Nightfall chuckled as Diamond bumped his flank. But then another pony, the one Diamond had identified as Ty, asked him about relations with the teacher.

"Hey, now. Teachers are ponies, too."

He sighed.

"They can have their fun with whoever they want to, just like us students."

"Aww, why so serious? Relax. I was just yanking your tail. You know, whatever floats your boat." Ty stated while he shrugged. A small smile came across his mouth as he recited his first sentence. 'why so serious'. I hope this guy doesn't think I'm a flat-out douche for saying that.

*Wow, this is better than I thought!* He wraps his hooves around her torso kissing back. *Wonder how she thinks about my kissing* He thought about this and started to worry that he wasn't kissing good. *well if it wasn't she wouldn't pull me back into kissing again* He was happy that he finally had a mare friend that liked him and he liked her.

Lila once again ended the kiss to catch her breath. She looked into Arrows eyes and hers seemed to light up. "Hey, uhh, sorry for ruining the moment but I kind of want to go practice magic some more. You're welcome to join me if you want." she said hopping he wouldn't be too upset.

Arrow smiled and puts a hoof on her cheek. "Its ok, but yes I'd love to join." He said reassuring as he hopped off the bed. Is she still going to blow her horn off her head with that weird lava spell back at the training area?* He wondered.

Arrow smiled and puts a hoof on her cheek. "Its ok, but yes I'd love to join." He said reassuring as he hopped off the bed. "How was your first kiss?" he asked nervously and looked at her in the eyes. *Please say good or not bad... Lila slid off the bed next to Arrow, "I don't know, why don't you tell me?" she asked jokingly, stuffing her books into her saddlebag. She then realized she was still wearing the same thing from yesterday (oops...). She quickly threw off what she was wearing and put on something fresh. "Alright im ready when you are."

Lila slid off the bed next to Arrow, "I don't know, why don't you tell me?" she asked jokingly, stuffing her books into her saddlebag. She then realized she was still wearing the same thing from yesterday (oops...). She quickly threw off what she was wearing and put on something fresh. "Alright im ready when you are."

"well i thought it was good." He replied as he watched her scramble around getting new clothes on. "What spell are you going to try?" Maybe he could try the same spell? "Do you think I could try the same spell?" The only magical thing he could do was conjure a few swords, bows arrows, well.. Anything pointy.

Rambler turned back to Cascade and followed her out of the building.

 

"Right, I'm sorry about that. It's just that you don't deserve to be treated that way. And he thinks he can just casually walk up to you afterwards like nothing happened. It makes me mad to see him disrespect you like that. Let's just forget about it, it's in the past now. I don't think he's going to interfere anymore." 

Cascade shrugged noncommittally. "Yeah... I dunno, though... He can be pretty determined..." She sighed, and fell back slightly to walk beside Rambler. She chose to maintain an uncomfortable silence as they walked aimlessly. She actually sort of hoped he'd take the lead, and choose where to go. She wasn't feeling particularly decisive.

"You don't realize how difficult that spell is do you? I almost fainted last night trying to cast it and I've been practicing necromancy since I was a filly. I don't think its a good idea, no offence." Lila looked at Arrow with worried eyes as she said this. "Now that I come to think of it, I faint when casting most the spells I know." then the realization hit her. She wasn't very good at magic over all. Lila sat in the spot where she was to think about all the years of magic she had learned.

Rambler sighed, feeling the weight of the awkward silence between them. Eventually he had to say something

 

"So, I guess we should go get lunch or something...", Rambler said heading towards the cafeteria. 

 

"I got a fair amount of money from playing again today, so I'll pay for you. Not that I wouldn't have anyway, but, well you know."

 

Rambler sighed again. That certainly hadn't helped the awkwardness. He just hoped it wouldn't be like this every time Star Keeper showed up.

"You don't realize how difficult that spell is do you? I almost fainted last night trying to cast it and I've been practicing necromancy since I was a filly. I don't think its a good idea, no offence." Lila looked at Arrow with worried eyes as she said this. "Now that I come to think of it, I faint when casting most the spells I know." then the realization hit her. She wasn't very good at magic over all. He said the sentence while conjuring a bow that glowed a black aura around it with points on the end of the bow. (traditional or recurve). He also conjures a 4 bladed arrow and put it on the string. Trying to impress her.

