No generic human vs. pony wars.

Why don't you like human vs pony wars?

Are there just to many stories out there that ummm... Suck... with that topic?

Its not bad that you don't prefer that, I just want to know your opinion

  1. Both. Either

Yea, especially if there are OC submissions accepted

A good fanfic is one that keeps events simple, but long to an extent. I also prefer fanfics with good punctuation, grammar, and vocabulary. Humans are very common in fanfics.

Forbidden Fruit by NocturneD on Fanfiction.net is best fanfic.

Just ponies.

12, I think

"Good thing you aim as bad as you fight, you missed my vital organs." "All of them?" Yes, Piccolo, all of them.

My main OCs:           Previously known as:

I suppose. It's a beautiful idea with great potential, but everyone seems to have that idea, all near the beginning of their life in the MLP fandom.

Some do well, but most tend to be new writers - and while I have nothing against new writers, most seem to be pretty much the same thing over and over again.

It's kind of like HiE stories I guess: A beautiful idea, with massive potential, but it's something that pretty much everyone attempts at least once . You can read them from now until the end of eternity, but thee moment when you find a good one is something very, very satisfying.

I'll answer the question regarding humans.  It depends.

I've seen really well written Fics where humans have either gone to Equestria, or met with one or more ponies in other ways (portals to Equestria seem to be a popular plot device).  But I've also seen terribly written fanfics, such as one awful story that was basically a knockoff of Avatar, posted somewhere on fimfiction (there was also a good fanfic that was similar to this one too, so movie parodies and satires aren't always failures).

The point is, it depends on the material and how well the story is written.

1) Do you read fanfics that have nothing to do wih the mane 6 or background characters?

Not unless it's recommended. I'm mostly interested in the ponies I know.

2) Do you also read fanfics that are focused around oc's?

Same as the first question.

3) What do you think makes a good fanfic?

A clear idea, in-character or believable out-of-character ponies, and well-written as far as grammar, spelling, and punctuation goes. Fanfiction writers typically don't have the experience of or put in the same amount of hours, planning, and editing as known names in literature so I don't hold them to those standards, but it's a different thing entirely to not fix run-on sentences or correct minor errors. It just seems sloppy and like they're not proud of their own work if they leave it like that, because most fanfiction could probably be spruced up in an afternoon with a little assistance.

4) Are humans common in fanfics?

They seem pretty common to me, but I'm not surprised. It's always been a popular choice to write about someone from our world ending up in the fictional world and meeting the characters.

5) What is the best fanfic you have read?

Can't pick right now.

6) Do you like a story better if it has humans in it or if it is only ponies?

I prefer ponies but I'm open to stories with humans.

7) How many stories have you read?

I only finished 7 in this fandom so far.

8) What genre of fanfic do you like to read?

Drama, adventure, and sci-fi/fantasy are my favorite genres in general so I gravitate towards those, but I also like stories that reflect the show and are about friendship and character. I especially like things that shed light on a fictional universe or fictional character that canon left unexplained or untouched.

1 Do you read fanfics that have noting to do wih the mane 6 or background characters?  No Iv never come across one that interested me... for that matter Iv never come across a story that lacked the mane 6.

2 Do you also read fanfics that are focused around oc's? Not really but mostly because I havent found any that interest me if any pony has any suggestions let me know

3 What do you think makes a good fanfic? Are humans common in fanfics? A good fan fic is made with a nice solid story that is well written with good punctuation and grammar. It also helps if they dont rush the ending and end with something like "and it was all a dream" dream storys are the laziest endings.

4 What is the best fanfic you have read?  Not sure hard to choose tbh.

5 Do you like a story better if it has humans in it or if it is only ponies? Either way is good for me

6 How many stories have you read? Im not sure I was bed ridden for 3 weeks a few months ago and must have gone through about 20 or so fan fics.

7 What genre of fanfic do you like to read? any its not about the genre its all about the story for me.

I read about 4 or five fanfics in total:

-Life is a lemon- 8.75/10 amazing story with a very interesting and innovative storyline, i definately recommend it

-Id like to be tree - 6.5/10 well.. its..nsfw..(gave me one if the weirdest boners ever)

-The cough - 7/10 a sad short story that i liked, but was not special for me

-With these wings - 10/10 Absolutely amazing and simply astonishing. This is seriously the best thing i have read in my entire life. The storyline is amazing, focussing on my two favorite ponies. the writing style was perfect. It was a very emotional story in my opinion, and wow.. you wont believe how hard i started to cry in the last chaper... i recommend this fanfic to anyone who likes mlp.

Simply. Amazing
