Actually, the only thing I need for me to fall asleep is complete silence.

 

I can't do full on silence. I hear stuff. I fear the silent darkness, no matter where it is. Silence is one of my phobias.

 

AANNYWAYS, I tend to fall asleep after listening to soothing music like liquid dub, cowboy music, Susan Boyle, etc.

has to be pitch black, NO LIGHTS what so ever, (reason why it Have 8 lays of tinfoil on my windows, no clocks)

has to have some form of whitenoise (fan runing 24/7 in this case)

has to have a audio book playing in the  background.
has to have weight on the bed. (i sleep with 18 Blankets/Sleeping bags) and my dog sleeps on the bed as well

Can not have a Box Sping or a Spring matters, Has to be some sort of really soft foam mattress u can sink into (kind of like a water bed feel)

can not sleep with some one else in the same bed. keeps me up all night and its the only time that will causes me to sweat to death.

have to sleep with a pillow between my legs. so my kness don't buckle well I sleep, have to sleep next to a wall, on my side to keep my body straight with out rolling or turning over at night. Usually have to be hugging a huge a large pillow as well

 

I suffer for Sleep deprivation/insomnia and after being on sleeping pills for a year they no longer work. if the conditions are not right I will not pass out even if my body wants to.

I have to have a fan on. Dose not matter how big or small the fan is, as long as one is on I can sleep. No fan? no sleep for me sadly, I got that from my father, my sister is the same too! but its music with her.

Over the last few years I've created some pretty terrible dependencies on food and TV before I sleep. Maybe not the best habits to have, and I'm trying to break my habit of eating food before I go to sleep, but I don't think I'll ever stop watching cartoons and anime while falling asleep.

Well, I can take a nap pretty much anywhere without an issue, but when I'm actually going to bed for the night it's different. I have to take melatonin pills, but I figure that doesn't really count. I also have to mess around on my computer for a while, otherwise I just don't feel like it's time to go to sleep yet. Because of that, I often start the process of going to bed at least an hour before I actually intend to go to sleep.

There are a couple of things that I may require before heading off into the land of dreams, such as music. I usually need to listen to at least one song before I can fall asleep. A blanket, or something similar, I just need something to cover me or I won't be able to sleep as easily. Or during the Summer, a fan. I can never sleep otherwise, even if/when the fan starts to make me feel really cold, I can't sleep without it.

I have to have Rannoch, my very special stuffed animal deer. And he HAS to have his special ribbon on or else he not shut up.

I have to have a blanket on me, even if it's 90+ degrees....

I also have to have the bedroom door opened, just a smidge, or else I will have an extremely hard time finding the door knob to get out to go to the bathroom.

I must have no light. If there is any light, I don't sleep well.

 

After being married for 3 years, I have grown so dependent on my husband's presence that I never sleep well if he is not beside me.

well i'll be honest i don't  get much for sleep but when i do i can't go to bed without reading some fan fiction or listen to an adiouo book or to but most commenly latley has been my stuffed animels can't go to sleep without those adorble lil things. and in the dark curled up.
