The plot (detailed)

 

In Equestria every pony - unicorn, pegasus, earth pony, even alicorn - stores one kind of bacterium that helps the body obtain and distribute all the necessary energy they need to live. Due to a strange radiation this bacterium starts to mutate and doesn't perform its task any more. First of all the unicorns started to lose their magic, later the pegasi became to weak to fly. When the earth ponies also started to become unable to grow food, scientists finally found out the reason and did research on a way to work against it.

Their first success was a device that was able to stop the mutation on one pony. The biggest problem however was that this device had to be active all the time, and building one of these devices for every single pony would need years - the scientists think that about one year is left for the ponies before they grow too weak to live.

But the scientists found out a second thing: A slightly manipulated version of the bacterium easily becomes immune to the radiation. However, the bacterium can't be added to living ponies, only unborn ones can obtain it. As there hardly is enough time to raise a new generation of ponies, Celestia re-activates a project she had stopped a while ago: cloned ponies that grow adult within a few weeks and live like normal ones later. They can be equipped with the manipulated bacterium, and they are Equestria's last hope...

 

 

The plot (short)

Due to an unknown radiation, all ponies in Equestria start to lose their power, their ability to fly and their magic. If they don't find a way to stop this, Equestia is going to die within one year. The only hope Celestia has are cloned ponies that are immune to the radiation.

 

 

Important notes

You wake up in some kind of incubator. You are able to speak and walk, but you can't remember anything from your life (that hasn't existed yet). You don't know why you are here, who you are, not even where you are.

The pegasus characters can't fly securely at one, but they will be able to learn it soon. Unicorn characters can't control their magic yet, but that also only is a matter of practice.

I am looking for a co-leader I can lead the RP with. Please contact me in person if you think you want to and can do it.

 

 

Fighting system

There will be fights during the RP, and there will be a system for the battles to be fair. It will be introduced as soon as battles occur in the RP.

 

 

The rules

-Powerplay is not allowed. Even though your characters aren't going to die all the time, every character is vulnerable and has weaknesses.

-Do not play other characters than yours. That includes reactions on your actions. There will be several NPCs you are allowed to play if necessary; those will be announced.

-Please write in understandable English. It doesn't need to be perfect (my English isn't as well), and as long as everypony can understand you without having to read everything ten times, I won't say a word.

-When writing direct speech, please use colours for the speaking characters. When signing up for the RP, you can choose a colour to write with. (I will use this one.) The normal describing texts should not be coloured.

-Please write direct speech in bold and thoughts in italic letters. I think it's easier to understand then.

-Have fun! I don't think I need to explain this, do I?

 

 

The characters

As all the characters start without any backstory (like new-born foals), the normal character pattern is hardly going to work here. All ponies physically are adults, but they haven't lived before. They are able to speak, walk and even think, but they don't remember anything. Thus I would like you to add this character sheet to your sign-up post:

 

Name: Your character's name.

Species: Earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns. Please add "male" or "female"!

Appearance: An image or a detailed description. (The Pony Creator on DeviantArt is a good place to create your character's appearance.)

Abilities: The following stats go from 1 to 10. You can give away 20 points.

-Robustness

-Power (earth ponies only)

-Magic (unicorns only)

-Wingpower (pegasi only)

Yes, there is no "personality" or "Strengths/weaknesses" part - mainly because the former doesn't really exist yet and the latter is covered by the ability points. Play the personality you want your pony to have and have fun!

Exactly^^ As I already mentioned, using the normal template wouldn't work here that well due to the lack of background story and established characters. I know it's kinda special, but that's why I do it^^

I can see that! No need to make excuses, I'm all excited to think up a super good pony for this! It may have to wait a bit (working on a pony for a different RP) but I will get to this as soon as possible. And meanwhile, as I said, I shall be brainstorming!

 

Couple of questions: I'm new to MLP Forums and, as such, do not know how to do formatting and such. So, how do you bold and italicize so that I can do it properly when the time comes?

Second question is, are you gonna be making a clone, or are you going to have some uber-important character who knows stuff and guides the clones? Or both?

Formatting isn't that difficult. Bold text works like this:

[b]Text you want to see bold[/b]

Italic text is as easy as bold text:

[i]Text you want to see italic[/i]

And the same for underlined text:

[u]Text you want to see underlined[/u]

Otherwise you use the non-editor mode, mark the text and klick the italic button^^

 

I will play a clone as well, and I'll play NPC characters as they come. (Celestia will be one of them.) I won't stick to these NPCs for long, though, I'll mostly play the same way you do (plus starting events). My character won't know anything you don't.

Robustness is like strength and health.
