ooc Winter Resort Romance and Slice of Life

Let's get this out of the way, here are the rules.

 

Rule #1: No Alicorns.

I know this rule seems draconian, but alicorns always end up hijacking the plot and becoming the center of attention. Speaking of hijacking...

Rule #2: No hijacking the plot.

We don't want there to be a main character. Everyone should get their chance to shine and/or get together with someone. It's no fun watching some Mary Sue get the hot mare, save the world from destruction and become king of existence.

Rule #3: Only use ponies that could realistically be in the show.

No, you can't be an alicorn. No, you can't be a fallen angel with a light sword and a destiny. No, you can't be a Mary Sue, or have weird eyes, or weird wings, or any other sore-thumb of a feature. (Also, I'm not saying you can't have big wings, or two different colored eyes, just not "Laser-x-ray eyes" or "metal steampunk superwings") Griffons, donkeys, exceptionally tall or short ponies, ex-military, LGBT, all fine, in fact, encouraged, but remember, this is a slice of life RP.

Rule #4: No major action scenes.

Now, I'm not saying that we all have to be pacifists. That would be absurd. Small squabbles or hoof-fights are fine. What I AM saying is no city-wide epic battles, or face-offs with the dark-warrior from legend. SLICE. OF. LIFE.

Rule #5: Don't "overuse lemons"

In the past, this hasn't been a problem, but I'll take a preventative measure anyway. In an RP, lemons are like rocket launchers. A powerful tool, but one that you only use when needed. In another okayish analogy, overuse lemons, and the RP becomes sour. (For clarity, using lemons means the same thing as "taking a tumble in the hay") Also, KEEP IT SFW. I cannot stress this enough. Innuendo is about as far as you can go unless you want the thread locked. So, for emphisis,KEEP IT SFW.

Okay, here's the OOC page. I noticed that we have slightly more stallions that mares. I think it won't be a problem, but it could be.

Could make things interesting though. Two stallions liking the same mare, getting into fights over her and stuff, you know? Though you're right, it could be a problem later on.

By my count, we need 1 or 2 more mares. By the way, It's all sorted now. Stallions on top, mares on bottom (No, there's no symbolism there, that was just the most convenient way to do it) Oh, and for Mortimer, I thought it could start at the train station/blimp/carriage ride there. The OCs could meet each other while split into the three aforementioned groups, and meet other ponies at the resort. That way no one's pressured to say hi to six different ponies right form the get-go.

I will also be taking the train. I happen to love trains as well, having rode the Metro many times to go to various places in D.C. We could all meet by huddling in the same, comfy building during the raging blizzard that blocks the road!

Also, you should really sort out the OCs by gender like you said you would in the previous thread. Night Song is NOT a stallion! Never mind, I see you went and fixed it.

I think he might have meant that they will pick one means of transportation to get to the resort. But if he is deciding to do multiple transports then I volunteer my OC to be the one that pulls the carriage to the resort. If not, then I will more than likely take the train like everyone else.

Basically his name's Ian, he's a young pegasus who grew up in Appleoosa.  His dad was a country singer and musician, a skill picked up by Ian in his foalhood.  He moved to Ponyville after his father passed.

I think this is an awesome idea! We should all arive at different times, check into our rooms, and then when the blizzard hits come down to the commons/lobby to snuggle

Hmmm.... i think my character would fly by herself, not using any kind of machinery to get to her destination. Then she could get caught in the Blizzard and is forced to go down and sleep somewhere until the storm is over.
