"Oh... That's a nice gesture. I really couldn't count what I slept on as a bed... Just a pile of leaves... Doesn't help much with the wind blowing them away, or bugs getting inside them... Not the best choice for winter... Or summer... Or, well, any day of the seasons. At least the tree is comfy...ish."

Electro Dash grinned "well you dont have to worry now do you? Just image it. A warm blanket, a large comfy bed and soft fluffy pillows to rest your head. Seems great dosent it? Sadly I wont be able to escort you home, but if you can get some paper and a quill, i can write tge adress. Also, I adopted a child six years ago. Shes fifteen. Just tell her you know me and tell her that shes gunna be a chef."

Fuse looked to a clock, seeing it was already lunch time.

 

"Hmm... 12:15... That must mean lunch.. The schedule here is a tad confusing.", he softly said.

After grabbing some extra bits from the bank Flame ran back to the store. "Ok...This is the only time I will pay this much for a bracelet so I hope Rag likes it." He muttered, Dropping the big bag of bits onto the counter. "Here you are sir." Said the pony, giving Flame a small box. "Thank you...Have a nice day." Flame smiled and trotted out the door.

 

 

Diamond ran back into the office and sat down. "Well...Here you go." She said, Holding out the tea. The Circus master took the tea and took a small sip, He smiled. "That truly is some of the best tea I have ever had...You can start tomorrow, The circus gets twenty five percent of whatever you make." He said, holding out his hoof.

Diamond smiled and shook his hoof. "Thank you very very much." She said.

"You still haven't told me why a beautiful alicorn like yourself would be working in a circus..."

"Oh...I don't like the rich life...Adventure and fun is where my heart lay's." She said, Picking up the tea.

"Well, You will be sure to find that here." He smiled. "Have a good day Ms. Diamond."

"You too." She smiled and trotted out back towards Rag and Tags trailer.

"A drawing," she said, automatically again.  Oh sure.  A drawing.  Of course you're working on a drawing!  "Of an eye."  Now you sound weird.  "For practice."  Good.  You finally got it right.  Chamois didn't make a move to move her notebook towards him.  She continued watching him carefully with one eyebrow raised questioningly.

Sand was outside in a small group of bystanders, watching a child play darts at a nearby booth. Thus far, for four out of his five allowed shots, the little foal hadn't mananged to hit a single target. With only one dart left, the little guy decided to go for bust and aimed for the hardest target, hoping to win the best prize. Sand felt a little bad for the kid, who had put up his own money and darn well tried his best at the obviously rigged game. It was like the game where you had to knock over the bottles with a ball, except the bottles were glued together and taped to the counter. As the dart flew from its owner, Sand let just a tiny amount of magic flow from his horn. It was so small that it could not be noticed under the thick hood he wore with his cloak. A small puff of wind made the dart move an inch upwards and to the right, landing it on the farthest edge of the desired target.

 

A a minute later a baffled clerk handed over the kids prize, a stuffed lion toy that growled weakly when you squeezed it. While the kid set off bouncing to go tell all its friends, the clerk inspecting the target board, wondering how a random foal had hit a moving painted circle only two inches across. Before he noticed Sand, the Alicorn was uncermoniously dragged aside by a boisterous and loud earth pony. The stallion's soot grey coat flexed as he pulled the alicorn along, mouthing off all the while. "Here ye are, my best o' friends and ye don't even say a bloody 'ello to your pal! What kinda world is this huh? You think ye'r such a tough guy that ye can't greet ye'r buddy Coal Duster!"

 

The earth pony's voice was gruff and had interesting highs on certain vowels, akin to what we would know as a New York, New York tone of speech. "Lemme have a look at ye! All cloaks and daggers n' all that jazz still? Darnit Sand, can't ye ever ditch that getup of ye'rs for two minutes straight?" The continous monolouge was drawing attention, which Coal Duster was absolutely oblivious to. "Come on now! Show me what'ye got! Put em up!" Sand smiled weakly, balancing on his hind hooves and making a few shadow jabs with his forehooves to satisfy his old friend. "There ye go! Just like I taught ye! Now come on bud, tell what the biz is." Sand plopped back down on all four hooves, his hood falling back in the process.

 

"Well...," he said slowly. "It's been alright Coal. I haven't been around here lately. Really, I only was able to stop by because this was the last stop that my train pass would get me to." His friend stood there dumbfounded for a second, his lips moving slowly to map out the words in his head. After letting him simmer for a minute, Sand burst out laughing. "Aw hay Coal! You fell for that one last time I was here. Come on now, PUT EM UP!" Taking the good natured jab in stribe Coal Duster copied Sand as they both repeated the process Sand had completed earlier, even putting in a couple of dodges for laughs. Settling down again, Sand chuckled before continuing. "I'm actually here because of some work. I was employed processing cherries until yesterday. They're all done for until next year. So I might have to move on soon."