He continued in silence after that, following instructions and even once finding himself hovering. He blushed a little, work hard at his recipe. After sometime, he compared his with the final picture on the recipe. There was barely any difference.

Rambler had something else on his mind, but he was afraid to bring it up. He was afraid that Cascade would think they were moving to fast and it would scare her off. But the awkward situation they were in at the moment couldn't get much worse anyway.

 

"I've been thinking. I'm really not looking forward to spending the rest of the year living with Star, so I wanted to maybe get a place of my own just off campus. But even with the money I've been getting for performing lately, an apartment is really more than I can afford on my own. I'd need a roommate to help pay for it, and you're the only person in the area who I really know, so... I guess you can probably see where this is going. I know it's really fast and sudden, and I completely understand if you don't want to but, well, I guess I was hoping you might move in with me...?"

Cascade jerked out of the trance she had fallen into. Had he really...? "I... um..." She said, slightly distraught. It was too soon, and she didn't even know what to think about the situation anyway, overlooking the fact that she had only just met Rambler the other day. He really was clueless, wasn't he? "I'm sorry, Rambler. I can't. I just can't." All of the weight of the situation she had gotten into came crashing down on her shoulders at once, and her eyes teared up, and she turned from him and ran. Ran, ran, ran. She didn't even really see where she was going.

Running after her, Rambler cursed under his breath. How could he have been so stupid? He should have known better than to put her on the spot like that, especially after the situation with Star must have already left her stressed out.

Well that was quick. Star could hear the galloping of hooves behind him but he never expected it in his life to be Cascade. Was it something Star said, or could it have possibly been Rambler? There was only one way to find out, but he was afraid to ask, especially after the run in they had not 2 seconds ago. But Rambler wasn't here, this was just Cascade. Star bucked up what little courage he had and called out to the fleeing mare.

 

"Cascade, are you alright?! Did I upset you?!"

Cascade just kept running. She could hear Rambler behind her, calling for her to please come back. She saw Star Keeper looking concerned. But she didn't stop to chat. Why couldn't they understand that she just needed to be left alone for a while? A long while... 

 

After a few minutes, she blinked, and found herself standing outside of Paradise Gymnasium. She ran inside, and into the mare's locker room, which she was pleased to find deserted. They couldn't follow her in there. Throwing her saddlebag and clothes into an empty locker, she trotted into the steam room, where the steam seemed to clear her mind. Hopefully now, she'd be able to think clearly.

 

((There's a separate steam room in the mare's locker room from the one in the colt's. Same with sauna.))

Diamond nodded and trotted over. She levitated a spoon over and dipped it into the sip. She took a sip and smiled. "Forget going out for dinner again...That's delicious." She said. "The one thing I would suggest would be maybe a little less salt and a tad bit more pepper. But overall I think its awesome." She smiled at Nightfall then trotted over to another student who had somehow managed to set a pot on fire.

 Rambler gave up on following Cascade. Maybe it was best to just leave her alone.Then he saw Star talking to Cascade, and approached him, making no attempt to conceal his hostility.

He looks around the training area. *Wish they had some targets.* he thought as he was conjuring an arrow and looking a the point of it. He was thinking if he could make it more lethal than just four blades.

Stars soft tone was now replaces with a scowl, looking down at rambler with a harsh glare. "I don't have to like you, but it seems we have no choice but to cooperate."

When they arrived at the training room, Lila set her books in a corner of the room and took a spot in the center. She began the same spell from before, and the floor began to melt into a pool of lava. After a few seconds the lava began to rise up higher and higher. Lila was holding her breath while she tried to complete the spell, and after a few more seconds she gave up and released the breath she held in. When the floor turned back to normal her head began to throb furiously as if protesting for the attempt.

Friend? What gave him the right to say he was Cascade's friend? And now he was accusing Rambler of mistreating her? Who does he think he is?

 

Rambler was sick of listening to Star Keeper. He couldn't take it anymore, and he reared back and bucked the stallion in the face as hard as he could.

 

"I warned you to stay out of it. She doesn't want anything to do with you and neither do I."

 

He then turned and wandered off, not really knowing where he was going to end up.
