Lite somewhat ignored what Lila was saying, as she looked to the ground as well, tears beginning to well up again.

 

"Master Sombra... was like a parental figure... He was the only one that cared for me... He taught me everything there is to know about shadow magic... I trusted him with everything... And when he went to the Crystal Kingdom, he told me it was to help me be with my parents again... Until I found out he was a slaveholder... He took over everypony of the Crystal Kingdom... Including my parents... That's when I was going to run away... I didn't care what happened to me next... I just didn't want to see his face again..."

 

She began to break down in tears.

Lila broke out of her little trance once Lite began to cry. Once again she had no idea what to do, so she began to lightly brush Lites mane. it made her feel rather awkward and uncomfortable, but she did it anyways hopping that Lite didn't take it the wrong way. *Ugh, Why universe? Why do you make me go through this stuff?*

"Well...Wha...Uh...We...Um...We could be." She blushed. "I mean...I...Ok...That's it, Cards on the table...Time to come clean...Im going to say it, Nightfall...I real-" She was cut off as the waitress placed their food down on the table. "Here you are, I hope you two have a wonderful night." She said, Smiling and walking over to serve another few ponies.

He had also blushed, but the waitress had some incredible timing. As in, incredibly bad timing. He felt nervous as he looked back at Diamond.

"Um... You were saying..?"

He knew by now she was feeling just as nervous and awkward, but he needed to know what she was going to say.

Shade followed night to get some lunch, or food, or what ever... She kept looking back at Ty as if something was bothering her, but she didn't want to think about it she would maybe mention it on the date.

 

"So... Where do you want to eat?"

She asked night. Shade was getting kind of hungry, but wasn't craving anything.

"Hmmmm..." Night Song said, observing the variety of foods to choose from. "Well, there's always that place over there," she pointed out, gesturing with her hoof, a wing, and a nod. It was a place that had a foreign feel to it (it's Thai food). "Or that place," she said, pointing to a place that sold barbequed food(no meat!).

Lite didn't mind the mane stroking as her tears kept flowing from her silver, emotionless eyes. Everything she had learned... Was that all a bunch of lies?  Her crying gradually began to cease after a few moments, as she finally calmed down.

"Taking things apart and remaking them... I like to do that with most mechanical things. I'm hoping eventually to make a living off of doing that. And... And, if I may, I'm going to guess cooking is your hobby... Right..?"

"Yea...Cooking and acting." She smiled, Feeling herself relax slightly. "So, What kind of thing's do you like to take apart ?" She asked, Sipping her soup and burning herself again. "Buck." She muttered, Finishing off her wine. *Get it together Diamond...Get. It. Together.*

"Almost anything I can get my hooves on. Clocks are a big thing that I like taking apart."

He sipped his wine, feeling still a bit nervous. He couldn't ask her what she really meant now. It was too late. Maybe he could ask her later. But he still felt tensed up. He knew he didn't real,y drink, but he had to unwind somehow. He finished his glass of wine quickly.

Night Song nodded her head and went over to the foreign food place. Strangely enough, the designs decorating the restaurant reminded her of the designs on the bow Chaser Wing got for her when he got back from one of his mission trips to a land far away.

 

After a couple minutes of thought, Night Song ordered rice with black beans and carrots on top. She stepped out of the way and withdrew some bits from a pocket strapped onto her wrist.

Sweets couldn't believe it was actually happening... To her, of all ponies! Sweets had said goodbye to her family. Even her kitten Toffee, who she had left with her aunt was behind her for now. All she could see... Was Pranceton! The pegasus grinned wide, wings fluttering rapidly. "Heeeeeeee....~" she squealed happily, trying to contain it. She brought it all in. 

 

"Hooooo... Okay, Sweets. Okay. Gotta be refined. This isn't lower education anymore. No. This is the big leagues. This is where my adult life starts-" she pouted. "But... I got all this yummy pocky and pop rocks... Can adults eat sugar and candy?!" she searched for an answer, before sighing in relief. "Yes. Yes they can. My sugar stash is safe." she noted a few odd looks form other students, grinned awkwardly. "... Horsefeathers. Use internal dialogue, Sweets." she chided herself in a cold mutter. On a small cart were her belongings. Around her neck, important books and documents. Opening her pack, she noted her most important companion; her schedule.

