Arrows heart skipped a beat. *welp... Alright* He assumed that they just started dating. He glares at both of them for a seconed, turns, and walks away. *She just wasn't meant for you then.* he thought. He continues walking not looking back head still low while he walks back to his dorm. He walks into his room and sits on the bed. "Just wasn't meant to be." At this point he was almost ready to cry.

After walking for a while, Rambler saw a familiar figure sitting on a bench in the distance. He ran over to Cascade and gave her a look of mock-anger.

 

"Weren't you supposed to meet me back at the dorm so I could congratulate you? I've been looking for you everywhere. Anyway, I'm not even going to bother ask if you made the team, unless the coach is blind or something. So congratulations!"

Lila listened to what Arrow had to say for himself, slightly entertained at his petty attempts to win her over again. When he said those three words two thoughts came to mind. 1. He had to be kidding 2. Chances of getting back with him were slim. And she liked it that way. But she decided if he was stubborn and wanted her back as much as he said he did, then she might consider it.

 

Lila then heard a familiar voice come from behind her, and she turned to meet Ty. "Perfect timing, Ty. I was looking for you." she lied with a smile. She then went and stood by his side, "I was wondering if you wanted to go do something? Or do you have something in mind already?" Lila glared at Arrow out of the corner of her eye.

"Oh, well, I was thinking about going shopping or something, so...," Ty watched Arrow walk away. He soon noticed Arrow's sad expression, and needed to know what to make of it. "That stallion over there seemed down. What was up with him?" He asked Lila, somewhat sidetracking the answer for a moment.

Diamond smiled. "You look lovely. And you can wear any of my dresses whenever you want. Now...I need to take a look at...RIBBONS." Diamond squeaked, Hugging a blue mare sitting behind a desk, Sewing a ribbon onto a hat. the mare smiled and hugged Diamond back. "Hello Di." She looked over at Lite and smiled. "Hello, my name is Blue Ribbon." She said, Holding out her hoof to shake Lite's.

Lite began to giggle once Diamond reacted to seeing another one of her old friends. She returned her hoofshake.

 

"I'm Lite Shade. But, just call me Lite.", she said simply, as she looked around the store again. She placed a few more shirts of her choosing in the basket, and even found a "Pranceton University" hoodie as well, also placing that in the basket.

The two made their way down to the shops to buy, whatever caught their eyes. They passed a few none really seemed interesting enough to go into. After a while Lila saw a store she hadnt noticed before. Going up to the window she saw the place had some pretty nice clothes and "Saddlebags!" Lila exclaimed. She made her into the store not bothering to see if Ty followed her in.

Cascade jumped slightly. She had been daydreaming, eyes having grown to be half closed. "Oh... Rambler!" She quailed slightly under his gaze until she realised he was feigning anger, at which point she laughed and smiled. "Thanks! Coach said I was the best swimmer she'd seen so far. Called me an otter." She laughed again.

Diamond chuckled. "We need to get you pants as well." She said, smiling Ribbon then trotting over to a rack and taking down a couple pairs of pants. "You also need at least one dress for prom. And a hat." She said moving from the pants to a whole bunch of hats on a counter.

Rambler laughed. Obviously she was the best. Rambler had never seen anyone who could swim like her. Again, he felt like there was a memory at the back of his mind that he couldn't quite recall. But that wasn't important right now.

 

"Well of course she said you were the best. Did you really think that there could be anyone better? Well anyway, do you want to go do something to celebrate?"

Cascade sighed, shrugging. Honestly, she'd like nothing better than a celebratory nap, but she didn't want to insult Rambler by not wanting to spend time with him... Her mind cast about. All she could really decide was that she didn't want to go to a fancy, sit-down restaurant again. 

 

"I heard there's a nice shopping centre nearby... Why don't we just go and walk around?"

Arrow laid down on his bed looking up at the ceiling. "hmmm... " He thought to himself as he conjures up multiple daggers. He makes an imaginary target on his wall and starts to toss a dagger at his target. He was doing this for a while because of how his encounter with Lila went. He is not thinking of killin anypony, he's just playing darts but in dagger form.

Cascade shrugged. She was wearing a small smile. "Well, I don't know. I just thought we'd just look. I don't think there's anything I need..." She trailed away, silent for several moments, as if she was trying to think if there was something she was forgetting that she needed... Nope. She was fine.

"So anyway, how were the swim team tryouts? Did you see any promising swimmers- besides yourself, of course? Does it look like it'll be a good team?"

Lila smiled as she tried on the bag for size and found it fit her perfectly. "I think im going to get this one. Its so much nicer than my other one, which is still sitting in the practice arena." She then took a look at the price and cringed at it. Of course the one thing she needed had to be completely out of her price range and she let out a sigh, setting the bag back where she got it from.

As Lite kept on looking at clothing, she came across a black, lacy hat.. It was perfect for her, as she playfully put it on. Then, she turned to Diamond.

 

"Hey, Diamond.... I don't mean to sound stupid, but... What's "prom?", she asked, honestly looking confused at her.

Its lots of fun. Everypony thinks you need a date to go to prom but the last few proms I went too...I was by myself...Doing the shuffle in the middle the dance floor." She smiled. 

"I like that hat. And right now, our top priority...is getting you a prom dress...Hey Riiiibbooon ? Would you be able to make Lite a custom dress...On me of course." She said.

Ribbon nodded. "I will need to get some measurements but I can do that." before Lite could say anything, Ribbon trotted over and nudged her towards a small stand, next to it was a measuring tape and a pin cushion.
