Well hello everypony. My name is Gabriel Galbraith Vixen (obviously not my real name as I only give it out to ponies whom I know and trust). I am a 24 year old father of two, and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I have a certain mental/intellectual/social disability known as Asperger Syndrome, which for those who does know what it is, it is a form of Autism, which means that I often tend to do things on impulse (i.e. say or do something without propperly thinking it through first), which can tend to get me into trouble, so if I do or say something that offends you, or you deem inappropriate, please bear with and forgive me, as it would not have been my intentions at all. Alognside with my Asperger Syndrome, I also suffer from Anxiety and Depression, just thought I'd let you know. I am married to a beautiful woman (who is 41 years old (17 years older than me)) and we are both Jehovah's Witnesses (my wife being a baptized publisher and myself being a student Jehovah's Witness). I love making new friends, but due to my disability, i find it rahter difficult and when I do make them, I also find it even more difficult to keep them. I was a member of the Bronies Australia forum, but left due to the level of immaturity (yes I know I should expect it from a fandom of a show meant for kids), and the level of hypocracy and foul language that was happening on there. My favorite ponies are Twiligh Sparkle and Princess Luna, as I kind of relate to them. Well, I think that is all I can really say about myself, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them, but please keep them tasteful. Like I said earlier, I like making new friends, so if you want to add me, please feel free to, but I do prefer if we got to know each other a bit first.... Thanks! You Have Aspergers to!!! So do I!!! And I totally know what you mean when it comes to impulses that you just don't think about or tend to care about until it happens. I've had a lot of crap blown in my face before because of it. Also I have an ex termly hard time making friends, especially after they know im a brony. Astral Empyrean 136 November 19, 2012 Share November 19, 2012 Thanks bro, Yeah, one of the reasons I left Bronies Australia was because one of the mods who claimed to have A.S aswell accused me of using my disability as a crutch, when I mentioned on the forum that I have A.S and I tend not to think things through, which really upset me, as ever since I found out about my A.S, I've been doing my best NOT to use it as a crutch (also that two of my ex's apparenty have it too, and they used it as a crutch for everything, including acting/behaving extremely immature (one was 1 year older than me at the time (21)). I don't use my real name on forums anymore, due to a serious issue that arose a few years back from one or two of my exs (if u wanna know what it is, ask in PM, as I'm not sure it would SFW), and once again, thanks Will add u as a friend now I agree. I HATE using it as a crutch. In fact i dont. I want to be though of as a normal person to. And I dislike it when people throw it in my face as away of saying your strange or wierd or we just can;t accept you.... WHY im a person to! I just think differntly! Astral Empyrean 136 November 19, 2012 Share November 19, 2012 To me there is no such thing is "Normal" there is what society proclaims to be the norm, but everyone person/pony is unique in their own special way.You will find that those who claim yo uare using your disability as a crutch or that you are "strange" or not "normal" because of your disability, are just ignorant and like most religions who are against Jehovah's Witnesses, they don't know much about them, they are ignorant of what it's all about, and because of that they are scared of it. They hate on you and they discriminate against you. I know. In this world there will be no peace. There will only be war, fear, and hatred. Our place is determined by who we are how strong we are physically and mentally. The effect we can make on the people around us. Kind of like how a countrys worth is determined by how big their military is, how deep their resources go. But I know that people only look down on others through their own arrogance and stupidity. I have realized that people are the most dangerous thing in existance. Because entire nations have been leveled by belief and strive for wealth and power. But we have no choice not to be among those people. And that a true friends worth can only be determined by their loyalty, honesty,kindness, the laughter they share with you, the generosity between you, and then that magical little spark that holds you together. As long as you treat everyone with respect there more then happy to do the same! I have great respect for people who live with disablitys. GuillermoGage 246 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 I don't get this whole Asperger's craze. I was diagnosed at age nine and reminded again at age 15. More recently, my ma had been believing that it was a recognizable disability that could be used to get government help, job placement, and welfare checks. I have yet to have been shown actual science that "my brain operates differently", and I have yet to have been shown that my social skills are not instead held back by obvious environmental situations such as moving around many times in my life and not being allowed to go places after school or during the summer, during my school age years.
