LAN party advice

Hi guys today i am going to a Lan party that my friend are holding and i just want to know if you guys have any good games to recommend. :3

 

We are going to be about 6 people sooo it would be fine if there was some games that supports playing with 6 players

I have 2 suggestions.

 

1. Try to be as close as possible to the router for the least amount of lag.

2. Games? Try Shell Shock Live! That's a good six player game.

Console or computer? Going to play Online or System link?

And bring a few good movies as well. Playing games all night long will get boring.

Also, TONS of candy.

isn't it kind of late to be asking for game recommendations the day before a lanparty? well if you're into the whole real-time wargaming thing i can safely recommend company of heroes.

 

for long drawn sci-fi space battles go for sins of a solar empire.

 

of course a lanparty will never be complete without FPSes. any of the call of duty series, counterstrike, battlefield 3, bad company 2 all come into mind.

 

if warcraft is your thing, there's DoTA and DoTA2.

 

assuming everyone's rig is beefy enough, crysis/crysis warhead multiplayer is actually kinda fun. you can do crazy stuff with nukes and all.

 

this list is hardly exhaustive, but wouldn't your friends have an idea of what they want to play at a lanparty?

 

unless of course if i misinterpreted and you were actually looking for *free* lanparty games, then i assume there's world of tanks, and team fortress 2 which is great as well.

 

finally like vicke said, bring movies and snacks, you'll need a break from gaming from time to time. also playing cards if they're your thing.

Well yea we have been playing counter strike allot and we have been trying mw2 cracked witch is a lot of fun

yea i would love to play warcraft but non of my friends likes it

And TF2 is always a favorite

Food, lots of food, and a variety of games that everyone can play.

 

My suggetions on what games to play would be

 

RTS: C&C Generals, Age of Empires, Company of Heroes, Starcraft I/II, Warcraft

 

FPS: Any Battlefield, Any CoD, Quake, Unreal Tournament, actually, any fps really.

 

Co-op: Killing Floor, Left For Dead, Torchlight 2

 

But it's really up to you and your friends to decide which games to play, play games that you all like and you're bound to have a great time.

Left 4 Dead versus is amazingly fun! 3 on 3 is something i highly recommend!

Halo Wars is a lot of fun as well. But i doubt that you have 6 copies of it. and 6 consoles.

I have tried all of them (Except Left 4 Dead Versus and Dayz) And that are the games i normally plays

But i don't think that anyone except me want to play Warcraft and Age of Empires

I remember there was a LAN party a eurogamer (There were 6 old TV's and they were playing halo 3.)

But games that I find fun to play in groups would be any halo game.
