"You know Hirue... I feel like we're forgetting something important." Butajiri said as he sat on an old couch.

 

"Something about the meeting?"

 

"Meh, they werent talking about anything important. Just a.........." Butajiri stood up almost zombielike from his seat. "Damn it, I forgot the assassination! I swear to God this is somehow your fault, Hirue!"

As Lenny walked through the streets he noticed a car being escorted by two military vehicles. He started to follow the cars from being, trying to blend into the crowd on the streets. Lenny palmed the pistol in his right holster as he walked, wondering if anything exciting was going to happen soon.

"Oh, I know there plenty more powerful beings such as you and me around these parts," Tartaros said as he assumed a less feral stance, standing upright.

"So you have no exact position this city's mess huh? Not a good idea to run around and flaunt your powers to cause havoc. I assume that's in your nature, but really you'd just be attracting hostile attention from the government, and if they get you it will not be fun."

Tartaros remembered the plan to assassinate the speaker, and immediately prepared to swing off.

"Interesting event today, you know about the senator's speech? Go to itif you want," Tartaros said as he prepared to spring into the air.

Shell heard cars just outside the building, but he could tell by the pitch that they weren't going very fast. He got up and motioned outside, "I'm going to see whats going on, not usual to have cars around here" he said before heading to go outside. "Whatever babe, knock yourself out" she said without paying attention to what Shell said.

 

He reached outside only to notice three cars, two seemingly armored and one more fancy designed. There were more people wandering the street than usual, but one of them seemed 'un' usual. Dress was standing out like Shell does, but not in the same way. Most of the people ran away as soon as they say Shell, not like he cared though. A few people exited the armored cars and pointed designed sticks towards him. "Put your hands in the air!" one of them yelled to him. "Why? I don't see the point in such a move" the man looked baffled, but he shook his head and yelled some more. "To surrender! What do you think?" Shell sat down and smiled, "I have no need to surrender, if you throw those sticks, your going to be in for a surprise"

Eos and Fenyw had to move quickly, before reinforcements came. Absorbing her matter into the door, Fenyw turned the knob on the other side, and they burst into a cramped room-with another door.

 

Several doors and much cursing later, the two exploded into another tiny room. However, in this one, there was a book.

 

"Ennill," sang Eos, and Fenyw nodded and said "winning" as well, this time in English.

 

Fenyw disabled the security system and the two fled the scene, the job being much easier expected. They saw Diego and Tartaros outside and froze before booking it past them as fast as possible, clutching the tome.

Tartaros climbed up the building where the assassin would be located. It did provide an excellent view of the street, being able to spot the oncoming official's car and the rest of the procession from way far off. He detected the scent of Weiss and another stranger whom she seemed to be guarding, as well as the scents of other rebels.

"Seems like there's no trouble around, for now at least..."

Tartaros still couldn't shake the feeling that something was up though.

"Why not?"

Tartaros looked around for Night Hawk and found him, where he then leaped over to the building from where he was watching everything.

"Sorry to sneak up on your little I Spy game, but I think I should advise you recheck everything to make sure all is in order, quickly of course."

He wondered if he should somehow delay the arrival of the official long enough for them to do what was necessary, if they decided to listen that is.

Night Hawk jumped back, surprised   "who are you??" Night Hawk asked he didnt know how to react to an unknown creature leaping behind him and suddenly talking to him

 

the officials car continued on and drove onto the street, it was now in view of the sniper

*Weiss looked down at the official's car through a pair of bonoculars, an her eyes widened. She hadnt been told that is was that particular official.*

 

"I have the shot. Firing when ready."

