Chocolate smiled as they walked through the main lobby, he had grown very close to Blazing Storm through the time they shared together. He hadn't thought about it before, but when they had been together huddled close together in the small generator room  he only now realized that was as close to a girl as he had ever been. He hadn't thought about it at the time since he had been concerned with warming her but she seemed to notice it as well. He felt he was starting to develop feelings for her, and if he hadn't known any better, she did seem to enjoy being close to him as much as he had being close to her.

 

"Thank you Chocolate... that was very sweet of you." she said while entering the resort. Quick she kissed him on his cheek before the other ponies would notice. "A hot tea or something like that would be nice now." Blaze answered him with a low voice while snuggling with the scarf. 

 

 

 He had to lean down so she could reach his cheek when she kissed him. The fiery pegasus seemed to be recovering quickly. He took note of what she wanted to drink and nodded. "Then I will get you a hot cup of tea." He said looking to where the dining area was. "Go rest and warm yourself, I'll return shortly." As he walked to the dining area he touched the spot where Blaze had kissed him and blushed. "What a mare... I've never met someone who could fluster me like this." He said while smiling under his breath.

 

He came back with the hot cup of tea and a few sweetened baked goods and offered them to her while she rested on a couch. While she rested he sat close to her and watched her with his ears flat on his head. "I umm..." He seemed nervous about what he was going to say next. "How are you feeling?" He asked trying to hide his face with his long black mane.

Healing wasn't exactly Storm's forte, so he had spent a fair bit of time walking around the lobby and trying to stay out of everyone's way. He was surprised then, when out of nowhere he was enveloped in a hug by Starshy. "Wow!" he said, referencing her cutie mark, "Its beautiful!" Healing really was an amazing talent that just added to such an amazing mare. Wait...that feeling is coming back again. Is this what love feels like? Whoa, hold on there Storm, you promised yourself you wouldn't rush anything. His arguments all fell apart thought when he looked back up at Starshy face. He couldn't help himself; in one smooth motion he leaned over and kissed her. This time he remembered to keep his balance.

"Snowdream, I felt the same way when I saw all of these ponies in pain after Rocket called me down here" he said, pausing to pan over everypony in the room with his hoof, "but most of all, when I saw you knocked-out, which is why I want you to promise me something" he said. He could see Snowdream's eyes glistening, it made him shiver slightly. "Promise me you won't make me feel that pain again, I don't want you to ever get hurt anymore" he said.

Snowdream stared up at him, eyes glistening.

 

'Must have really scared him. How would I fell if I came down here and found him in a similar state...' She thought.

 

"I promise." She whispered to River, "But I'm okay now, aren't I?" She reached up, planting a soft kiss on his cheek.

 

"I'm also sorry I didn't tell you I was going out. If I had then maybe this wouldn't have happened..." She realized.

 

"Hey, Rocket! Who was it who brought me into the lobby? I want to thank them. She asked, trotting over to where Rocket was watching Sarshy help the other injured ponies.

Starshy kissed him back with much vigor. She was simply overjoyed. She had been teased in the past for having a blank flank for as long as she did. Starshy just never knew what her true talent was and after this whole experience, now she knew. She'd still probably be going to Sugarcube Corner once she got back to Ponyville but maybe she'd try to become a nurse or just a healer of sorts whenever someponies needed her help.

 

She broke off the kiss, a smile on her muzzle. " I.. think I'm falling in love with you, Storm. " She confessed, blushing.

"Really?" he said "I felt the same way but I was afraid that if I said anything it would ruin what we had and-" Storm realized he was rambling and clamped his mouth shut. "I mean, uh, I'm pretty sure I'm falling in love with you too." Storm had no idea he could blush so much. "So...does this make us...coltfriend and marefriend now?" he said, nervously pawing the ground.

Night Song didn't mind Mask much pressing against her for warmth. She wrapped a wing around herself and another wing on top of Mask."U-um... I-I j-just had t-to get away a-as w-well," she said through chattering teeth. Her legs were knee-deep in the snow and her mane and tail was getting wet from being dragged in it.

