Evergreen went to take another sip of her punch, and realised that she was out of punch. Dipping her head politely and excusing herself, she got up and made her way over to get some punch. As she walked, she looked around. Two ponies were starting to slowdance, and the mare had a mischevious air about her, as if she were doing something taboo. A colt was sitting in the corner, looking disappointed. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and walked right into somepony. As she pulled herself up, she noticed the puddle in the floor. Uh oh. Well, at least her mane was dry. "I'm so sorry," she said, helping the pony to her feet hooves, not realising it was Arrowleaf until she had gotten back to her feet.

Arrowleaf was just about to go back to Silver Mane when somepony accidentally bumped into her. "Oh its no problem...I guess we could call that revenge." She giggled as she stood back up. 

She brushed herself off and picked up the plastic cup that had fallen to the floor. "Your name is Evergreen... Right ? Im not very good at names."

Sky cheated and used his magic to make it look like he was floating while dancing. Sky then caught Cloud Puff looking at Krystal and his memoires of himself and Krystal's nights together came flooding back. He then shook those thoughts out his and took his dance moves up a notch to impress Cloud Puff.

While silver mane was having a conversation with... Himself he noticed some pony bump into arrow leaf he started to get up to help but the other pony beat him to it so he sat back down and continued * you need to act quicker next time, right there's two ponys having a dance... I've got it when she comes back... If she comes back ill ask her for a dance what could possible go wrong*.

Somber's good mood had dropped to... Well, just being Somber. He was really happy to be talking with an old friend... And, well, he wasn't good with making new friends..

 

Hey, you couldn't come up with anything else to talk about! You might as well head back to the closet. At least you were satisfied there than in here.

 

He got up and headed back in the direction of the closet.

Evergreen smiled. "You guessed correctly. Yep, I'm Evergreen. But you can call me Eve if you want. Everypony does." She refilled Arrowleaf's glass with water. "Sorry I just walked off on you earlier. That was kinda rude of me." The Star Rose wilted, somewhat remorsefully.

* ok so silver you have a plan you've possibly got the courage now all that's left is for her to trot back over* he then noticed the colt of the two that were dancing floating, seeing cheating made laugh a little in his head and made him slightly less nervouse, his hoofs were slightly sweaty though, he then took anoughther ail of his water and looked back at arrow leaf and gave a small smile.

"Oh it was no problem." She smiled and took her water. "So...Eve, You like gardening ?" She asked, sipping her water. *Finally somepony else who gardens...In all the years I have lived in ponyville...I have met very few ponies who look at gardening like an art." She thought.

* ok ok she's having a conversation with anoughther pony, there's nothing to worry about its going to all be perfectly fine, I should stop this I'm starting to sound like that weird pony who whent in the closet * he looked around to see if any pony else was dancing he couldn't see any * right its ok just stick to the plan don't go crazy over this its all fine * he the looked around again to see if any of the colts looked as if the wanted to make THE MOVE on arrow leaf... Like he was trying to do.

Ragnar was taken aback at the numbers.  "#17...in all of Equestria!?  That is amazing!" thought Ragnar.  Once again, he felt his fear creep back inside of him.  His knees grew week, and he began to sweat.  He replied cautiously, "I-I t-think that I h-have heard of that book."  He picked up a napkin from the snack table nearby, and wiped his forehead.  

 

"I a-am a historian.  I love history," Ragnar replied to Marisa's second question.

Somber had made his way back inside the closet. There was possibly no way he was going to show his face back to the party. The same clothes he laid under were like he left them, as he hid himself inside the pile. Who needs a pony to talk to when you got clothes?

"Oh, yes," Eve said, as a smile spread across her face. "I pride myself in my gardening, actually. I have most plants found anywhere in Equestria, and several that aren't in my garden. It's my whole life, that garden," Eve said proudly. "What about you? What kind of plants do you keep?"

"Well...Sadly I don't have enough bits to own a garden in or near town...So I keep all my plants at a grove deep in the Everfree forest." Arrow smiled. "As for plants I keep...I don't even know, I have so many I cant really keep track of it." She giggled and took another sip of her water.

Eve joined Arrow in giggling. "Because who needs numbers when you have lots and lots of plants?" 

 

After she calmed down, she refilled her punch and took a sip herself. "You go to the Everfree Forest regularly? You probably walk right past my garden every time you go." She smiled.

"No way, That's your garden ? Everytime I walk by I cant help but look at your plants...their beautiful." Arrow said happily. "And... Is that you in the garden ? You're always covered in dirt." She giggled. "Not that that's a bad thing...In fact I think its a good thing." She smiled.

As Somber was hiding inside the closet, he peered at the items inside. One of which happened to be... a guitar? He picked it up and strummed it, hearing it was deafly out of tune. After a few good tweaks here and there, he strummed it again, hearing a melodic cadence come loose from it. As he was under the clothes, he kept strumming, while making up random chords and lyrics.

, Marisa raised a brow, his knees were trembling and he was sweating. "That's cool. And are you okay? Was it something I said?" she asked, she had never gotten a response quite like this from the mentioning of her book, maybe it was just some condition and everything was okay.

Eve smiled. "Yes, that's my garden. And I feel naked right now, without my healthy coating of dirt." She grimaced, and shifted uncomfortably.  "Feel free to visit next time you pass by. Maybe I can make some tea." She flashed a smile at Arrowleaf. "I've got more than enough ingredients dried out for some."

Arrow smiled. "I would love to stop by for some tea... And aren't we always naked ?" She chuckled. "Why don't we go sit down." She said, Trotting over to the couch and sitting down. "Oh, Silver Mane, I dont know if you two have met or not but this is Eve, Eve this is Silver Mane." She said.

"C'mon Ragnar, get a hold of yourself," he thought, trying to regain his recently lost confidence.  She had noticed his nervousness, and he needed to show that he was in control of himslef.  He wiped off a little more sweat with the recently picked up napkin.  "I'm fine, I've never met a famous author before, and I guess I'm a little nervous, " said Ragnar.  After one final, aggressive, shake, he was back to his normal self.  At least for the time being.

Eve smiled at Arrowleaf's humor, and followed her over to the couch, where she introduced Eve to what looked like an experienced royal guard out of uniform, based on his mannerisms. He was quite a handsome fellow... "It's nice to meet you, Silver Mane," Eve said quietly, extending a hoof to shake.

How do you earn bits?" she kept questioning him, she wanted to know more about this pony. Honestly, he was kinda cute, nice and smart. But Marisa had gone through enough failed relationships, she didn't know if she wanted to start another...

Eve chuckled. A slightly sinister air was hidden behind the laughter. "The Everfree doesn't give me problems. I got noisy neighbors, and even when they aren't being noisy, the plants can defend themselves. I keep a few... ah... carnivorous varieties to protect the rest. And I can defend myself all right."
