CrystalRose 636 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 I painted the first one for my sister when it was her birthday, and I'd never drawn pony art before. The second picture I drew a couple of days ago, and I've had virtually no practice inbetween. I only used references for Rainbow Dash's flank and for Pinkie in the first one, so the poses might be a bit off. Once I get the hang on FiM style, I might try incorporating my own style more into my pony fan art. Any comments and critique would be appreciated. I'm always sad at how the scanner washes out all the colour. I wish it looked as good online as in real life. Dumb weak colours. 11 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
Dusty Soul 2,611 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 These are awesome! The first one is magnificent, especially for a first. Then the 2nd one is pretty awesome as well. I dunno something looks off about the eyes, in the 2nd one though. 2 Soundcloud-------------------Facebook---------------------------Youtube

And that was also a nice gift to give your sister Not to mention the improvement between the two with like no practice is quite astonishing! Great job! Whoops Wow those are pretty amazing for your first ones! I think your well on your way to becoming quite a wonderful artist! Thank you so much ~ I just did an art trade with her today actually, I drew Applebloom for her and she gave me a drawing of Angel. This was my part of the trade: I love art trades. I'd like to go in the Art Swap thread but I don't have an OC 1 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
Vinyl Scratch (Filly)™ 936 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 Very good! You are very talented. I like your art style. Its ok to use references as long as you don't trace, which I don't believe you did. These are very good, keep it up 1 My OC's Viola Soulstrings Solar Ray Miles Check out my FIMFiction account ^^

I think I need to reference more, I hardly referenced anything and most of my poses are quite boring as a result. I think I should practice more interesting poses... Also I love your sig! 20% cooler 2 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
Tdroid 234 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 These are very good, you should definitly keep drawing(and painting). And it is impressive that you managed to make them so good with barely any reference at all 2 I like to do requests. Please, if there is something you want to see me, an amateur, draw for you, just send me a PM with the details and I'll say yay or nay. Most likely yay. Negative 67 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 They're pretty adorable Great skill for a first timer, I was drawing stick ponies first but I've improved since, and you will over time, too I like the shading in the mane and tail a lot if i say so myself. 2 Negative
NeverPony 274 November 21, 2012 Share November 21, 2012 I'm always sad at how the scanner washes out all the colour. If it bothers you, then you should bring the color back in an editing tool. It's an extremely uninvolved process. Reduced brightness, increased saturation, and sharpened image in GIMP. 2 ~ Sometimes when it's windy, I stand outside and wait to be carried away ~
CrystalRose 636 November 21, 2012 Author Share November 21, 2012 Ooooh that's a great idea! Thank you so much! It looks so nice like that, the colours really pop! I have GIMP but I never use it. I'd love to start drawing on my computer but it's so hard with a mouse... ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~

Lol that sounds cheap I know, but I cant seem to draw well at all Awwww thank you very much! Whilst I use online tutorials for things like fabric (ugh I find drawing fabric so hard) and hands, when I draw MLP I literally just put on some episodes and go for it. I just draw what I see. Just practice will make perfect <3 I also started this today: It's for my sister again. I draw so much stuff for her. I think I just love getting requests. I'm going to colour the rest of it later, maybe tomorrow because I have to work now. 1 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