Mask's face reddened a little as Night Song placed her wing over him. Looking ahead, he could see that the power was still out at the hotel, which was both relieving and disappointing at the same time. Mask was cold, but in no hurry to get to the lobby. After all, he was in quite enjoyable company. Mask looked over and saw Night Song's dragging mane and tail, and was glad that he had kept his short. Nonetheless, he wished there was some way he could help.

" Yes, pretty sure it does. " Starshy giggled slightly, letting go of him. " I have a coltfriend now.. and my cutie mark.. it's been quite a day. " She mused, yawning sleepily. She suddenly felt tired. " How 'bout we hit the hay, Storm? " The white coated mare turned a bit red. " I-I mean.. I'm tired.. and could use some sleep and I thought maybe you could - well only if you want - but you don't I understand.. "

Mask's face reddened a little as Night Song placed her wing over him. Looking ahead, he could see that the power was still out at the hotel, which was both relieving and disappointing at the same time. Mask was cold, but in no hurry to get to the lobby. After all, he was in quite enjoyable company. Mask looked over and saw Night Song's dragging mane and tail, and was glad that he had kept his short. Nonetheless, he wished there was some way he could help.

Night Song squinted her eyes as she tried to navigate through the flurry, white world that the resort had transformed into into within seemingly a minute or less. She keep pressing closer to Mask, getting flustered at the fact that she's walking so very close to another pony for warmth. She blushed at the thought and turned a pinkish-red.

Storm gave her a quick peck on the lips to stop her ranting. "I think that sounds like a great idea. It's been a long day and Celestia knows we both need our rest." He hoped his smile looked more confident than he felt. "The only question is where do you want to sleep?"

"Ah... Hi, Chocolate isn't it? My name is Snowdream, um... Rocket over there..." She paused, thinking out what she was going to say, "Rocket says it was you who brought me here, I owe you my life. But how did you know I was in trouble?"

" How about my room? Or yours? " Starshy gave him a smile, deciding not to ramble like she was just a minute ago. It was just her nerves getting the better of her. This would be the first time that she'd be sleeping (/just/ sleeping in case you are wondering) with a stallion. She fidgeted a bit out of nervous energy.

Your room sounds fine. Mine's a complete mess, hehe." Storm didn't want to mention the pile of empty cider bottles from his little drinking binge when he had first arrived at the lodge. Just then he let out a yawn. "Let's hurry too, I'm about to pass out." They (once again, assuming you're following) headed over to the elevator and Storm pressed the button. "Third floor, same as me right?"

" Okay.. " Starshy said and followed him to the elevator. She nodded at his question, be it sleepily. She learned up against him to keep herself from falling over.

 

He's so warm.. She thought to herself, happy she could do stuff like this with him now that they were officially together.

"Then I will get you a hot cup of tea." He said looking to where the dining area was. "Go rest and warm yourself, I'll return shortly."

 

Blazing Storm nodded to Chocolate as he walked to the dining area. He was such a sweet one but he had a worried expression on the face. Even in her condition, she was able to do funny things. She gathered all the pillows she could get and made a big pillow pile. She hid in the pillow pile so that just her eyes could be seen. She just did what Chocolate had told her, to get warm again. The pillows were soft and fluffy and it was just the thing she needed now. But there was more. She felt that she liked him very much and she blushed while thinking about him. Somehow in this short time they spend together she had developed more feeling towards him than she realized. But should she tell him about that now? Perhaps it was a bit misplaced now? She didn´t know for sure how he was feeling about her.

 

 

He came back with the hot cup of tea and a few sweetened baked goods and offered them to her while she rested on a couch. She sniffed the smell of herbs and saw that Chocolate had returned with tea and some sweet baked goods. She looked out of her pillow pile and grabbed one of the baked things. They tasted lovely and the sugar within these things gave her more energy. She loved the flavour and together with the tea it was like a dream. But while she was eating and drinking, she noticed that he was kind of... nervous? What could get a strong stallion like him nervous? He asked how she was feeling. Was he that worried about her? "Hmm... i am feeling fine now. I cannot use my wings because they are feeling still a bit stiff, but i think they will recover soon. It was a very nice of you to get me warm before getting back to the resort... you are my hero!" she said to him with a smile. "Umm.. how i... " she didn´t know exactly if she should ask him or not. She changed the question in a more careful one. "How can i thank you?" she asked him, hoping to get into another little talk with him to find out if... well... if he felt something for her... or not.

