Lila strolled around the ship, still trying to get used to the layout, looking for Diamond. They said she should be in the captains cabin so thats the first place she looked. Arriving at the door a good amount of fear and anxiety rose up in her, but she took a good composure and knocked. A hint of the fear still lingering in her eyes.

Hypno was slightly concerned, but shrugged it off for now unless it got worse. He still twirled around the locket, trying to figure out if he knew what was wrong, but couldn't put his hoof on it. He's seen worse that what he just saw and some of it what himself doing it so he didn't what to say much about it.

 

Hypno put his hooves up at what Slicer said. "My hooves are clean, I promise." He said as the locket still swirled by the chain around one of his hooves.

 

 

"Uh huh." He muttered, still not to sure about him. He turned to Cascade again. "Do you want some water ?" He asked. *It was that Hypno one...He's lying, Slicer.* *I will talk to him later.* He thought.

Reluctantly Lila opened the door letting herself in. She went and stood in front of the desk. "Im here to get my first assignment, Captain." She said in an almost steady voice. Lila stood there a seconds before deciding to ask a lingering question. "Is all of Equestria going to know about me? Or is this just between us until we dock?" She relaxed slightly asking the question.

As for orders...just do what you can to help around the ship." She said, rolling up her letter and using her magic to make it disappear.

Lila gave simple salute before exiting the cabin, closing the door behind her. She let out a breath she didnt realize she was holding in, then looked for something to help with on the ship. After an hour of looking she came to realzie a lot of the day was double, tripple, and quadrople checking everything non-stop. Lila wished Diamond would have givin her a direct order instead of 'what ever you can find'. *How am i supposed to make a name for myself? Well... I do have one idea... Im going to hand over the idea to Diamond later*

Slicer gave Cascade a worried look. "Are you alright Sugar Bean ? You looked almost as if you wanted to jump." He said. *Ugh...You should have pushed her in.* *Ignoring you.* He thought, taking a step towards Cascade. "Were you hypnotized or something...Hypnotized...Hypno...You didn't do this did you ?" He asked, Looking over at Hypno with a suspicious look.

Cascade pulled herself out of a preoccupied silence. She didn't know Hypno particularly well, but... She didn't think he had done anything to her. It had just felt... natural? She shrugged. "Yeah. Maybe I just need something to drink," she said in a tone that convinced nopony, not even herself.

Slicer nodded. "Um...Ok, stay right here." He ran off below deck and soon returned with a large bucket of water and a mug. he filled the mug with water and gave it to Cascade.

"You almost looked like you were being pulled towards the water...and...you dropped your muffin."

As she did so, a calming sensation spread, and she was suddenly content and clear-minded. And she glanced around, to see that absolutely everypony was staring at her. This wasn't the Cascade they knew. The Cascade they knew never showed any kind of weakness at all, and here she was now, leg visibly bound, and contemplating jumping into the shark-filled water. "What are you all staring at?" I have a list of ships that left Casaflanka around the same time we did...that ship is not on the list...and I don't recognize the name. Take us to it." The pony nodded and steered the Arbitrator towards the unknown ship. "Everypony prepare yourselves for a fight. Just in case." She said to her crew.

Diamond walked out of her room and onto the deck, and that's when she noticed another ship off in the distance. She grabbed a spy glass and peered through. She then looked at the helmspony. "We are on the Casaflanka rout to Manehatten are we not ?" She asked. The pony nodded. "We are...is something wrong captain ?" He asked. "As you know...I am very organized. I have a list of ships that left Casaflanka around the same time we did...that ship is not on the list...and I don't recognize the name. Take us to it." The pony nodded and steered the Arbitrator towards the unknown ship. "Everypony prepare yourselves for a fight. Just in case." She said to her crew.

Lila saw the crew scramble around and heard what Diamond was saying. She went up to Diamond with confidence. "Captain, id like to help with the cannons. If you dont mind that is." Lila asked with a huge grin on her face showing her determination and confidence.

Arcane took a deep breath and smiled. "Its nice to be on the sea again... Darmok and Jilod on the Ocean... Ugh, I need to stop reading so much Cloud Trek, its getting to my head" he thought out loud.

 

Arcane headed below decks, only to spot Enigma at the bottom of the stairs. "What are you doing?"

Hypno stopped swinging the locket for a few seconds. He laid back down onto the railings of the ship and looked out to the island as it slowly drew closer every passing minute. He brought it back out and started to swing it front of his own face, seemingly hypnotizing himself as he softly laughed as his eyes swirled. His fun immediately died out when it opened, revealing the picture inside of it. He slowly closed it and placed it back into his coat pocket with a sigh.

"You can if you want...Its a difficult job. And we probably wont need them. But if you really want too than go for it. Did Grigor show you how everything worked ?" She asked. Making sure her pistol and knives were in her coat pocket...Which they were. "Also...Did you ever get a weapon from the armory ?" She asked.

The only thing is she didnt know how to unload thses cannon since they are front loaders, and the cannons FallenMoon used had rear hatches so they can unload unused rounds. Once she had it loaded she waited for Diamonds command to fire.

