Oh look a bed and what a nice bed it was. But why did she take him all this way to show him a be-   oh no. After her playful little wink it all began to sink in. Star felt every organ in his body churn all at once, his head beginning to give mixed messages. He honestly didn't know what move to make next; the options being go along with it or run home.

 

He gambled it all, returning the affectionate smile. He leaned it and engaged her in another passionate kiss, instantly begging to dart his tongue into her mouth. He pulled back a second, letting his adrenaline have the last word. "Whenever you're ready." He wasn't and he knew it, but he was in no position to refuse.

((I had to try very, very hard not to lol at that first line.))

 

Star seemed especially eager... All the better! She loved everything to do with the pony... "I'm ready now," she said, and there was something... primal... about her voice that affirmed the statement. She sat on the edge of the bed, and kissed him so very passionately... Drew him close to her, waiting...

Hop paused to think, "Im sorry Aarod but I don't think I can say the same. Well not yet anyway. But even if we don't end up going out can you promise me to stay my friend, im still afraid." she said with regret and sorrow. She felt bad for him and really wasn't sure what to do.

 

He sighed slightly. "Of course we can still be friends. But if I may ask, why are you scared. You don't need to answer if you don't want to." he said. he looked back at the ground. He liked her a lot, but what was he to do if she didn't like him back. There was nothing he could.

"Im scared of being left and abandoned. That's why Im not sure if im ready for an actual relationship... but I guess I can try." she said as she nuzzled him with a hint of sadness. Hop then leaned in a gingerly kissed him on the lips. she closed her eyes and savored the moment.

He kissed her back, then after a few seconds pulled back. "Trust me hop, I would never leave you. You are the most beautiful mare I have ever seen." He said, then leaned in and kissed her again. He was still scared she would leave him right then he would never get her back.

Chaser Wing had concealed himself in the shadows, listening in on their conversation. He had moves away to give them privacy. He was not upset at all. In fact, he felt pretty upbeat! "At least you're happy. That's what counts!" he said to himself, walking away to the refreshment table with a grin.

Quip slightly frowned as the fireworks died down, coming to a stop. "Ah, oh well. Guess the fireworks ended. Doesn't matter though, i got to watch them wi-" he was cut off by the sudden rupture of what seemed like a bazillion fireworks and colors. "Oh, derp. I forgot about the finale"

Star leaned in and kissed her passionately again, but the gnawing at the back of his mind was nagging him to stop. This had gone far enough as it was, Star was losing himself to his emotions. He pulled back, catching his breath.

 

"I think this may be a bit too fast... don't you think? I-I'm just not ready for that yet..." He sunk his head, embarrassed. "Honestly, I'm sorry. I can't."

 

((OCC: Well, I'm back. I'm getting very little time to post though with all that's happened in the last week. With work coming up soon I'll have even less time. Honestly life is being a bit of a bitch right now.))

Peachy smiled at Quip's reassurance. "Thanks ah guess i do think of mahself a little too negatively sometimes." Peachy was very surprised at the finale of the fireworks. "Wow this is even better than the fireworks at Fillydelpia!" She said although the booming of the fireworks drowned out most of her voice. As the finale finished Peachy turned to Quip. "Well now that the fireworks are over what do ya want to do now?" She asks him. "Uh ah know this is kinda random but do ya got any relatives?"

Quip smiled at the mention of relatives, he cared for his parents quite a lot. "Yeah, my parents live in ponyville, i don't talk to them much anymore since most of the time i'm in my shed making fireworks or out and about doing stuff. My dad is a fire knife dancer and my mom is an illusionist. I was unlucky enough to end up with my dad's gene's and became an earth pony, makes it a lot harder to make fireworks. You can't do everything with a simple levitate"

Cascade pulled back slightly, and gave the stallion a bemused look. She must have read him wrong... She sighed. "It's okay." She climbed out, and sat on the opposite side of the bed from Star Keeper, looking away from him, embarrassed. "I was getting ahead of myself anyways. You wouldn't want..." She forced herself into an uncomfortable silence.

Star felt guilty as hell, knowing that he may have made the wrong choice. But he couldn't, it just seemed wrong. He did love her...  but this was moving at a pace he had not known. He turned and sat next to Cascade, feeling a bit worse about himself. "I-I'm sorry. Just little old me too nervous to do anything. I thought I was being more outgoing, but I'm just a coward at heart." He rested his head in his hooves. "Sorry for ruining your evening."

Cascade sighed, and couldn't bring herself to meet Keeper's eyes. Not that he was looking at her, anyway.

 

However, with his last, gloomy statement, Cascade couldn't help looking up at him somewhat sadly. "Why would you think you ruined my evening?" She moved her hoof gently onto his, hoping he wouldn't overreact to the contact, and said, "I'm not upset, you know. We all move at our own pace, and frankly, I've spent so long waiting to meet somepony in the first place that I don't mind waiting a little longer for that somepony to be ready."

"Both mah folks live in Ponyville too so chances are they've probably seen each other before since Ponyville is kinda small." "Ah visit mah parents and old friends from Fillydelpia every now and then ta catch up." She remembered her now deceased sister making her frown a bit.

He didn't really care which they did, he was just happy to finally be with her.

Peachy agreed with Quip. Earth ponies were in fact somewhat treated like underdogs. "Yeah ah have ta agree with ya right there  we are kinda unappreciated ,but think of it this way; Without us Earth ponies ta make the food the unicorns and pegasi would die from starvation." She explained. "Besides your talent makes you unique in a different way than a regular Earth pony."  " Ah'd like ta see a pegasus or unicorn do what you just did with your fireworks show." Peachy chuckled before going up to Quip to nuzzle him affectionately again.

@, Quip nodded, but it didn't change his view on earth ponies. "But I don't know how to grow food, or to make... I know i'm not useless though, I can make fireworks" he said with a shrug. "Anyway, I think its about time I head home. I hope to see you soon Peachy" he said and got up, he looked down at Peachy one last time, "Real soon..." he said before taking his leave.

Cascade sighed, and gently, comfortingly, and almost absentmindedly, stroked a hoof through Keeper's mane. She was lost in thinking about a thought that had suddenly occurred to her. Just do it. No. He'll freak out. Just do it. No. He'll walk out. No he won't. You can't prove he will. Just show him what he wants. I can't. He'll leave me. He's so sensitive... And I've never been with anypony as great as him...

 

Hesitantly, she said, "Well... Maybe I can give you a reason to want..."

Hop had a hard time saying the words but she knew what she wanted to say and hopped that Aarod would finish it for her.
