(Practise Animation) Princess Celestia

And that took far too long, but I haven't done animation on not pixel art (desktop ponies) before. Plus I'm animating in Photoshop cos Flash hurts my brain.

 

Any suggestions / ideas that aren't realated to the line under her horn, the fact I'm too lazy to animate her tail, and jittery shading?

HOW IN THE WORLD, DID YOU GET THE PICTURES TO ANIMATE D:

Whenever I try to post an animation (gif file), you have to click on the picture to see the animation.

But that's  a nice basic animation.

Here are my suggestions:

 

Make her a bit taller.

Make her less fat xD (mostly near the chest)

 

That is all.

Oh and I love it. xD

I love the blue line around the mane for some reason.

I also like her facial expression, it makes her really adorable as well.

Photoshop or GIMP work well. It's basically drawing images on top of one another, and then letting the programs do the work of running through them really fast.

 

With either program, you draw an image, create a new layer, draw a *slightly* altered image, create another layer, etc. When you're done, simply save it as a .gif file and you're in business.

 

And to the OP: it looks great! Celestia seems a tiny bit squished from the sides, but that's a minor detail. Nicely done!

What that guy said. I draw all my layers in Sai, then animate them in Photoshop. Generally free deform works well to do gifs like this but I drew each frame seperatly.
