in Ponyville because it is close to the Everfree Forest, a place of mystery, and it is close to the center of Equestria without any hassle of easily coming and going. I've always thought that since it's just a normal town close to the ground, one could come and go as they please, unlike Canterlot, which is on a mountain as well as being the capital. Technically, Lapis does not have a home anyhow.

(First off... @Harmonic Revelations, , you are not RPing the marauder. I am. But this is a nice touch, and furthers my storyline, so I'll let you get away with it, but never again.)   A masked figure watched the scene from a rooftop nearby. He sighed, apparently appalled, and, with a golden flash at his waist, leapt over the house with two wings out. He dropped what appeared to be a water balloon down onto the house, and it reacted to the heat and expanded.   Yet... a silver sword fell off of his back. It landed- blade buried in the dirt- down in front of Harmonic. It clipped one of his hooves, drawing blood, but a bit of extra pain was all that was needed to disable the spell. The warrior glided out of sight, towards the Everfree Forest... and Blackwater.   (Tada! 1: Harmonic's reward for guessing the speakers. 2: A tantalizing hint. 3: Ending a disaster before it happens. Like a good DM.  Sorry if I got a bit too invasive or overpowered.)

It was a normal day for saffy just walking over to rainbows house when a figure appeared knocking her to the floor.

She got up shocked and scared she ran until she could run no more. She was nearlly on the edge of cloudsdale.

Her wings were damaged so she would fall. She had to think of something. But then the figure came with alot of speed and smacked off of cloudsdale with his sword. She though it was the end and it probaly was.... She shut her eyes tightly. Her ings hurt and her hooves and lower back were numb.
