movies/tv Justice League Movie

I'm not sure if a topic like this exists yet but I want to get peoples thoughts on the upcoming Justice League movie which is suppose to come out in 2015.

Now hear is what we know so far, on June 6, 2012 Warner Bros. announced a new live action Justice League film was in development with Will Beall hired as screenwriter.

Everything else is rumors with some of the big rumors being The Superheros, The Cast, The Plot, and if they are going to act like the existing DC movies exist. Hears a link to check out all the rumors. http://movies.cosmicbooknews.com/content/excusive-justice-league-movie-character-info-darkseids-elite-lois-lane-alfred-and-more

The big question is will the movie be great or will it suck. I feel like the movie could be great if they handle it properly what they need to do is drop this 2015 goal and aim for 2017 and take their time with the material. I would really like to see them do what they did with Lord of the Rings where they filmed all three parts at once and made it one huge epic this could be one of the greatest franchises of all time if they respect the source material. Or this could be one of the greatest let downs in all of movie history if they rush it just to make money.

I'm not a big DC fan, save for Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, so my heart would not be broken if a Justice League movie came out and bombed. I will say that the challenge will be twofold: escaping Marvel's shadow and running up against Avengers 2, should this Justice League film come out in 2015. Regardless of the release date, any big DC film is invariably going to draw comparisons to The Avengers; and since that was so incredibly successful, anything less than a mind blowing experience will likely be seen as falling short in the eyes of most people.

The Avengers was a high-wire act, given the fact so many large personalities were on screen and expectations were meteoric. A large portion of The Avengers' success can be owed to its strong predecessors. Without introductory films, so to speak, a Justice League movie will be forced to cover introducing all of the big names in the DC universe. Such is not an enviable task.

If they pull it off, more power to them. I'd go see the film if it were said to be worthwhile. I am incredulous about its success---especially since recent DC movies have been lackluster when Christopher Nolan is not involved.

I would be curious as to this as well. The Dark Knight Trilogy was incredible, but their Green Lantern movie was rather disappointing in comparison. My interest in the project might hinge on how they pull off the upcoming Superman film. Do we know which of the other heroes they are making movies for before the crossover? I'm not a big comic fan in general, and when I am I'm generally more of a Marvel guy but I think that it could be good. I can't predict the quality without seeing them pump out some more good superhero movies beforehand though.

The big rumor going around is The Man of Steel is going to do something similar to what Iron Man did and have a lead in to The Avengers. The other rumors are that they are going to have the Green Lantern movie be canon but he will be more serious. It sounds like everything else wont be tied into their movies but take it with a grain of salt.

How exactly do you make a movie about the Justice League though? It's just, as characters they are far two-dimensional to create a deep sense of excitement or relevance. Besides Batman though, but that's a whole different thing all together.

I don't have a good feeling about this one. Compared to The Avengers, it seems much more rushed in its production development. IT's like DC went, "Oh hey, the Avengers is making all the monies, let's cash in!"

Marvel announced plans for The Avengers all the way back to 2005. That's seven years of work. Justice League, more or less this year, three years just isn't enough time.
