Timeshift, of course, passed out after putting herself through a magical surge like that. When she woke up, of course, the prisoners were gone. Not really a surprise. Time sighed and ran into the library as fast as her legs could go, and threw herself onto the bed, instantly falling asleep.

Sky Warden smirked, "Nah. Ye know. Greed, stupidity, like I said before". He took a sip of his coffee and glanced around. He took everything in his gaze in a weird way. The scenery itself felt weird after all. Many ponies, sitting in a hall with many wounds and scars, chatting with the other as usual. "Well, our life feels more interesting this way right?" He laughed.

Red and Standoff walked through the streets, trying to figure out where the weapon salesmare had hidden the shop this time. "So, how about that weird lizard thing? You figure it was going to try and back up all those lofty claims?" "Pfft. Zat sing vas built like a few pretzels schtuck togesser vis gum. Of course not."

Rainbow Dash glanced at her watch. "Let's see... thirty minutes?" She shrugs. "Come on guys... we gotta move!"

"Oh, brilliant." Rarity sighs.

 

On the outflanks of the city, Rainbow Dash stops her patrol. "We're going to give Ms. Spy 30 seconds to get in." She pulled out a flashlight and blinked it twice to the east. "OK... here's the plan. Since we're here, we need to achieve two goals. There is a supplies depot to the north of our current location. Let's take that to start. And then, we need to scout out weaknesses in this area of Ponyville."

 

Two flashes of light meet Rarity's eye. "OK, then... we need to get inside and rescue these ponies in... 20 minutes." She shrugs. "Not the easiest task, but a decent one to start. OK everyone... follow me, and be quiet..."

Saphina giggled when the two stallions filled the atmosphere with laugh and stared at Verdana as he devoured a cupcake, "Yes it is. she's very good at baking. I guess I want to learn Pinkie Pie style too" she giggled again, "It seems like you adore her very much Verdana".

The moment Vedana heard those very words, his yellow coat turned red from his severe blushing and stuttered. "N-N-N-N-Now H-H-Hold it!! J-J-Just because I--I-I-I-I adore her, I mean it a-a-a-a-s a friend! yeah that's it a friend! hahahahahah!!" The blind unicorned attempted to make an excuse, but ti was clearly obvious he is indeed a bad liar.

Sky enjoyed every second of Verdanas awkward moment with a smirk on his face. He stole some glances at the giggling Saphina and stifled a giggle. He sipped his coffee and winced when the bitter warm liquid entered his mouth. Still with a smirk on his face, he turned to Verdana, "Well, that revealed one thing".

As Konami trotted toards Rainbow Dash, she lighted her horn, levitating herself for a few inches. "Dang it," Konami whispered, "Why can't I get this right?" she asked, as she neared her objective. "Konami, ready to fire. What's my mission for tonight?" she asked, as Konami stood firmly.

Inkscape's hooves were absolutely tingling with excitement, as she followed her company behind Rarity. She had to hold back a girlish squeal of excitement. "Oh this is so exciting. It's just like those spy books I used to read as a filly, except only now, it's me!" She giggled "Oh, this is so much better than writing reports all the time!"

"This depot has supplies, duh. But what exactly, Twilight wants to know." RD turned to Konami. "Hello, there. I would like you to take three ponies and follow Rarity for a bit, and then wait at the intersection to meet with us." She turned to the others. "Alright, you guys, we regroup at the intersection across from the depot. Wait... 4... 3... 2... 1... Go!"

 

Rarity stopped at a wall. She dug through her pack, then withdrew a grappling hook, slinging it over a wall. "Up and on, fellows. The rooftops are the best place for a thief or a spy." The group started over the wall and onto the rooftops.

"T-That reveals nothing." Vedana pouted looking the other way, nibbling on the cupcake. "I am a unicorn of peace and maturity, such nonsense as this is-is-is foolish." The blind unicorn continued turning his head to Sky Warden. He always seems to fall into a 'teasing trap'.

Sky Warden snorted "A mature pony of peace but can't control his own emotion in this kind of situation". Actually he was a little bothered by Verdanas word that love is a kind of nonsense and foolish, but he was just too lazy to get mad about it. He took another cupcake and devoured it in one bite. He kept that large bunch of food inside his mouth for a pretty long time, just like usual.

Rarity stopped at a wall. She dug through her pack, then withdrew a grappling hook, slinging it over a wall. "Up and on, fellows. The rooftops are the best place for a thief or a spy." The group started over the wall and onto the rooftops.

Inkscape followed Rarity up and over the wall. It was easier than she expected it to be. All of these errands must have really gotten me into better shape than I originally thought, She thought to herself, hoisting herself onto the roof. Her heart was pounding in her chest, but not out of fear, but due to the excitement of the whole thing. "Where to now?" She asked in a low whisper.

Salem was carefully following the two mercenaries, when he heard something echoing from above. Light Hoofsteps on the... rooftops.

 

The lizard smirked to himself, before slinking out of the fading light and scaling one of the walls. He quickly lay flat, watching the small group move past. Ponies...

 

Salem slunk after them.

"You again?!? You just lost me some rebel spies!" Salem exclaimed, allowing his anger to overcome him.

"I did? Oh, did I? Good job me! However, I did tell you not to move. Get over here." Standoff pelted over the roof, examined what was going on for a split second, and landed on Salem again, hopping off before anything could happen. "Do you sink anyvone vould miss him if I schtabbed him?"

Timeshift finally woke up and realized her horn was badly damaged. Figures, she had never stopped time before, it was a bluff. And it really took a lot out of her. When she stepped out of her door she saw some ponies. She grumbled and walked over next to salem who was having a rough time. She grinned.

 

"Well, look how the strong have fallen. Tsk tsk. Anyway, Standoff, have a blast trying to kill him. You may wanna kill a changeling who reall dislikes Chrysalis while you're at it...."

Timeshift finally woke up and realized her horn was badly damaged. Figures, she had never stopped time before, it was a bluff. And it really took a lot out of her. When she stepped out of her door she saw some ponies. She grumbled and walked over next to salem who was having a rough time. She grinned.

 

"Well, look how the strong have fallen. Tsk tsk. Anyway, Standoff, have a blast trying to kill him. You may wanna kill a changeling who reall dislikes Chrysalis while you're at it...."

(We are on a roof, smart one.)

"Red, hold him still." Red locked Salem's arms behind him, taking care to avoid the pointy bits. Standoff hauled off and punched Salem in the jaw, steadied him and then did it again on the other side. "Now stay the hell out of my sight!" Red tossed Salem off of the roof, and then they resumed looking for the weapons store.

Timeshift grumbled and decided to just grab some weapon that she could use that wasn't her teeth. She hated her fangs and she wanted to be in the library in peace, but their was a 100% chance they'de go into the library so she needed a form of weaponary.

Red followed, did the same, and received a new knife. "Fun. Vere to now? Zat library?" "Okay, sure. Wasn't that changeling running the gig the one we're being paid by that Sparkle filly to bump off?" "I believe so. Shall we?" And they set off.

Rarity was about to answer Inkscape's question when she heard a slither of scales, and then yelling. "Move along, guys. Now."

When they were out of sight, she turned to Inkscape. "Where to now?" She pointed to a large, vault-shaped building.

 

RD made it halfway up the street before being noticed. She was noticed by a changeling patrol, she managed to knock them all oout, but they were able to sound the alarm before. "Ah, buck. MOVE, EVERYONE, MOVE!"