Mask and Night Song at last arrived at the hotel after a pleasant walk (In Mask's opinion, at least). Mask opened the double doors to find that the lobby was only marginally warmer than the outside. Mask suddenly remembered the arctic coat that he had packed, but forgotten to take. "Oh! I need to go get something from my room. I'll be right back, unless you want to come with" Mask said beginning to walk toward the stairs.

The large brown stallion seemed surprised when the blue mare approached him asking if it had been him that saved her while she was out in the snow. Slowly he nodded in response keeping his golden gaze averted from hers. He didn't want to scare her away like he normally did with other ponies once they got a good look at him.

 

"Ah... Hi, Chocolate isn't it? My name is Snowdream, um... Rocket over there..." She paused, thinking out what she was going to say, "Rocket says it was you who brought me here, I owe you my life. But how did you know I was in trouble?"

 

He looked her over and appeared very docile as he spoke. "I saw the beam of light and followed it to where you were. You looked to be in terrible shape when I found you." He looked very relieved when he didn't see any noticeable wounds on her body. "I am very glad to see you are alright." He said feeling a little bit of guilt lifting from his shoulders. "You owe me nothing, just seeing you okay is all I need." He said keeping his voice lowered. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Snowdream. I'm Chocolate, but you may call me Cocoa if you so please." He said politely extending a large hoof to her.

"Hmm... i am feeling fine now. I cannot use my wings because they are feeling still a bit stiff, but i think they will recover soon. It was a very nice of you to get me warm before getting back to the resort... you are my hero!" she said to him with a smile.

 

He blushed a little and let his hoof kick at the ground when she said he was her hero. "It was nothing..." He started. "If you'd like... it can be our little secret what happened back there~" He said looking at her through her pillow fort. He was trying his best to hold back a smile when he saw her peeking out from the pillows. She was acting unintentionally cute to him, buried in pillows the way she was.

 

"Umm.. how i... " she didn´t know exactly if she should ask him or not. She changed the question in a more careful one. "How can i thank you?" she asked him, hoping to get into another little talk with him to find out if... well... if he felt something for her... or not.

 

He shook his head and smiled. "Seeing you up and about again is all the thanks I need." He said glowing a little now they seemed to be hitting it off. "So I was thinking..." His voice deepened as he cleared his throat. "Maybe when you are all warmed up we could... maybe... do something?" He asked rubbing his hoof through his mane. "If you don't I understand!" He said quickly. "It's just I feel something when I am around you, Blaze. Something I've never felt around any mare." He said hoping she understood what he was getting at. "Oh hey that's right, I don't even know where you're from" replied River with a light tone, "Okay then, let's go find Sarah" he said. River was certain he already knew everything he needed to about Snowdream, but once again, as had happened to him before, he was rushing into falling in love, not even knowing anything significant about his marefriend. But did he need to? he wouldn't know, he's never even had a marefriend before, even though he thought he had fallen in love before, it wasn't what he thought it would be.

 

"Alright, stay here for a sec, I'll find Sarah" he said to Snowdream. River assumed Sarah is still on ground level, so to travel faster he took flight. Dashing out of the lobby, he flew to the den, the entrance, the bathrooms, but he couldn't find his sister anywhere, not on ground level at least.

 

'Let's think, if I were my sister, where would I be? ...Probably with somepony else' he came up with an answer. River came back over to Snowdream in the lobby. He landed next to her.

 

"Well, I didn't manage to find her, but I'm sure she's okay, I'll search for her maybe later" he said and shrugged, "so do you want to go grab something to eat together?" he asked Snowdream.

"It was nothing..." He started. "If you'd like... it can be our little secret what happened back there~"

 

"Why should we keep this a secret? I think it was a nice thing you have done. But if you you want, i´ll keep my mouth shut." she said smiling to him. He was strong and big but on the other side calm and thoughtful. She loved that about him and made him a very balanced type.

 

 

"So I was thinking..." His voice deepened as he cleared his throat. "Maybe when you are all warmed up we could... maybe... do something?" He asked rubbing his hoof through his mane.

 

"Huh?" she just said. Sometimes she wasn´t the fastest thinker. Was he asking her out on a date or something? She blushed while thinking about that. But she continued listening to him. She didn´t want to misunderstand what he tried to tell her. With big eyes she looked at him, watching his every movement.