*Weiss lowered her bonoculars and hesitated for a second.*

 

"Take the shot"

*She said in a pained voice. Jackson pulled the sniper rifle's trigger, firing the bullet and sending it on a collision course with the official, or more accureately, with Weiss' father.*

Lenny heard a gunshot in the air. He acted quickly, putting his suitcase on the ground and opening it. He assembled the rifle frantically and attached a odd looking scope onto the M1 Grand too. He picked it up and started to look through it up towards where he thought the shot had been fired from.

the official went down, and out of sight once the bullet hit him, the military vehicle in front stopped and elite soldiers poured out of it the car with the official started backing up, the millitary vehicle behind  backed up as well and and those 2 vehicles drove off, the military vehicle that stayed ejected a turret on top and  it scanned around

 

Night Hawk heard the shot and saw what was happening

Suddenly Eos' voice crackled to life from loudspeakers in the street.

 

"There is no need to fear, little ones," she boomed into the chaos. "Your friend will be given the best medical attention, I daresay. You, on the other hand..." She laughed. "I make no promises."

 

The line went dead and everyone was silent for a few moments, until the ground beneath the military vehicles exploded.

He ran into the street. Dozens of guns turned on him but he pushed his hands out, freezing everyone in a forty foot or so radius. He grabbed the official, who was coughing blood, and bolted, speeding up time around himself so he moved more quickly until he had disappeared from view.

Suddenly Eos' voice crackled to life from loudspeakers in the street.

"There is no need to fear, little ones," she boomed into the chaos. "Your friend will be given the best medical attention, I daresay. You, on the other hand..." She laughed. "I make no promises."

The line went dead and everyone was silent for a few moments, until the ground beneath the military vehicles exploded.

"I think we missed everything, Butajiri." Hirue said. The two demons were perched atop the roof of a dinner, watching the chaos.

 

"Oh really?" Butajiri said sarcastically. "I thought the explosions and gunshots were just the pregame show, but if you say..."

 

"You know, youre really mean sometimes."

Diego was about to make a sarcastic retort, when Tartaros swung up into the air. He saved it, filing it away for future reference and decided to make a move. He was in position when the explosion happened, thinking back on the two figures he'd seen earlier, running past. Why bother making explosions just for the sake of it? It seemed so stupid, so unsubtle. He had other thoughts; seeing as there were now exposed wires, it was a shame not to make use of them and snatch up those who were still alive after the explosion. He laughed insanely, throwing a hex so that the wires rose up and strangled the survivors.

"Of course!"

Tartaros snarled in anger. Now he knew why he had felt uneasy from the start of a supposedly simple mission for the rebels. Eos and her allies had planned to sabotage everything from the start, and while he was glad he didn't take part in her so called deal, he had to think about things later. After the explosion, a surprise was held in store for the survivors; stray wires coming to life and strangling anyone within their reach.

Tartaros leaped down to the pavement and formed sharp blades from his giratendrils, and then began to cut through the wires to free the trapped people.

"Some 'order' she bestows upon us! All they care is for their own benefit!"

The soldiers freaked out and started shooting randomly

 

Night Hawk jumped down and helped tartaros free the bystanders

 

The rebels retreated into the sewers and headed to base

 

The Rocketeer called over radio to Weiss "you and Jackson return to base"

"Wonderful, now we have MORE opponents to worry about," Tartaros said as he freed the last of the bystanders.

As the soldiers started to fire their weapon, Tartaros sent out many tendrils from his symbiote to disarm them and prevent any more death, especially ones caused by collateral damage.

"As if we didn't have enough problems to worry about huh?!"

Tartaros then decided to follow Night Hawk to their exact base, with intent of officially joining the faction.

*Weiss heard the message to her from RT and picked up the radio. She paused before responding.*

"Understood."

*She said through gritted teeth.*

 

"Hey, everything alright?"

*Jackson asked her sounding concerned.*

 

"No. Lets get back to base."

*Weiss responded. The two of them quickly packed up the sniper rifle and made their way out of the building. They snuck through the back allies on their return to the base without being detected. When they arrived back at the base, Weiss grabbed RT's arm and began pulling him towards the back room.*

"We need to talk."