 

"Eeeeeeee...~" she squealed again, her face trying to contain a grin that it had no business trying to support. She looked at her schedule. 

 

C1- Intro to Anatomy: Introduction to the basic anatomy of a pony, covering use of wings, magic's play in the body and the workings of the average pony.

 

C2- Vocal Training: A very basic singing course where the voice is studied carefully to ensure the best lesson plan. Generally tailored to the student's range and vocal talent. A range of genres will be studied and sung.

 

C3- Studio Art (Adv.): A basic art class, covering all forms of art using several different mediums.

 

C4- Soaring and Freewheeling: An outdoor flying class that puts the student's muscles and natural finesse to the test, teaching the student to be flexible and to know their body properly.

 

C5- Writing Dialogue (For Comics): Key pointers on how to write interesting and exciting dialogue for cartoon strips, comics, graphic novels etc.

 

C6- Pegasus Biology: Specifically deals with the internal workings of the pegasus. Muscular, Skeletal and Adrenal systems are heavily looked at.

 

C7- Imagine, Understand, and Create: A free thinking workshop that teaches the student to get in touch with their creative side. Also teaches the student the ins and outs of creatign an actual piece of clothing. One garment sketch is required every two weeks, showing all the realistic proportions and means to be created.

 

Sweets would sigh. "My fault for doing a double major I guess. Ah well!" she giggled, rolling her schedule up and trotting off. "First thing to do is find out where I can crash, I guess. I didn't get a dorm assignment. Are they co-ed? That'd be scary and neat." she said to herself, flapping her wings idly as she pulled her belongings along. A fresh new face, ready to learn. 

 

Grrrrrrr-GLUMP! Sweets blushed heavily, looking down at her stomach. She grinned embarrassedly and chuckled. Guess I'm hungry from the train ride. she thought. With a flick of her aqua blue mane, Sweets would head towards the Cafe. Maybe there'd be something there she could rustle up for a few bits...

Most of the time I have to stick to simple spells, but that raising of the dead one is really hard to cast. I think im going to teach myself how to cast invisible fires and use those for my defensive spells. I actually brought a few of my necromancy magic books with me if you ever want to take a look at them. There is one spell ive been wanting to try for a while. Its a fire serpent. If you want we can go down to the target practice and try it there." she offered standing up, holding out a hoof to help Lite up.

Back at his dorm, Typhoon was deep in thought. I hope Shade won't be jealous that I have to take Lila out on a date. He thought. Will it cause rifts in our relationship? *mental groan* This situation is a buck-up. For my head, at least. I should just stop thinking. Yeah, not thinking about something makes your mind ease itself, right?... and I'll start now... Buck. He couldn't figure out how to not think about anything.

When they had both finished their meal's, The waitress came over with the bill. "I'll pay." Diamond said, Grabbing her coin purse and handing the bit's to the waitress. "Well...This was fun." She smiled and stood up. "We should do this again soon. Shall we go back to the school ?" She asked.

Again Cascade wasnt in the dorm room. Lila made her way to her bed and jumped in, falling asleep after a few minutes.

Rambler was elated. She liked him, and that made everything okay.

Cascade couldn't help laughing at him as they walked out of the cafeteria together. She twined her tail with his as she said, "I don't know. Are we? You haven't asked me out yet. Or was that an attempt to?" She actually briefly considered that as a possibility for several moments...

Sweets couldn't help but feel the rumbling in her stomach grow more and more intense. She sighed. "Don't worry Sweets, they have to have somewhere to feed students..." she murmured. Looking about, the enormity of what was happening hit her like a sack of pencil shavings Maybe... maybe I'm in too deep. Maybe somepony like me... Doesn't belong here. Her ears lowered at the thought. Her exuberant green eyes seemed so lost. She tugged her scarf, feeling the small locket jingle underneath. As she wandered the halls, Sweets would find herself at the cafeteria! Though it didn't seem to help her lost look or feelings of being out of place.