Enigma just grinned and looked up at the captain "Checking things are good to go captain, it'd be a real...shame, if things happened to go wrong for us." Never being one to speak much, and even less of one to make sense, Enigma could be confusing at times. The tone of his voice never helped either. "Is there something more productive you would have me do...captain?"

"Uh... no. Not right now. I don't expect anything to happen while were out here, even though we don't know where the Equestrian Main Battleship is. Just be ready for anything. Doesn't hurt to be prepared" he said before heading back to his cabin. He might not have gotten pegasi armies to help, but he did get exclusive pegasus food and supplies.

Still retaining the grin on his lips, he spoke in a quiet manner "By your orders, captain."

He sat down on one of the barrels and took out his blade, sharpening it with a belt that he kept on his foreleg, all the while he was concentrating on the journey ahead, silently reflecting on his many thoughts about it all. 

 

'How difficult was it going to be for him to keep the balance of life and death on this journey?

How was he to know who is to live, and who is to die? 

Was he going to meet with his own fate here?

Was there anypony he was supposed to save?'

 

He shook the thoughts for a while, before trotting up to the deck and looking out over the seas. The salty sea air was cleansing to the senses, but the stiff breeze was cold, and the rocking of the boat made him feel unsteady. He didn't show it, but he felt it.

She knew how to load the cannons before Grigor explained it to her, and being a princess alowed her to play on one of the vessles FallenMoon possessed. She was quiet good at it. Maybe not as fluent as some of the others loading up their cannons but she still knew how to not break stuff. Then there was a loud yell as a large group of ponies came running out of the lower parts of the ship.

They all had guns and swords and were prepared to climb aboard the Arbitrator.

Diamond yawned. "Fire the cannons." She said  casually to a crew member. the crew member nodded. "FIRE." He yelled.

After settling things with his two newest crew members, Rambler headed into the city. He had a lot of important business to take care of before they set off again. As much as he'd like to spend the rest of the day getting drunk, his responsibilities as Captain came first. Of course, that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy an occasional  swig of the pure as he went about his business.

 

The first thing he did was see an old friend about fitting the ship for a naval ram. He had to remove several cannons to balance out the weight for speed purposes, but the tradeoff was worthwhile in his eyes. He also arranged for additional boarding hooks and a handful of more mundane things.

 

Afterwards, he headed to the tavern to probe for rumors that might lead to a big payday. As he entered he heard a familiar raspy laugh and recognized a longtime friend and contact, a crusty old pegasus named Jolly Roger.

 

"Thunderin' Jaysus! Is that you Rog'? It's been far too long, friend."

 

"Aye, but what brings you to Stalympos? I suppose you'll be wanting something from me again, won't you?", Jolly Roger replied.

 

"Krystal retired and left the ship to me. I came here to make some adjustments and see if there were any particularly promising rumors around town. That's why I'm glad I found you, I know you've always got your ears perked for such things. So... what've you got for me?"

 

"Oh, I've got something right good for you boy, but it won't come cheap."

 

Rambler dropped a large bag of bits onto the table.

 

"Aye, that'll do just fine. But perhaps we'd best discuss this somewhere quiet-like. I can't let anyone hear this information without paying for it."

 

(Time skip. The details of that conversation will be made relatively clear later on.)

 

Rambler walked out of the bar, smiling. He was more excited about this than he had been for anything in a long time. But he wasn't sure the Jolly Roving Tar and it's crew could handle it alone. Perhaps he should contact some of the other pirates in the area and get them to help. He had a lot to think about before they could even try it.

 

Now that Rambler had taken care of everything, he decided to wander around the market. Perhaps he would run into Spark, and he could get her opinion on what to do.

Lila let the gunpowder and the cannon boomed an rolled backwards. She watched as bits of wood fly off the ship as each cannonball hit the hull, she quickly reloaded the cannon and aimed it at where she guess their storage was and hopped she hit something explosive. Again the cannon went off, but no big explosion. Fortunatly the ship started to take water along with more volleys of the cannons.

Diamond looked down at Lila. "We're not pirates Lila. We cant just destroy random ships. Right now we are searching for some of the most dangerous pirates...Captain Rambler. Captain Quip. And Captain Wind Slicer. And pirates like these of course." She gestured at the sinking ship. "Those three pirates are the most wanted at the moment." She said, reloading her pistol and placing it in her coat pocket.

Lila pondered this for a second, "Well, i know we're not. I've never heard of the Equestrian navy being pirates. Im sure i can convince you later on it, but ill let you know now they're must certainly not friendly." Lila finished hopping that didnt make Diamomd change her oppinion on her not being a pirate. Now that she thought about it, she could be considered one, and decided to keep her mouth closed from there on unless spoken to directly.

Hypno wondered if they were almost there, he looked almost jittery as he sat there excited for when they would arrive. He still slightly pondered about what was wrong with Cascade a few minutes ago. He shrugged it off and decided it would probably be something they could find out about later.