*She said coldly.*

*Lester looked at the destruction with confusion. What was going on? He had heard the explosion from Weiss' apartment and left to investigate. He had also stopped in a cloting store and bought a hoodie for the hood so it could cover his face and prevent him from being recognized by any guardsmen at the scene.*

"The hell is happening?"

*He said. His head began to throb in pain again, but it was different this time. Sharper.*

"Rrrgh....."

Night Hawk led Tartarous to the base, "so umm, who and what are you exactly?" @, 

 

 

the rebels entered the base, their chatter inditacting feelings of celebration and confusion

The Rocketeer stood by then Weiss came in and pulled him aside, "is something wrong?"@,

*Weiss flipped down her hood and looked at RT. Tears were streaming down her face.*

"I have a question for you. Why didn't you tell me that the official we were assassinating today, WAS MY DAD?"

*She said angrily. She was obviously upset. Even though he was the enemy, Sasha loved her father. Or at least, she used to. And her memories of the past was what kept her going.*

"It's kind of simple to explain. Ever heard of the alien race simply known as symbiotes? I am a human, bonded directly to one of the creatures."

Tartaros jumped up to the ceiling and hung upside down as he explained.

"Technically you could still call me human, but not entirely. The symbiote and I have a strong bond, it has basically merged itself fully to me, an ultimate genetic bond."

"<Also different,>" the symbiote growled, "<Is that our bond is truly symbiotic. At this stage, and pretty much any stage before this one, others of my kin would desire to fully take over their hosts. Not me. He provides me with all I need to survive, and I do the same.>"

Tartaros considered showing his regular form, but decided to do that later once he saw they could be trusted fully.

The Rocketeer had a sad tone "i...i had no idea, i was only told that a high ranking official would be coming and that he didnt take the rebellion seriously, as most of the goverment doesnt, we were sending a message to the goverment, i am sorry...but, i dont know if this will make you feel better...but we have a report that the official was snatched up by an unknown figure, and was seen alive, but barely" he sighed he took his helmet off and looked at her, "i am sorry, if i had known who it was, i would have risked a live capture" @, 

 

Night Hawk, looked up at him "alright, well um dont show off like that infront of the regular troops, not right away anyway, youll have to understand, it might freak them out, a lot"  @,

Tartaros nodded and then jumped back down and stood upright.

"Don't worry, I won't go off devouring anyone here... except maybe those so called 'rebels' who use this cause to justify sordid acts such as rape and murder of the innocent."

"<So, what else are you planning. Do you know who was it that sabotaged you mission?>"

Night Hawk sighed "i have no idea who tried to sabotage our operation, no one but us was suposed to know about it, and that voice on the speaker, i dont know what that was about, im not sure weather this was a success or failure" Night Hawk opened the secret entrance, "oh one more thing, we have a super in here that will process you, make sure you have good intentions, nothing personal just a safety precaution"  @,

"I saw."

*Sasha said referring to the figure that had taken her father away from the scene.*

"But who knows what will happen now. I know mom will be devastated. I should pay her a visit."

*Sasha flipped her hood back up and began to walk out.*

"Im going to go talk to Lester. He's sure to be awake by now."

*Weiss then made her way out of the base, walking past NH and Tartarus, not even acknowledging them being there.*

Weak. So Fragile. So Pitiful.

*Lester did not know what these voices were. They sounded familiar, but strange. Filled with a lust for power and destruction. It made him uncomfortable. He clenched his eyes shut and wished he was somewhere else, and when he opened them, he was back in Weiss' apartment. Lester looked around in confusion.*

"When did.....?"

Night Hawk looked at Weiss walk off "and that was that super...umm she looks like she needs time alone, ill escort you in" @,

 

 

 

The Rocketeer sat in the back room and put his head in his hands, he sighed heavily, he hated that he didnt get all the information, he then thought of mounting a capture of the official, it was the least he could do to make it up to her