 

 

"If you don't I understand!" He said quickly. "It's just I feel something when I am around you, Blaze. Something I've never felt around any mare." He said hoping she understood what he was getting at.

 

That was one of the sweetest things she had ever heard from a stallion and she was blushing red in her face like a vulcano. So he had feeling towards her and it just made her happy to hear this words. Now he had her full attention, she didn´t even notice that she could move her wings again. A pile of warm pillows was warm indeed after all.

 

 

He wasn't normally one to go into his feelings but he wanted to let her know how he felt. "Your such a beautiful mare and I... well I am quite fond of you." He said resolutely. "I want to be by your side." He said looking down to his hooves.

 

She sat up so that the pillows fell down to the sides and she could be seen completely. Blaze looked for a moment somewhat irritated to him, a sign that she didn´t know what to say. He was looking down to his hooves so she got near him and lifted his face to meet hers. The best way to answer him was to let her heart and not her mind speak. She kissed him. Not on his cheeks but for real this time. It was a nice and warm feeling and she enjoyed every moment of it.  After that she just smiled happy and hugged him. Blaze felt his warm and fluffy fur and his heartbeat as she was that close to him. "I wanna be with you too..." she just whispered, unable to describe how she was feeling right now.

Cracker Jack woke up, his hoof had been cured, it didn't bleed anymore nor did it hurt anymore. He looked around to find someone to thank, but sadly he couldn't find no one except Rocket Blast.

Cracker got up and approached Rocket. "Hiya mate! It's a miracle! They fixed mah' leg! I gotta thank you, but first there is something that's been bugging me up, please give me mah' bat back!" he said laughing.

"Yeah well, I would probably still be half dead on the couch if it wasn't for starshy, i don't know what she did, but i fixed me right up. Are you staying here at the resort?"

 

"well it's nice to meet you Cocoa."

"The pleasure is all mine." He said finally looking her in the eyes. "I'm not sure I'll be staying here for too much longer..." His voice drifted. "After what happened to everypony, I don't think I deserve to stay here..." He still seemed to carry the heavy burden of guilt while looking around the lobby. Everyone seemed to be getting back on their feet again but he still believed the fault was all his own. "I won't keep you, Snowdream. I'll see you." He said bowing his head and turning to leave.

The best way to answer him was to let her heart and not her mind speak. She kissed him. Not on his cheeks but for real this time. It was a nice and warm feeling and she enjoyed every moment of it.  After that she just smiled happy and hugged him. Blaze felt his warm and fluffy fur and his heartbeat as she was that close to him. "I wanna be with you too..." she just whispered, unable to describe how she was feeling right now.

Chocolate's eyes widened she pressed her lips to his. His heart beat so fiercely he feared it might burst from his chest. He hadn't time to react as the forward mare showed her true feelings for him in a way he never could have imagined. He soon closed his eyes and surrendered himself to the sensation, to the waking passion that had grown between them. He was a complete stranger to kisses, having never had a marefriend before but he seemed to figure it out. The moment he felt her lips, he knew she was the perfect cure for his loneliness. 

 

All the feelings of guilt, and sadness seemed a distant memory and his thoughts of leaving the resort in guilt and shame faded away. For a few heartbeats he didn't move. Then his arms slipped around her and he was kissing her back, holding her close and embracing the smaller pegasus for that brief moment. She felt hot to the touch, was that another one of her powers related to fire? He was glad he wasn't made of chocolate else he might melted right there. When the kiss was finally broken his cheeks were burning and he looked warm rather than usual calm and collected self. "Thank you, Blaze..." He said smiling with his eyes closed. He had made up his mind... he would stay at the resort.

 

He saw her wings seemed to have warmed up, and decided it might be time to take her to the place he had promised. "Looks like you can move your wings again." He said with a small smile motioning to her wings with his head. He held his hoof to her offering to walk her to the dining area. "I believed I promised you a free hot meal. After all a pegasus has to eat to keep their energy up, right?" He asked winking to her. 

 

(OOC: Didn't see Snowdream's post earlier, I'm going to assume Choclate and Snowdream's small conversation happened a little before he started talking to Blazing Storm.)