 

Coal seemed a little disheartened at this, but soon piped up. "Ah well," he said with a smile. "Least I got to see ye while you were in these parts. Say, can ye keep up on 'er deal?" Sand seemed a little reluctant due to the watching ponies, but eventually his friends urgings made him cave in. "Alright Coal, I'll do as I promised. Show you some new trick I learned since we last met and in return you give me lessons right?" Coal Duster nodded his assent, grinning widely. Sand held up his hoof, daubing a little red coloring on his pack in two spots, the front of the hoof, and the next joint up. Holding his hoof straight out, Sand seemed to focus for a moment before he began. Slowly, without magic, his entire lower leg seemed to move, the red dot he had drawn completing a full circle around his hoof. Meanwhile, the one on his joint stayed completely still. This drew an audible gasp from the watchers, amazed at this trick.

 

Coal looked at his friend with an open mouth. "I admit thats pretty marvelous Sand. Can you do another? I sure would appreciate it." Sand sighed before complying, washing off the ink from his leg and hoof. Focusing again, his upper mane slowly began to grow from its normal shagginess, curling up to form a puffy afro. More applause was arising from the audience, so Coal prompted him one last time. Meanwhile, the afro slowly disintigrated into dust, pooling around Sand. Initial reluctance was met with staunch cheers for encores from the growing crowd. Sighing, he pulled off his cloak for the final trick. Underneath was a leather jacket, with two zippers along the sides. Undoing these, Sand fluffed out his wings, startling several ponies nearby. Holding up his stiff wings for all to see, Sand focused once more.

 

Wings typically were straight with some curves added. But as he strained, the tips of his wings slowly began to bend back towards his shoulders, making the feathers look like a complete circle. Most expected it to stop there, but the bending continued. It is a little hard to describe what happened next, but to wingtip complete its rotation, appearing to never have moved at all. Looking exhausted, Sand was escorted into a nearby restroom by Coal Duster. "Darnit Sand, why didn't ye tell me ye were gonna do somethin like that? Could'a hurt yerself." Sand fell down onto his stomache, groaning. "I did hurt myself Coal. All that, it has a cost. I have to reset my body to before I did any of that, or it'll hurt me badly." Coal gasped, lost for words.

 

A burst of magic later and a sickening crack, Sand was normal but completely wiped. Coal threw up in a nearby stall. "Con-SARN-it Sand! Don't you do somethin like that again! I don't care 'bout any deal we had! I can't ask ye to do somethin like that!" As both stallions lay on the floor, shivering, they began to chuckle softly. "Yeah Coal, that was pretty stupid of me." Silence followed for a moment, until Coal Duster spoke. "Don't do any of that stuff today Sand, but maybe ye should ask the Circus fer a job. I'm sure they'll love ye."

 

Indeed, a roving talent prospector sent an urgent message to the Circus's office, telling all about Sand's performance and his talent.

(OOC: I'm in line at the movies. I'm gonna see the Hobbit with my dad. So... It'll be a while.)

 

They laughed together. "No, no, no," Tag said, smiling. "We've talked it over, and decided it's okay for you to move into the spare room." "If the Circus master lets you in, that is," Rag finished, as Tag hurried back inside to fetch the tea sample. Moments later, he emerged again from the trailer, grasping the sample. He offered it to Diamond.

 

 

"Well..." Descant started, uncertainly, "I don't see why not... Did you have something in mind?"

"Well... Would you, uh... Want to go on the Ferris wheel? I've always liked going on those... I was going to ask another pony yesterday... Before he became a jerk and left with another mare..."

 

Rockshire kept shaking her head from that thought. She didn't want to revisit that memory again...

 

"So... How about it?"

Rag and Tag smiled identically as they saw Diamond approaching happily. "Well? What did the circusmaster say?"

 

Descant grimaced. The ferris wheel, again? He sighed. "I don't much like heights, but... Okay,  I guess." He and Rockshire entered the Park, and started making their way to the ferris wheel...

 

"Oh yeah... That's right. I forgot you weren't a big fan of heights... But, if you want to do something else, then that's also fine... It just sounded like a good suggestion in the first place... I'm horrible with ideas... Oh no, I'm rambling again, I'm really sorry Descant..."

