gaming Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D vs original

I have always loved zelda, really ever since I could hold a controler I was playing zelda games...

My absolute favorite Zelda game would have to be Ocarina of Time. It truly is a timeless classic in gaming history.

Now, Im sure you all know about the 3DS version of the game, and I am sure all you zelda fans have played it...

This thread is to ask of you fans, which do like best? Original Nintendo 64 version? or the new 3DS version?

While the new game has many improvements to it, I find myself missing the 64 bit graphics that I grew up with, along with actually having a controller. I also don't like how the notes for the ocarina in the new version aren't the same.

Though I must admit, that the ability to go and fight the bosses again is a really cool new feature. And like when in the water temple, you dont have to keep pausing the game to switch your boots.

But still, I actually prefer the Original version... so what do you guys think?

3ds version is better to me. Not only are the graphics fantastic, but the item and equipment system was much better. It especially made the water temple much, MUCH, less annoying.

And yes, fighting old bosses is an awesome feature.

I got used to the notes not being the same pretty quick actually.

Surprisingly, the graphics were a turn away for me... as I stated before, I just really missed the 64 bit style.

I am still not used to the new note system...

I prefer the original version.

Did you notice that they actually made the game easier? On my nintendo 64, I actually spent one hour in Water Temple just to find that there was some tunnel under the bloc. On the 3DS, it freaking shows you where it is! Also, there are stones that tell you how to do everything in the game so people don't actually have to think anymore.

I actually like the 3DS version but nintendo 64 is a classic man... Also, I liked the controller very much too.

Definitely the old version.

Of course there are my nostalgic reasons (it was the first game I beat without any help from my brother *laughs*), but I prefer the feeling of a real controller in my hands.

I never finished the 3DS version (I played it on friend's 3DS as I don't own one) but from what I did see they seemed to make it easier. And I don't care about graphics, so that has no factor for me (admittedly, though, I liked the old 64 ones).

I don't see how anybody could prefer the original in this case. Ocarina of Time 3D is literally Ocarina of Time 64 copied and pasted on the 3DS with a few new models and updated textures. It's the same exact game, just with updated graphics. Very disappointing considering it was called a 'remake' (it's just a remastered port), but it's inarguable that it's an improvement over the original really replaces it as well (as in if I want to play OOT again, I'm unlikely to go back to the N64 version).