 

Yep, it's official... You still got feelings for him.

After a moment, Rag withdrew from the hug, allowing her brother to have Diamond to himself, and lead her inside to show her the room.  She sat down in front of the trailer, getting lost in a daydream...

 

Tag lead Diamond into the trailer happily, and opened a door on the right near the entrance. The room inside was unadorned, and empty apart from a queen-sized bed and an ovular mirror hanging on the wall. It was about the same size as the main room and the room the twins shared, but felt larger because it was uncluttered by the random assortment of objects around the other two rooms. Tag smiled at Diamond, and gestured around. "This is yours, if you want it."

 

"Uh... Well, it could be entirely up to you... I'm fine with either of those...", Rockshire mumbled out.

 

Well, there. You still like him, but he must have his eyes on another pony. What are you going to do now? You can't just kiss him and expect for him to come crawling back to you.

"Lets do the Dodgem cars," Descant said decisively, and lead Rockshire over to the short line that had formed there since the park opened. He could tell Rockshire was lost in thought, just by the look on her face. But he chose not to ask about it, and instead let himself wonder what Electro Dash was up to.

Diamond's smile widened. She looked at Tag and kissed him. "Its more than I could ever ask for." She hugged him tightly. "But now I bought the weeks pass for nothing...I don't need it anymore." She giggled.

Rag blinked, and smiled at Flame Dancer, who had approached without her noticing. "Oh, hey, Flamie. I just got carried away thinking."

And I was just wondering...Maybe you would want to come listen with me ? Right after the performance is a firework show...But we don't have to see that if you don't want too, The fireworks start very late." 

 

 

"Thank you so much Tagy." She said. "It was rather strange...When I Was talking to the circus master he seemed to be really interested as to why I would want to work in the circus." She said, Trotting over to the bed and sitting down. She looked at Tag and patted the spot next to her then fell onto her back.

Rag smiled, and nodded. "I'd love to go with you." She pulled herself back out of her daydream, and poked at his hoof with her own. Still smiling, she looked up at the sky, scattered with puffy clouds.

 

Tag was puzzled about the Circusmaster's behaviour, but wasn't so blind as to ignore Diamond's obvious invitation. He walked over to the door of the room, and closed it, before he joined Diamond in the bed that was now hers. He looked into her eyes, and thought he saw a mischievous twinkling within them. He smirked, and moved to kiss her passionately.

Flame smiled and looked up at the clouds. "The pegasai said there would be rain day after tomorrow but apart from that we are going to have clear sky's for the rest of the time we are in Ponyville."

Rag smiled. "I've always loved days like this, though. With the big puffy clouds in the sky. My brother and I used to point out interestingly shaped clouds, and say what they looked like." She pointed. "That one looks like a rabbit."

An eternity later, or perhaps it was just minutes, Tag emerged from under the covers, panting heavily, with a blissful look painted on his face. Diamond truly was an amazing mare... And he had done his best to make sure she had enjoyed their time, the two of them, hidden away from the world, just as much as he had...

"Wow, cool! If this just practice, then the rest of your art must be amazing! So how have you liked it here at the circus  so far?" he asked in a friendly manner. He continued to smile, realizing he had been a bit too forward in their first conversation, and wanting to make a good impression.

Diamond kissed Tag on the cheek then lay her head on Tags chest and closed her eyes. "That *Pant* Was amazing." She said.

Diamond kissed Tag on the cheek then lay her head on Tags chest and closed her eyes. "That *Pant* Was amazing." She said.

Rag felt Flame put his arm around her as she opened her eyes. She grinned. Smooth move. It took her a moment to find it, but when she saw the heart-shaped cloud, she smiled, and kissed him on the cheek. "That's really sweet."

 

 

 

(OOC: I never expected to be involved in a time skip. But I don't suppose this one counts. They started off in a relationship. That's sort of cheating.)

 

Tag smiled, looking fondly at the mare who rested on his chest. He stroked her mane gently, and whispered happily, "And we won't have to wait weeks at a time to do it again."

 

(OOC again: Gonna go pick up one of my friends. We're hosting a New Years' Eve party tonight. So... There'll come a point where I can't post as often.)

Rockshire looked back at Descant, blushing a little. "No, no, I really prefer that you take the driver's seat... I'm not well with driving..."

Diamond nodded. "I am so excited...I have never really done a whole bunch of traveling...I mean, I did travel to Manehattan once...But that's not as exciting as this." She smiled and kissed him again. "I should probably pick up my stuff before the show...I can't wait to see you perform."
